Patriot Roofing has been fantastic from Quote to Finish. We did a full roof replacement and siding for home and detached garage. I chose them because they were locally owned, had good reviews and did both roofing and siding. They were quick to call, follow up and prepared a full detailed quote based on our actual home (which I appreciated because my house was a 1920s vinyl sided mess). Expectations were clearly outlined with work included, timelines and what to expect during, after and long term with the warranty. In total we did: Roofing demo and Replacement Siding demo and Replacement Added ventilation in roof Added Solar tube Replace Skylight Things I appreciated as a homeowner: 1. VERY Clear communication on unexpected surprises (we found rot, lots of rot) with photos and estimated change order costs. 2. Workers onsite were friendly and very conscious about how they left the site at the end of the day. (My 70 year old mom was home alone most days and felt safe having them there) 3. Workers always shut the gate when they left and put up possibly dangerous item so our dogs were safe. 4. They had a electrician referral ready for when our roofing project sidestepped into finding out we needed a whole house rewire. (Original Knob and tube was NOT gone as we thought) 5. Craftsmanship quality is fantastic. My husband even approves dnd he used to do siding. Just all the little details, calking properly done and trim cut to fit some of our peculiar home details. 6. Clean up! Oh my goodness I have found one or two nails but they did their best to make sure it was looking spotless. I have seen many construction sites and I was expecting a bit more if a mess leftover. Overall Patriot made it as painless as possible for my family. It looks fantastic and I would 100% hire them again if ever needed.

We recently had an outstanding experience with Patriot Roofing and could not be more impressed with the level of professionalism, urgency, and quality they provided from start to finish. After discovering a leak inside our home, Patriot Roofing responded incredibly fast to inspect the issue. What initially seemed like a small problem quickly turned out to be a roof that was far beyond repair. Instead of delaying or cutting corners, their team immediately made a temporary repair to protect our home and quickly scheduled a full roof replacement. The entire process was smooth, transparent, and professionally handled. The pricing was fair, the communication was excellent, and the quality of workmanship was truly exceptional. Every part of the project reflected pride in their work and genuine care for their customers. A huge thank you and special recognition goes to: Levi Cave – Levi responded quickly after we noticed the leak, thoroughly inspected the roof, and created a detailed and accurate repair plan and estimate. He was knowledgeable, honest, and extremely easy to work with. Jose Solorio – Jose led his crew with the utmost professionalism. The team showed up on time, worked efficiently, kept everything organized, and delivered the highest-quality finished product we could have hoped for. From beginning to end, the Patriot roofing team was top-notch. When they came out to do the initial inspection, instead of handing me a piece of paper with the quote, they scheduled another appointment to go over in detail what they were going to do and had visual product examples. They spent the time to explain the air flow for the attic and what was needed for proper air flow. Once I called them and made a small down payment to ensure my commitment, the communication was excellent. They called and walked me through what to expect, who was going to come out, and when. The team fixed my roof in two days. They tore off my roof and fixed some issues with the plywood and the rafters and sealed the roof in water water-tight. The next day, they showed up on time and started the installation of the roof. The cleanup was impeccable. A week later, I was contacted for my gutter replacement and when they would be on site for the install. That team was in and out so fast, and the gutters look great along with the new roof. Here is what it looks like now and what they had to do before the new roof. I feel they went above and beyond to protect my house. If you are looking to get a new roof, I strongly recommend Patriot Roofing.

"I am are very pleased with the finished work. It looks very nice. I worked in the manufacturing engineering field for 40 years and naturally notice detail and quality. It is very evident that Patriot pays attention to the quality of the work. Patriot also cleaned the attic and blew in insulation. The house is old and still has the original lathe and plaster walls and ceilings. I mentioned that i was concerned about this. Being aware of the ceiling structure they made a planned effort to not disturb the ceiling ,explaining what they did to avoid damage. Not a crack or any sign of disturbance at all. They kept me informed of decay, water damage, etc .and made the repairs at a reasonable cost. After the work was complete, I found a few small details that I asked to be addressed and they were on the spot within a a couple of days to take care of it. Even after they received the final payment. From my experience, Patriot has been forthright and honest. I would recommend Patriot with no hesitation."

They made sure my yard was maintained and nothing was damaged by throwing things off the roof. Any questions we had were answered right away. They pointed things out and explained it to us. I felt like I was in good hands. They weren't the cleanest when they left. They did do a pickup, just not what I thought it would be. The people that did the inspection and went over things with us were on the spot. Any issues were immediately addressed and taken care of. The quality of the new roof is excellent. My home was sorely neglected, in need of extensive repair including an entire roof rebuild; gutter installation; new chimney cladding; roof ventilation upgrade; entire exterior siding replacement of one side of my home and two other areas repaired; and some framing replacement of damaged pieces. I now have a solid roof over my head, and since completion we've had several winter storms - I slept like a baby knowing that my new roof, gutters and siding are performing perfectly. I no longer carry daily stress over a home in dire need of repair. Patriot respected me and my money, and they provided top quality materials and workmanship - making every dollar count. Their estimator, Kraig, was instrumental in helping me select appropriate materials within my budget and he effectively surveyed areas of concern. I had initially contacted Patriot 3 years ago, but only recently was able to proceed with work; my original client binder was still on file, saving everyone time and helping things advance quickly."

Three Roofing options were provided. The crews worked quickly and carefully, answering all my questions. The General Manager, Michael Talpai, came to my home after the work was completed. He reviewed with me the work that had been finished and showed me pictures of the work at each stage of completion. Michael genuinely cared about my satisfaction with the work that was provided. He also gave me good information on solar panels that I was considering in the future. Michael let me know that Patriot Roofing did not provide this service but he was willing to take the time to give me a good understanding of thing I should consider. "This was our first experience in hiring roofers; it was a complete replacement on a fairly large mid-century home. We did our homework before starting the process, and received 3 bids for comparable Certainteed roofing systems. Our sales representative from Patriot spent significantly more time inspecting the roof than the others (and went in the attic which the others did not), then almost an hour on a zoom meeting explaining everything and answering our questions. It never once felt like a sales pitch. Patriot was initially the highest bidder, but they negotiated a price match with our middle bid once we established that it was an apples-to-apples bid. A break in the weather allowed Patriot to get started about 10 days early, They were fast and efficient but also extremely neat and tidy. I was expecting to find scraps of roofing material or nails around the yard but have yet to encounter any evidence they were here besides our beautiful new roof. Every new team leader that was at the house introduced themselves and gave us their business card in case we had any issues. One of the company's owners came by for a final meeting to see the work, collect payment and seek our feedback. Patriot's whole customer service culture is outstanding!"

"Cleanliness: The crew cleaned up every day and while we were impressed with how much they cleaned up, each day we found nails left in the alley. At the end of the job we kept finding nails in our yard, so we bought and used a magnet and ended up finding handfuls of nails around the property. We also spent an hour picking up tiny bits of roof debris and packaging garbage and found some packaging material that had blown down the alley. Communication: They didn't show up on the day they were scheduled and there was no communication as to why. After waiting until mid-day, we called and asked where they were. They rescheduled and specifically told us they would let us know if they needed to reschedule again. They didn't show up again on the new scheduled date and again there was no communication as to why. Again, we had to call and ask why they weren't there. Whoever did the scheduling also didn't communicate with the material delivery crew, who showed up to our place on both of the originally scheduled dates to deliver supplies and then had to leave because the roofing crew was not there. Also during the project, some of the siding on our cottage was replaced. It was not part of the original scope of work and while we were ultimately glad it was done because it did need it, no one told us they were going to do that. We had planned on having all of the siding replaced by a different company at a later time. Getting charged for work we didn't request was not very cool. Also, I had called Keith and left a voicemail asking about what types of gutter styles they would install, because we realized that wasn't discussed during the initial estimate. I never heard back, and found out on gutter installation day that Patriot Roofing only does one style (5k). This was a disappointment because we liked the architectural shape of our previous gutters/downspouts and didn't like or want the look of 5k gutters. Lastly, I will take some credit for not asking the right question during the initial estimate. I had asked if Patriot Roofing does work on historic homes regularly, to which the answer was yes. What I should have asked, and what the original intent of my question was, was if they were familiar/comfortable with replacing trim (fascia boards and cornice returns) so that it matched the house historically. We have a 106 year old house and care about historic preservation. When it came time for the fascia replacements, we were told that the trim boards like the ones we had no longer exist and that they couldn't match the style our house had. This was a huge letdown. The new fascia boards look ok, but modern. While we did approve it, we also felt like we had no choice but to accept the best they could do at that point. Quality of Materials: Only complaint here was that a lot of the fascia boards they put up had holes from knots and it looked a bit ugly. We filled in holes with caulking. Quality of Workmanship: Initially we thought things were fine, but now that we've had time to live with the work done, we're noticing issues. One area of flashing doesn't line up (there is an inch gap from one fascia board to another). The soffit boards that were replaced in one corner are not level and sag down in a jagged fashion, and that same corner has fascia boards that are crooked. There were also several places that needed caulking (where the replaced fascia boards met up with the stucco siding) but were left un-caulked. Professionalism and Organization: We were provided with a roofing proposal binder which stated what was talked about during the initial estimate, all work to be done and how it would be done, and included an area for the requests we had made as well. We thought that was very professional. However, our requests were apparently not shared with the crew. A couple of our requests were for an old porch overhang to be torn down and for an old (unused) furnace vent pipe to be removed. During one of the construction days, we asked the crew when they were planning on tearing down the porch overhang since the back entrance to the house was under it. We had a couple other contractors scheduled that week and they needed use of that entrance. The crew was surprised we wanted the overhang torn down and it was apparently the first time they had heard about that. Then we noticed the furnace vent pipe was still up and found out that they had already replaced the decking around the old pipe. When we told them that the pipe was supposed to be removed, they had re-do their work. During the initial estimate we were also told that the roofing materials would be loaded onto the roof via a truck mounted conveyor from the street in front of our house. When delivery occurred, the crew came down the alley behind our house and wanted to deliver the materials to the roof that way. We pointed out the communication and power lines and they realized they could not deliver from the alley. When we asked why they weren't delivering from the front street as planned, they let us know they didn't get a permit to block traffic so they couldn't do that. We had to play middle man in communicating with the supply crew and the main office in both delivery timing and supply placement. In the end the roofing crew had to hand carry everything on site and hand carry all materials to the roof. Scheduling: In addition to not showing up on scheduled dates, they also said it would take 2-3 days for all the work to be done but it took 7 Value: Someone asked us why Patriot Roofing didn't install metal valley flashing and mentioned it was a pretty standard thing nowadays. We didn't know what that was and had to look it up, and we weren't told about it during the initial estimate. It seems to be something that would make the roof last much longer, help with ice melt and move tree debris down the roof so that the debris doesn't sit and cause water buildup etc. There are a couple trees that regularly drop debris on the valley side of our roof (neighbor's trees). Now we're disappointed that it was never suggested to us, and disappointed we paid a lot for a roof that is apparently not going to last as long. In talking with several friends/family members that had their roofs replaced recently, it seems we paid significantly more than they did. I know not every project is the same and our house had a few extra issues that our friend's/family's houses did not. Overall, the cost of the project ended up being much higher than we thought it would be. On a positive note, Patriot Roofing upgraded our shingle selection to architectural shingles for free. But, we were told that one side of our guest cottage roofing would receive the upgraded architectural shingles while the other side wasn't sloped enough so it would receive 3-tab shingles. In the end the entire cottage received 3-tab shingles. One area that still bothers me is the charge we received for the soffit work. The crew appeared to be packing up to leave, so we asked about the hole in the soffit that hadn't been fixed yet (from removing the furnace vent pipe). It seemed like they had forgotten about it. They then went over and fixed the soffit area (although see my comment about the completed work being un-level). In total, 5 beadboard sized boards were replaced. We were charged for 8 man hours when they were only there for 2 hours (x2 crew members, so 4 man hours total). When we questioned that, we were told that the crew actually spent more time doing soffit work around the house that they didn't charge for so we were actually getting a discount. My question is: where? No other soffit boards were replaced anywhere around the house and the invoice clearly states that the charge was for replacement. $680 for 5 small boards seems excessive."

"As a 3-time customer in 2019, I highly recommend Patriot Roofing. Though I hope (and don't expect) to ever need another roof replacement, I would definitely choose them for future roof projects, without a hesitation.Patriot Roofing was the only company whose estimator actually got into the attic to investigate as much of the roof as possible in order to estimate the extent of the roof damage. Estimators for some of the other companies didn't even get on the roof, and the majority of them never looked in the attic. Unlike the other companies, the Patriot estimator also went through the trouble of predicting how much plywood (roof deck) would need to be replaced and thus avoid sticker shock at the time of the project, when water damage would be more readily discovered. Granted, this resulted in a higher estimate compared to the other companies, but I felt more confident going with a company that went through the trouble of giving me realistic expectations about the cost and duration of the replacement project. Furthermore, I chose the company that actually cared about addressing the underlying reasons why my roof failed rather than simply tearing off and replacing the roof. Patriot Roofing's attention to correcting the ventilation problems should be the industry standard. Though it may result in a more expensive project, it is a critical step in order to maintain the integrity of the CertainTeed shingle warranty. The estimator showed me the exact calculations that went into his proposal for increasing ventilation to the attic, a step that none of the other estimators even discussed. Why is that so important? The warranty explicitly says that inadequate ventilation voids the warranty. Communication between estimator, project supervisor, and roofing team was excellent, and scheduling the project was a breeze. The team of workers was friendly and polite, and they were very accommodating of unique circumstances. 3 roofs later, I am very pleased that I had chosen Patriot Roofing, and I continue to strongly recommend them."

Last winter there was some exceptionally heavy rain and the small leak turned into a torrent. I came to the conclusion that I would need a new roof, so I called Patriot Roofing to see if they could make a temporary repair until after the rainy season. The first hint that I made the right call was when they came out immediately to assess the situation. After they inspected the roof they then told me they could install the new roof even during the winter, and they would just need two days of dry weather, so a temporary fix would be an unnecessary expense and delay. After they described all my options it was a no brainer for me to ask them to go ahead, and they came out at the next dry spell and removed the old roof and replaced with a new roof."

"In March 2018 I had a complete re-shingle with extensive board replacement where the OSB had turned to mush. In short I am very impressed with their performance and the product I received and I recommend Patriot Roofing.There are many positives that I experienced with Patriot Roofing:They performed a detailed inspection for the bid. The only contractor to enter the attic. Keith the estimator was on-time every time, knowledgeable, and thorough.Safety was a big concern for me since my roof is very high off the ground. Patriot rewards their workers for following safety rules. The workers were strapped in every time I checked. The anchors remain for my use as well which makes me very happy.There was more OSB rot than anticipated. They provided photo documentation of all the work and the need to replace extra boards. The final package is very well presented with photos and can be kept as part of the house maintenance record.The warrant is 50 years and transferable.Their crew was on time, considerate, and worked professionally the entire time. They cleaned up well each day. I did find some nails after they finished. I told Patriot and they immediately sent a guy out to sweep again for nails. He even went on the roof and rechecked the gutters. I could have told him not to though because I checked the gutters when they were finished and they were spotless.Had a little mishap where a tool was dropped and unfortunately poked a hole in the ceiling dry wall. Probably a 2”x2” hole. They took pictures and reported it and sent a guy out to fix it. You can’t even tell that it happened.They communicated well before, during, and after the event. They started work a month early. There were in-process inspections and a post work inspection. They took care of the permit and the county inspection. They added more ventilation. Poor ventilation was why I had OSB rot. We added extra vent at the eves. I provided a can of paint and they painted the new vent boards at the shop before they arrived. The roof is beautiful. It is now the nicest looking part of my house. I think I need to paint next."

"We have an issue with our Vent on the outside of our house, from the fireplace. The Vent has been squished or compressed with damage. I didn't notice it until we were getting ready to paint our house. I don't remember seeing that before the roofing job. It was the only disapointment we had. Not sure how or when it happened."

"Pros: Extremely hard working crews who are professional and do great work. Estimator goes above and beyond what other estimators from other roofing companies to do make sure you fully understand what you're getting with your roof. Cons: Office staff needs to work on their communication with customers. Was told I was getting roof and gutters done over the course of three days, and come to find out the roof is getting done today and the gutters will be next week. So I had a whole week of no gutters on my house during one of the rainiest weeks we had in 2017."
