I found Drainage and Erosion Solutions through the Fairfax County Best Picks report and other reviews. My house was built in 1948 and my husband and I bought it last April. A week before Christmas our finished basement was completely flooded. We called in a professional company to dry it out. But it wasn't clear where all of the water was coming from. A few weeks later it flooded a second time. Now it was literally a race against time to waterproof the basement. I reached out to Drainage & Erosion Solutions and talked to the owner David. He came out the next day to look at the problem. He sent over a plan the next day. Originally, they couldn't make it until the end of January but knowing how desperate I was he fit me in a few days later. His crew worked through the freezing temperatures, snow and long days. They put in 2 sump pumps, new window wells, ran the pipes from the gutters underground away from the house and a french drain in my back patio. The work is amazing. I'm sharing pictures of my basement and yard. Before my basement was torn up and flooded and they had to dig up the yard to run the pipes! As you can see after it looks amazing and it works. I have to give a shout out to Gerardo, Rogelio and Jessica the office manager for their hard and professional work. It's rare you find a company that does great work, communicates and treats you like someone they know. Thank you everyone.

If you're looking for quality work for a good value, look no further. From Jessica in the office, to David and Donaldo - everyone we worked with from DES was top-notch. Out of four estimates we received, DES was right in the middle from a cost perspective. The work was scheduled quickly and completed in 6 consecutive days (with the crew having Friday off). The DES crew was courteous, professional, and always took the time to answer my questions as the job was underway. They didn't leave the final day until everything looked perfect. When unexpected issues arose during the job, David went out of his way to discuss potential solutions. I have already recommended DES to neighbors and will continue to do so. A sincere thank you to everyone at DES!

We booked work with Drainage and Erosion Solutions for our back yard, lower level yard which was basically, dirt and a small slab patio. We experienced a high level of professionalism and courtesy from the owner to crew, throughout the process. The work was done in the promised two days (with a rain day in between) and not only was the end result functional (we are in a flood zone) but, aesthetically beautiful. We wished we had done this years ago! Thank you, Mark and crew for great work.

Drainage and erosion solutions was fantastic to work with. They did a phenomenal job with coming up with the most economical, as well as functional way to waterproof the sides of our home, and then create a pretty landscaped effect on the sides of our home incorporating a French drain rock, stepping stones and pathway. David was fantastic to work with on the negotiation of the project, and their pricing was very fair. David was very responsive and was here the day the job was kicked off to make sure that everything went as planned. Gerardo was the head guy for our job, and he also was fantastic to work with, and was willing to modify and make changes as we went along. They even threw in some additional elements at no cost. I cannot say enough about how great it was to work with this company and I highly recommend them for any outside job you need done. Ginny

Our sump pump was running every 30 seconds during a heavy rain and even in a medium rain it'd be going on and off all day. We started to have water seeping into the basement foundation from the walls. I was referred to Drainage and Erosion Solutions by a very trusted Windows/Siding Contractor so I decided to give them a call. They came out right away, everything was smooth, they were always polite and professional and their quote for the job was very competitive. (I always get 3 quotes for any contracting work.) They installed grating for driveway runoff and connected all gutter downspouts to underground piping to lead water away from foundation. Since they've come out for the work, there has been NO MORE WATER in basement and the sump pump only comes on during HEAVY rains and even then just a few times a DAY. A few months later I called David, their Operations Manager, because I didn't like where the water was exiting the pipes, sort of pooling in grass. He's a stand-up guy and understood my concerns. The result, Drainage and Erosion Solutions came out to extend the pipes a few feet further to address this concern, free of charge and their crew came out immediately. Here's the thing. When you call, they answer. They really stand behind their work and it shows. Will recommend them to friends/family/neighbors with ABSOLUTE CONFIDENCE everyone will be as satisfied as me.
