Crawl Space Encapsulation due to dampness/standing water in our crawl space. ************************************************************ Updated review of Wednesday, December 10, 2025 - Erie Home changed out the air handler system with one that is WiFi enabled. This monitors the working of the unit and gives the Humidity and Temperature in the crawl space now. - Erie Home added the WiFi monitor for the Sump Pump. The system will now notify me if the unit is not working properly and if the water level goes above a Max point. - Both app setups were easy and straight forward. ************************************************************ Updated review of Thursday, November 20, 2025 – Per further discussions with Erie and corrective actions I am changing my rating to “3” and adding the following comment. Erie is adding stated systems to monitor the air handler and sump pump systems. Once this has been completed – tentatively on 20251126, I will make final comments. ************************************************************* ORIGINAL GOOGLE REVIEW: Communications were very poor during the entire process with Erie Home. I had to call multiple times to see what the plan/process was. Certain questions were skipped over and assigned to different people. What I can gather, the Columbus office took on the job but had no staff to complete, so the Cincinnati office got the “installation” job, but that is all they were responsible for. The Columbus office did not pick up all of the items that were stated in the sales process and now there is no way I can be “satisfied” in how this process occurred. Sales contract stated to be complete by end of September 2025, but was completed on November 10th 2025. Process/down payment started on August 6th, 2025. Pro's - The installation itself went smooth once it started. Workers kept areas clean and picked up their items each end of days work. Professional interactions. Electrical contractor hired by Erie to supply electric to their sump pumps and air handler systems was good but was completed after Erie work was done. Con's - Poor communications except by installation team - they went over each day's work with me. No planning was made until the installation started itself. Some items that were indicated to happen with sales team were not how the actual installation went; a) there is no wireless/Bluetooth monitoring of systems installed. b) discharge of water was not put in an existing pump discharge pipe due their warranty. Warranty - READ Warranty and understand what the warranty says. Sales team indicated all problems were warrantied for 25 years. But not replacement batteries for systems, "manufacturing warranty" in effect (1 year), $125 fee for each warranty call, etc. Due to the high cost of this 2000 sq foot crawl space encapsulation, I would have thought the communications, employee leadership, and warranty would be better. Just read everything before signing/monies and have all written in the contract itself. 1st photo shows the crew arriving on 3rd day of install. Notice that materials used are stacked neatly and driveway is clear.

The work the Erie team performed was very good. They kept me updated as they made progress, and the finished basement area looks good. Some finishing items could be better. They cleaned up afterward but a film still remained - which is understandable due to the amount of cement dust. The sump pump outlets needed additional silicone caulk to fill the holes to the outside. The sales team needs to be closer in sync with the finished product. Was also concerned that their quote was pen/ink on blank paper - would have preferred a formal quote. All of these are really minor compared to the work they performed.

What a relief. Sitting here relaxed and comfortable as it rains, knowing that my basement is dry. What a blessing. Erie Home Basement Solutions water proofed my basement. If your struggling with a wet smelly and musty basement, call Erie Home. I did and now I don't feel panicked when I see rain in the forecast. The crew was friendly and they worked hard. Also, Gary kept me informed each step along the journey. Thank you Erie Home for granting me peace of mind.

We are so excited to have our basement waterproofed now after a couple issues that held us back from finishing and enjoying our extra space. The crew came in and did a fantastic job and thoroughly explained each phase of the process in great detail. We can move forward with confidence in a greater future enjoyment of our basement with peace knowing it is also backed with warranty.
