Our 4 year old large and extraordinarily heavy sliding glass door failed with the back roller losing ball bearings and a stripped screw that allows the door to slide correctly. As two healthy 70 year olds, it took our full body weight to open and close the door, a potential safety issue as it is our only exit to the backyard. The attached pictures do not show the serious issue but look closely and you can see with the first two pictures it was not square in the track. The last two pictures shows the door square in the frame after the rollers were replaced. We called SFW Construction based on their recommendations on the internet. Getting it out safely was the issue. After our first call, we were convinced that we made the right decision. SFW did a great job diagnosing the issue, confirming the roller failure wasn't a function of an uneven floor installation, making recommendations, and gave a quote, that made sense. They sent a talented, professional, experienced crew to manhandle the door out of the frame. We knew is was going to be very difficult due to the stripped adjustment screw and door weight. Took time, but the crew got it out, with no damage to the frame and surrounding moldings. They constantly cleaned up after each move. They quickly set the heavy glass door on work horses, replacing the defective rollers, reinstalled the door, set the rollers to slide safely and securely, and cleaned up. The crew told us it was the most difficult sliding door they have repaired. We have previous experience with sliding glass doors replacing the rollers ourselves or with a handyman. We knew that the extra size of this door required professional help. We are so pleased with SFW Construction that the firm will be our first call as future projects in our new home are developed. We are not a customer that hires firms based only on cost. We hire based on the ability to get the job done effectively, efficiently, and safely. Cost is only one factor for us. We will not hesitate to hire SFW Construction for any future projects. We rate their performance with this small job on tackling a new, but failing and potentially dangerous glass sliding door, an A+.

We have a mid-century home on a bluff that was getting battered by sideways rain every winter, causing leaks around the windows. Window companies just wanted to sell us windows, but the windows weren't the problem — the sealing around the frames was. We didn't want to replace the originals and compromise the architecture, so we were glad to find SFW, who specialize in exactly this kind of home envelope work. Zach is a "house whisperer" meaning he is tuned into the needs of the situation. He and his crew were great to work with, the process was smooth, and the finished result is exactly what we wanted. The stormy months will be the real test, but we're optimistic the work will hold up and happy we didn't fall into the window replacement trap.

We had some localized siding rot on the back side of our house. SFW identified the extent of damage and handled the complete repair. The crew explained the process clearly and continuously. Everything looks clean and solid and the finished work blended in nicely with the existing siding.

SFW has been helping us with a leak / rot situation left by poor workmanship done by previous owners. The damage spans two levels and both interior and exterior areas and SFW has been able to do nearly all the work from demo to rebuild. Brendon and Tanner have been professional and informative throughout every step. We feel confident the work is being done right and will keep our house dry and structurally sound.

Well we had mushrooms growing in our Laundry room. SFW Construction sent out their workers and they just kept searching for the proble. There was extensive dry rot in the Laundry room and connected bathroom. Arthur and his work mates worked for a month and a half to rectify the problem. They were always on time and Arthur’s explanation of what needed to be done was helpful. Needless to say we are very pleased with job.
