Jeff and the team at Home Makeover are simply the best you could ask for. Our home had decades-old vinyl siding that was poorly installed over the original cedar plank and a loosely attached layer of styrofoam insulation, and also had been painted prior to us buying it. The result was a poorly insulated home whose siding was warping and falling off. The window flashings were purely superficial and featured huge gaps and no treatment underneath. And several cosmetic shutters, secured with a lone drywall screw many years ago, had flown off during various rain/snowstorms over the last year or two. Jeff came out to survey things, and he talked to me for a solid hour about all our concerns and what we were looking for. He explained his approach thoroughly, listened patiently, and offered a variety of options both in terms of materials and scheduling. He even offered to work in stages if that was better for our budget. We chose to go with shake-style siding for the front and horizontal for the other three sides. We also had his team remove the underlying layers of styrofoam and cedar, down to the plywood, and build the insulation layers back up from there. After our original conversation, and because the price quoted was well within our budget, I asked Jeff if we could also replace the ugly white gutters with an aged copper, and he was happy to oblige. Luis and his crew were consummate professionals for the two weeks they were on site. They were thorough, efficient, and remarkably adept at working within the confines of a property that is quite small and could be hard to maneuver around with materials and a dumpster also on the property. But each day we were amazed to see how quickly and how well the project was coming along, and at the end of each day the crew cleaned things up so that we (and our dog) could walk around the yard and the house without fear of stepping on discarded nails or bits of removed roof shingles overnight. They were such an extraordinary group that several of our neighbors made a point of telling us, "We saw the crew working on your house. They're great!" Additionally, the crew identified that the original window framing from the 1920s featured giant gaps that had never been properly filled or insulated, which explained a lot about the draftiness of the house. The used a combination of foam and 2x4s to shore up the frames, and the difference is remarkable. And I can't speak highly enough of the project manager, Cristhian, who was amazing. He made sure to check in on the project and with us daily, first in the morning and then again at the end of the day. And he was a great communicator when the demo revealed underlying issues like the windows (thankfully there were not many beyond that), listening my concerns and explaining the options for tweaking certain aspects of the project on the fly. When the crew was done, he spent a couple hours on site to do a walkaround with us and personally oversee the final touch-ups. From start to finish, this was the kind of experience you hope to have as a homeowner, but almost never do. We're so grateful to have learned about Jeff and his team, and they will definitely be the first call we make in the event of future siding projects.

I recently had my deck replaced by HomeMakeover, and I am extremely impressed with their professionalism. Jeff visited our home to thoroughly understand our requirements, explained their process in great detail, and provided us with a reasonable quote. Unlike other home improvement companies, he did not engage in pushy marketing tactics or attempt to sell additional services. Project manager Ryan soon contacted us, and despite facing multiple instances of rainy and cold weather, the team completed the work in a timely manner. We are highly satisfied with the quality and finish of the project. Based on our suggestions, Jeff designed our stairs with an angle to give grand look to the deck, and when connectors were unavailable, they custom-made them on-site with an excellent look and feel. After completing the work, they cleaned the site professionally and performed additional tasks, such as covering concrete, without any extra charges. Overall, I highly recommend HomeMakeover for any home improvement projects.

Home Makeover LLC just finished a roof replacement for my home. Can't say enough good things about the company. While many of the companies who came to bid on the project were caricatures of used car salesmen, Jeff made the process simple and straightforward. Bid was very fair, timelines were laid out and adhered to, the contract was clear and the Home Makeover crew followed through on all specified details of the contract. The crew were fantastic; timely, neat, and took special care to protect the perennial beds that wrap around two sides of my house. Couldn't be happier with the outcome. Home Makeover is everything I would hope to find in a contractor. I have a few more jobs that need to be done & the results of this process makes my choice of contractor simple.

I can’t say enough about Jeff Nero and his team at Home Makeover. They transformed our home by replacing every piece of trim with Azek, and the care they took was next level. They didn’t just stick to the timeline and budget, they made each day feel like we were in good hands. We have two young kids, a dog, and even had family visiting during the project, and somehow the entire process felt seamless. It never disrupted our day to day, which honestly made a big difference for us. The crew was not only skilled, but genuinely kind and respectful of our space. They left everything spotless at the end of each day, which really stood out. Huge credit to Luis (Production Coordinator), Cristhian (Project Manager), Luis (Crew Chief), and Franklin and Geovany on the install team. All of them were fantastic and took real pride in their work. You guys are the best around. This wasn’t just a job done well, it was a team that truly cared about doing it right. We had a great experience with Home Makeover LLC on our outdoor deck remodel and ledger board replacement. We contacted Jeff Nero about a ground-level window leak and cracked ledger board, and he quickly identified the damaged ledger as having missing or faulty flashing as the cause of the window leak and clearly explained the safety concerns. Jeff provided three clear proposal options and communicated professionally throughout the project. Our project manager, Ryan, kept us informed at every step, and the construction team led by Louis delivered an outstanding job. The three-day project site was left spotless each day. The new composite deck looks fantastic, the ledger board replacement resolved the safety issue, and as important the window leak has been fixed. Home Makeover delivered exactly what was promised.
