"Inspection felt like a high-pressure sell. Inspector asked our professions before giving the quote. We were scheduled to begin on a Monday, but they didn't show, so I called them and it turned out that had the wrong phone number for me and couldn't confirm the appointment. That would've been an appropriate excuse if they hadn't had a confirmed email address for me from which I had signed paperwork previously. The air vents in the basement were not covered when jackhammering the concrete, so there was a layer of fine dust all over my house, even up to the second floor. The basement was not cleaned after the job was complete (i.e. the tarps are still hung, there is dust and small chunks of debris everywhere, carpet was not folded back into place)."

Installers were very informative when asked about the work and did a great job of not only installing the vapor shield but also cleaning up afterwards. "The initial contact was quite thorough and clear. I made the decision to hire right away. The crew was pleasant and efficient. I had not understood they would not move my things back in place and complained ( I'll be 80 next year; I live along and cannot lift much. Two men came out and did the replacing for me and I was most grateful. When I had a problem, someone came out right away and fixed it with no charge. The steep price was a problem for me ( because the first contractor had charged me $18,000 already ) but I'm still glad I chose Value Dry."

"I had to fix a water seepage in my basement. That area had been fixed by another company Mr. Basement earlier in 2016, who went out of business and would not therefore support their so called "lifetime warranty". Value Dry fixed it this time. Comparing the job done by Mr. Basement in 2016 vs that done by Value Dry, I would say Value Dry did a far better job. There was less dust during the process and their waterproofing method is far better. They even installed a flushout valve at one end of the installed drain pipe for cleaning purposes which Mr. Basement did not advise and did not do. Also they buried the outside pipe, which should be the way to do it, instead of Mr. Basement who left it running along the side of the house and run back to the foundation!!!! Also Value Dry removed the wooden frame at the bottom of the floor so as to properly concrete the floor below the frame. Mr. Basement did not do that, and as a result I could see they just stuffed the concrete as far as they could and there were cracks and crevices along the wall!! I should have gone with Value Dry in 2016 and avoided all the hassle."

"I feel rooked by this company because of my inexperience. They did the work the sales person indicated but much faster than he said it would take. Instead of three full days they worked the morning of each of three days. They did everything contracted for but tried to get me to change the scope of work so they did not have to dig a 70 foot trench to dispose of water. The trench was contracted for at $20 per foot. It is the only thing that was done on the third morning of work because I had not allowed them to do it any other way. Had I not insisted they would have finished the project with about 8 hours work for more than $17,000. There were a few hundred dollars of materials involved in the form of concrete, plastic pipe and plastic sheeting."
