From the beginning, our experience with Capital Construction has been even better than our salesman Matt said it was going to be. Matt came to our home promptly, which I appreciate, and spent the whole afternoon explaining everything about the company and the product we chose, "James Hardy," as well as answering all our questions in language that both my wife and I could understand. Secondly we met Anthony. Anthony was just as accommodating as Matt was. My wife and I both felt very comfortable working with him. Anthony was our project manager. Through out the project he would touch base with us to make sure everything was going well. Towards the end of our project I had a little misunderstanding with him. I thought the project was done and when I walked around and inspected the whole job there were a half dozen things I was not 100% satisfied with. When I contacted Anthony, he was so calm and confident that they could take care of everything that it really put me at ease. The very next day, Anthony and Lucas were at the house early in the morning. After showing them the issues they worked all day to address all of them. During this whole process, Lucas and his partner worked unbelievably hard. They started early and worked late through snow and temps in the 20's. I really have an amazing respect for what they did and how well they did it given the circumstances. All in all, between Matt, Anthony, Lucas and all the friendly women we dealt with over the phone from the office , Capital Construction get sour 100% satisfaction for sure. Thanks for everything!! My wife and I were interested in replacing our old deck with Trex decking to improve the appearance and reduce maintenance. Nick Murphy visited with us at our home and fully answered all of our questions about materials, cost, and time involved to build the deck. Once our contract was signed, the project manager (John Avagianos) became our primary contact, and he was very diligent about making sure we knew what to expect throughout the entire throughout the construction process. The builders went above and beyond in addressing a complication we didn't anticipate. They were professional, polite, and kept the worksite as clean as possible. My wife and I were immensely pleased with the result and will not hesitate to contact Capital again when we have another home improvement project.

They get 2 stars because so far we love our deck. However, that's where the positivity ends. Overall, we chose Capital Construction since we perceived them to be reputable, but several items in hindsight have left me feeling regret for having used them. First, they no-showed our initial meeting for a quote. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and rescheduled that meeting to two days before the end of the month and squeezed us with specials that "expire at the end of the month". The sales rep offered a small discount as a make good for this, so we proceed with the project. The deck, as designed by the sales rep (who claimed to be an expert), was meant to be built as a free-standing deck that would then be lashed to the house. Brian, our expert, said that this would be the way that he would build it if he was building at his own house. This was to include 6 footings. After the old deck was demolished, the subcontractor (oh, I forgot to mention that they used subcontractors for every job but claim that all of their workers are Capital Construction employees. More lies. I specifically asked if they use subs and they said no) dug 5 footings on the outside edge of the deck, which was not to the plan we agreed to. When I pointed this out to the supervisor, he said that he never heard anything about the original plan (deflection). When I reached out to my sales expert to express my concern, he claimed that an engineer had changed the plans (deflection). The truth is that they never sent out an engineer to inspect the job and they never sent me revised job plans. Essentially, since the holes were dug, they refused to build to plan that they originally set out and I basically had to go with their current plan (which again, I never signed off on). They did, however, agree to provide a credit for the extra footing that was not installed. I also watched the Subcontractor supervisor take the box of color match Trex fasteners from the job site after construction was completed. These were materials that I PAID FOR, that he essentially stole. If I wasn't home and confronted him, he would have took the rest of the extra materials too. Again, these are MY materials since I paid for them. He had no right to take the fasteners, let alone anything else. Great work if you're willing to jump through hoops, but buyer beware, they'll take advantage of you and steal your building materials if you let them.

DO NOT USE! UPDATE 5/5/26: Customer service will not respond to my requests about permits on the work completed. They responded to my initial email saying that they would get back to me and have ignored my two follow up emails. It has now been OVER 3 WEEKS without a response about work permits. tl;dr: Not qualified to do tile. Hard sell. Delays in materials. Bad communication. Needed repeated fixes after job. We saw their Jacusshowcase at the Topsfield fair in October 2024. We decided to have them visit our house for an estimate and to see our options. The sales policy is a real hard sell and they want you to commit that day. The sales rep also evaded showing us itemized costs when we made our selection. You need to make all design choices that day and they expect you to do it in an hour or so appointment. We still went forward because we felt it was a good quote and we liked the financing program they had available. Our work was estimated to be done around the end of December 2024. There kept being delays in the shower wall material we ordered. Then when following up with them they said it was ready and we scheduled the work. Then a few days later they said it actually wasn't and it would be a few more weeks. The work was quoted for 2 days but took 4 . Which is understandable since they were doing a full remodel and I do not know how you could possibly do a quality job in 2 days. The work was done in mid February- so 1.5 months after the estimated job date. The shower, toilet, and vanity were mostly installed ok. The shower had the gaskets installed improperly causing the doors to leak (visit #1 after the work to get a fix). However, my main issue is the tile. It appears that the workers who installed the tile were not qualified to do so. Then the person who fixed the leak said they were no qualified so they sent a second person weeks later. The second person said they could grout but couldn't replace tiles. So they had to send a third person a different day. The third person replaced the two tiles that were moving because they were not installed properly however they are noticeably higher than the original tiles. Also, he left a tool outside our home, texted asking to get it, and now it was been over 2 weeks and it is still sitting outside. I have given up on asking this company to fix their work. You shouldn't have to have 4 visits of fixes after work is done. Plus I do not want to have to buy more tile because they keep installing it incorrectly. Also, when I first inquired about the repairs via email they stated I would hear from them and two weeks went by and I had to reach out to them for a response. Photos show uneven final tile, door leaking before fix, and damaged grout from poorly installed tiles before replacement. Go with someone else unless you want a giant headache and the runaround... especially go with someone else if you are wanting your floor tiled.

I am beyond impressed and so happy with the work Capital Construction did on my home. The first person I met was Paul. The patience and time he took to show me what kind of work Capital Construction does and what they can provide for me with re-siding my home made me feel 100% confident in choosing them for the job and I am so glad I did! Jay was amazing! He went above and beyond! He was always available, knowledgeable, communicative, and overall, a genuinely nice guy! He is very trustworthy and took the time to explain the process and steps on the renovations on my home! Eduardo and his team are incredibly talented! The work they did on my house is beyond amazing! They are very skilled at what they do and were very meticulous throughout the project! I cannot express how grateful I am for the entire Capital Construction team! I highly recommend this company! If you are looking to renovate and do some re-siding on your home, do not waste your time looking anywhere else! Trust me! This is as good as it gets!
