Approx 10/15/25 Home exteriors- Columbus sold a product for a low slope roof and tore off and replaced my parents roof. By 3/23/26 we were reporting major leaks. It took a tremendous amount of time and effort to get them to respond to us and take action. 6/5/26 they had to come out and completely tear off the new roofing product as it was not installed following the Owens Corning Instructions at All! Upon the product being torn off, 3 major holes where exposed that the first Home Genius Columbus crew just rolled the new product over. When they did come out to replace the first new roof that they put on, we realized when the top cap sheet was pulled up to the roof that they weren't even installing the BRAND or COLOR that was chosen and paid for in the signed contract. The second team that came out was led by Mike Moore the repair manager, Roberto , Jeremy and then Martin showed up.Mike Moore made sure every step of the installed followed the instructions for a low slope product. If you use this company for basic items they may be fine. We can only vouch for the final team that came out to do the work and the thoroughness and workmanship lwhich they followed completely tearing off,, repairing and installing the new roof the second time. The company communication, follow through and attention to details is severely lacking in the Columbus Office. The fact that someone could have gone through open holes the first team left when they removed vents and just rolled new product over shows lack of training, supervision and/or use of qualified roofers. The first low slope roof product was lifting from the roof in less than 6 months,along with seams not being sealed and overlaps being done incorrectly and the product not being rolled. To have/hire untrained and unknowledgeable workers to send to peoples home on a product that you sell people shows a company with poor ethical standards.

I will say I had a very, very good experience. First, the consultation with Ralph was excellent, how he explained in detail. Then when the team came in with the roof, they were on time. They got here at 7 a.m., and they finished at 3, clean up and everything. Project manager Nick did an awesome job getting the team together, also Jose. So in my experience, and I would recommend them to anyone, I will definitely give them the absolutely okay. Very good. They did a really excellent job. I will be contacting them very soon. Good team, good company, they work well together, and that is it.

Had them do a roofing,gutters/downspouts and trim project for us. Everything about this experience was 10 out of 10. Original consultant,Ralph,great,friendly and super professional. Listened to OUR needs instead of what he wanted to sell us,as far too many reps do. Once the project was a go,it was a matter of days before it was begun and completed and it looks INCREDIBLE. The onsite project managers,Leah for the roof and Nick for the gutters and trim,were also great. Answered all questions,explained process where needed and again,super friendly,knowledgeable and professional. The crews were excellent. Worked fast but with great care to detail and both projects came out beyond my highest expectations. Cannot recommend this company more highly.

Had new roof installed. Hotest days so far . 100 degree weather. Was very impressed with how they handled financing and how quick the service was. We met on a Thursday and the next Tuesday they was on the job. Very friendly guys considering the weather . Jason came out to take a final look and to answer any questions we had . Going to have them do more jobs down the road on my home again . Highly recommend. Thank you

We recently completed a full exterior roofing system replacement with Home Genius Exteriors (HGE), and we couldn't be more satisfied with the results. Our project was extensive—including a new roof, gutters, downspouts, skylight installation, and an upgrade to aluminum soffits. Before selecting HGE, we interviewed several well-known roofing companies in the DMV area, but Kevin Paul (Sales) truly set them apart. He spent nearly an hour conducting a thorough inspection with detailed photos, explaining the entire system layer by layer—from materials and ventilation to waterproofing and timelines. This level of transparency gave us the confidence to move forward, especially given their competitive pricing and flexible 12-month financing options. The installation process was impressively organized. Our Project Manager, Drew, provided access to a live project tracking portal so we could monitor progress in real-time. The entire job took just three days, and the crew was professional and diligent about daily cleanup—something we particularly appreciated was their attention to nail management and debris control. What really impressed us, however, was the post-installation support. When we noticed a minor exposed nail on the visible roof section above our bay window, I sent photos to Drew. He responded almost immediately and had the issue resolved the very next day. Later, when we had a concern about a downspout, Jordan (Warranty Claims Inspector) came out to perform a comprehensive inspection. He was honest and thorough, confirming the system was functioning perfectly and that the issue was simply temporary ice buildup rather than an installation defect. Since completion, the system has already been "battle-tested" by extreme weather. Shortly after the install, we experienced a heavy rainstorm followed by the most severe snowstorm the DMV has seen in five years. The roof performed flawlessly—no leaks, even snow melt, improved insulation, and the drainage system handled the load with ease. Overall, HGE demonstrated professionalism, responsiveness, and solid workmanship. We are very happy with our decision and this investment in our home.
