Ken and his crew at Exterior Improvements absolutely crushed it on our roof in Spotswood. From start to finish, the whole experience was top-notch. Ken’s customer service was aces — incredibly responsive, very transparent about everything, and he made the entire process smooth and stress-free. The team showed up on time, worked efficiently, and the quality of the work was excellent. You can tell they take pride in what they do. The pricing was very reasonable, and Ken was upfront and honest the entire time, which is something you don’t always find with contractors. If you’re looking for roofing work or exterior projects done right, Ken and the crew at Exterior Improvements are one of the best teams around. Awesome to work with and I’d recommend them to anyone in Spotswood or the surrounding area.

Working with Exterior Improvements was an extremely positive experience. Their representative was courteous and available at all times, including evenings and weekends. The subcontractors they used (roofing, metal fabrication and installation and solar) were of the highest caliber. They were professional and easy to deal with. They worked diligently and their work was high quality. I would gladly use each of the subcontractors individually for work in the future. Ken at Exterior was available and strove to make sure the work was meeting expectations. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone who needs work of this nature.

Exterior Improvements recently replaced our roof, skylights, gutters (also added guards), and damaged siding, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From start to finish, the team was punctual, honest, and incredibly friendly. They truly transformed our house. Ken was great to work with — clear communication, fair, and very professional. The crew cleaned up thoroughly each day; there wasn’t a single piece of debris or stray nail left behind. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of roofing or exterior work.

the worst possible customer service. unresponsive, slow... I am still chasing them to get scheduled 6 weeks after giving them a huge deposit. typical sales rep promises of I will be with you all the way to make sure everything is satisfactory and then no response or help or proactive follow ups.... I just read some other reviews and decided to update.... at least one other review specially calls out Sean who was also my sales rep. Perhaps if you get a different sales rep you will have a better experience? but the company should know this is a specific issue.

"First I want to say that I did A TON of research before I decided on the right company to do the job of completely replacing my roof. I learn tons of stuff about roofs in my research, and in talking to many roofers. I chose Exterior Improvements because I learned of the high quality materials that they would be using (Owens Corning Duration) for my roof. Not only the shingles but the synthetic underlayment and all the high quality Owens Corning stuff that comes in the package that they put UNDER the shingles, like Ice and Water Shield, Flashing around my chimney and Drip Edges. They used everything that every roofer I talked to said was "state of the art" for roofs these days. The thing is that they did all that at a very reasonable price! The day they came they were on time, very accommodating and professional and did a high quality job. Since I heard how important the number of nails in each shingle was, I watched them all day and counted the nails, and they did not cut corners! In addition, they did the job so fast, they finished it in one day and they cleaned up everything at the end so nicely that my property looked neater and cleaner after they left then before they came! I love the look of the the high quality Owens Corning Duration shingles( I chose the beautiful Teak Color) however they also use the high quality Timberline, I just personally do not care for the look of the Timberline shingles. Exterior Improvements also did my gutters a bigger size than I had had before and they were done perfectly and look beautiful. Ken, the owner, seems to focus on high quality for his business at an affordable price. As you can imagine, I am super happy with their work and obviously HIGHLY RECOMMEND Exterior Improvements!"
