“We've requested repairs to spots that were missed multiple times with no resolution. Price changed day of painting.”
“Pricing was increased months after I signed quote. Multiple employees told me contradicting things in regards to the type of stain i could use to coverup the existing color. I was told I would receive a gift basket for my troubles by one of the project managers, the other project manager had never heard of this being offered. It was a lie, never received a gift basket.”
“I hired 5 Star Painting to paint the exterior of the house with 2 coats which was recommended by their salesperson. I expected them to paint the first coat, let me know when it was done, let it dry and then apply the second coat. However, after only a day and a half of work for the 2 painters they told me they completed the 2 coats. Based on the little time it took, the amount of leftover paint (about 2 gallons out of 6 gallons purchased) and on the fact that there were a couple of big spots which needed touch up (after 2 coats?) I concluded that they have not done a thorough job of painting 2 coats, at the very best they applied a thicker one coat. The owner Scott Specker would not accept the evidence I presented to him and was adamant that they had completed the 2 coats. I've used 5 Star on 4 previous occasions but based on this last experience I would definitely not hire 5 Star anymore and consequently would not recommend them to any of my friends.”
“While the overall paint work was good, the attention to detail was beyond lacking. We have tried for over a month to have them come back to fix the detailed work (and clean up the worksite since they left paint all over our sinks). They have not yet come to fix them. They have been no-shows twice. This is beyond disappointing.”

“They were incredibly responsive from my first phone call right on through the entire project. It was a complex job and our project manager made sure every wish we had was fulfilled. I would highly recommend.”
“The painting job was done well, but communication and project planning was not great. My job was moved quite a bit, but not too surprising given weather in the South. Communication about and with project managers were confusing. Also, if I wasn't attentive to detail, the colors and paint type were incorrectly made following my signature of the estimate and the final job provided to its subcontractors. The subcontractors were great in adjusting those items and delivered a good product.”
