“PowerHome had to engage in the Sale of my windows & negotiations with Me TWICE (different home visits) to reduce quote price by more more than $10k on 2 different products, as did Similar companies with similar products. Which means ALL were willing to price gouge the homeowner until i received a "bottom line" quote... and even Then, the quote was still excessive and the experience "Shady" (opinion)... and left me with a sour taste on the industry as a whole. So from a former door to door salesperson to another >>> shame shame.... My experience is largely based on a personal opinion of the "home Window" industry as a whole. Windows, from ALL window companies in my experience, are UNNECESSARILY expensive and Do Not raise the value of a home "consistent with" neither the reSale value Nor the savings on electricity or efficiency of the home. THEREFORE, I am Indifferent and would likely WARN ALL potential buyers in my path to be warey of this industry. MOREOVER, I discovered the installed product to be of marginal workmanship. Functionality and performance remain to be seen. Even worse yet, i doubt these survey comments”

“Due to an awful first encounter with a cold door to door sales rep, we were reluctant to choose this company when the need came. However, we decided to take the chance again and scheduled an in home consult. Mario was very courteous and able to reassure us the process would be seamless and worry free experience. While he had the best intentions, the project and process itself proved to be a bit troublesome. We had a timeline that Power agreed upon. We were notified of a setback 2 days prior to the install date, which made it a little difficult to reschedule our work days to be available for a new install date. Work crew showed up late past the appointment time after multiple calls to confirm it was still happening. Windows were installed, yet there was miscommunication regarding the details of our project. It was missed in the contract that we were replacing the window sills as well. A quoted 4-6 hour project turned into 8+ hour day which yielded an incomplete project. We had to flex our work schedule again for the window sills to be replaced. Details were still unclear to the work crew as they only replaced part of the window sill until we informed it would be the both window stool/apron which was signed on and verbally confirmed by 2 people. Once completed, we inspected the work and found broken glass outside which was missed during clean up. Overall while quality assurance acknowledged the process/experience should’ve gone better, the quality of work and product offsets the project scheduling process and interactions with the work crew.”

“The quality of what we had done is wonderful and it looks great. Communication with the company was terrible. We weren't able to speak to the same person twice. Communication between the people working on the house and the company seemed bad also (paperwork stated one thing, they would do something else; one person would correct a problem, someone else would show up to fix it). Clean up after each project was fairly good, but we're still picking up nails, screws and small pieces of siding and trim out of our lawn and shrubs. A piece of wood that should have been taken is still here after a week.”

“I went with Power because I viewed my neighbor's home. I even went inside and liked what I saw. When they installed my windows, the caulking on the outside was real shabby. It looks like my grandchild did it. It is not a very good job. The caulking is not really the same color as the trim and doesn't blend in seamlessly as it should have. I didn't like it. I am not satisfied with it. It is not neat; it is very tacky. They came out and looked at it. Of course, they say it is a very good job because they did it, but I wasn't satisfied at all.”

“Pros Windows look nice and after three weeks don’t appear to have any issues. We haven’t had a good rain yet to verify if anything leaks. Cons They use high pressure sales tactics which is insulting. Quoting a $9K lower price for the work if we sign that day is ridiculous. During the install they sent a “quality” person to the house, but in reality he was just another sales guy who pitched us more work (gutters and doors). I told the sales guy I wanted the rotting wood trim around the windows redone. He only put one window in the quote. Now I have a nice window with rotting wood around it. Is this really quality work? They don’t do painting so the trim they did replace I had to go up and paint - why not do the complete job? There is damage to some of the drywall. They made us sign a waiver acknowledging this could happen and now we have to get that fixed, which also likely means repainting at least two rooms. I can’t say it this should have been avoidable or not.”
