“Basement to Beautiful” install. This was phase 3 of my basement waterproofing project, the second of which Nick T was the foreman. He and his crew that included Zack S and Bryce S did a great job. They completed the project in a single day, making sure that they stayed late until the job was done. Now I’m looking forward to remodeling the inside trusting in the knowledge that the waterproofing is complete!

Back in March, I called a HVAC company to service our units and get a quote on cleaning our ductwork. Upon opening the main floor unit, the tech discovered mold and went under the house to investigate. He told me it wouldn’t do any good to clean the ductwork until the crawl space problem he discovered was resolved. He gave me some companies to call and I ended up going with Frontier. I knew there was a problem and he seemed to be honest because the previous company said we needed 2 sump pumps and this guy said we didn’t need any because there were no water lines on the foundation but we needed encapsulation. We signed with them in March and they started working the end of May. 1st phase was to remove the vapor barrier and remove the mold, the wood looks brand new. Second phase was to encapsulate and set a dehumidifier. Third phase was to run electric to the dehumidifier. During this process there were at least 8 different men under the house. After finishing the encapsulation, Tony gave this crew the last of what was owed. He said while the ‘lead guy’ in his 20’s was finishing loading his truck, they stood outside talking quite a while. As an almost afterthought or he just remembered to tell him, he said, ‘Oh by the way…you have a very slow leak under your house and it’s been leaking for quite some time. Probably years.’ Please refer to pictures starting after the opening to the crawl space. When looking through all the previous pictures, you see shiny ductwork and somehow 8 different people ’missed’ this and wasn’t photographed until this kid heard a drip every so often???? Every representative of this company said I’m sorry this was missed but every house can benefit from encapsulation. I’m sorry, I didn’t call you to find out what could benefit our house, I called you to find the source of the problem. YOU HAD ONE JOB! When I said, ‘what if this kid didn’t tell us, we would still have the air quality problem you sold this deal on?’ and they kept saying thank goodness he found it. The operations manager Logan offered to fix the leak and replace the portion of ductwork the leak damaged. I told him that is unacceptable. He asked what would make it right, I said to refund our money, less the mold removal. I already had the leak fixed and he reimbursed with a check I couldn’t cash because he put Tony’s name on it with my last name. After calling the HVAC back to clean the rest, they said they couldn’t clean the ductwork and it would have to be replaced. He quoted me $17,000. Logan consulted with the HVAC trying to get him to give him a price for just that damaged part!!! He told him all of it needed replacing. They weren’t willing to pay for that. I figured if they didn’t have the decency to make it right, I would let you know about their unethical business practices. Looking back, the very fact the guy who’s job was to find the source of the problem, WROTE MY SON’S NAME IN MOLD and photographed it, just set really wrong with me. At first I laughed it off and said nice touch because I knew a fix was needed…he just ‘missed’ the real problem, but hey, thank goodness that 20 year old kid spoke up. My line of thinking would have been to fix the leak, replace the ductwork, AND THEN RE-ASSESS. I did consult legal advice and I would advise everyone to read every line of a contract…they write them so they can take advantage of people.

While there were a few minor ups and downs at the start of the process with the sales team, the exceptional team members I worked with truly turned the experience around. Adam was instrumental in resolving an issue that was overlooked during the initial foundation inspection. He went above and beyond to ensure that I felt heard and well taken care of as a customer. When it came time for the encapsulation, Fernando, Alex, and Alejandro were nothing short of amazing. The team was efficient, highly knowledgeable, and dedicated to ensuring everything was completed to my satisfaction. They kept me informed every step of the way, which I truly appreciated. Thank you for the great service!

I have used frontier foundation, and crawlspace repair at my home for the last 6+ years. They initially installed the encapsulation and also a dehumidifier. I have it serviced annually. Today, Joshua D was a technician that came to my home. He was highly respectful of my home and highly knowledgeable of the entire system. I highly recommend frontier foundation, and crawlspace repair.

Very professional Josh Miller was the lead working with Lance and Hector and they were very kind from the beginning. Very neat and tidy. Every morning they would ask if we had any questions. They made the experience pleasurable. Highly recommend.
