“I've held off with reviewing Power Home Remodeling until the "new" wore off their window installation. My house was built in 1983; the windows were well past their prime. The seals have long broken and the glass was foggy. The salesman spoke of all the benefits of new windows. Less drafty, better operations, quieter. Honestly, I chalked that all up to salesman bullshit. My baseline requirement was clear glass I could see out of it. On the day of installation, the crew showed up. Very quickly it became evident this crew knew what they were doing. Tarps were laid out both in the inside and outside of my home, windows staged in the various rooms. Several workers removed the existing windows. Very choreographed. Very efficient. Very impressed. As the windows were replaced, crew members removed the trash. Once the work was complete, tarps were picked up, rooms were swept. No noticeable trash was left. Honestly, with the exception of the new windows, couldn't tell any work was done. The next day the QA worker came by. He individually inspected and tested each window. There was one window that was not up to par (too hard to open). A specialist showed up a couple of days and made the appropriate adjustment. To recap, I can see through all the windows. And, yes, it's true, these windows muffle the traffic noise from George W. Bush expressway. Hard to judge the impact on my electric bill as it's winter. What I can say is the rooms seem to less drafty and the temperature among the rooms in the house seems even. Highly recommend.”

“The overall experience as a whole was good. Speaking with the same person each time you contacted Power Home would provide consistency with the information. I understand a national company makes that a bit problematic but having one contact person would be beneficial. My main objection was there was no itemized listing of the cost. There was an itemized listing of each window and its respective measurement and type; BUT no itemized cost per window. That was almost a deal breaker. Everything was a grand total. When making this size of an investment the consumer wants the cost broken down. When buying a house or a car you receive an itemized breakdown of each cost. One could wonder what are you trying to hide by not showing the itemized cost. Each time I had a question about a specific window cost, they would consult their laptop/iPad and come up with another Grand Total in place of the specific question I was asking. Having an itemized estimate would allow me the homeowner to make a more informed decision.”

“I would recommend Power Home Remodeling. I have dealt with a lot of different contractors, and there are things that come up with dealing with them. I had questions come up that I still wrestle with. They come in and do a good explanation of what their windows do, and then they bring in an experienced team and work quickly and efficiently. There are some little things that are never brought up, for instance, the windows come in and are in tact, and I have blinds, but I guess they do not have people that do blinds, which might have influenced my decision to go with them. They did do a good job and the installers were an experienced crew. One of the windows they did measurements for, and it had to be adjusted after the rest of the windows were installed. It went from a sliding window to an awning type window to make sure it was sealed correctly on the outside, but it was not something I thought about before, and it does fill the need. I guess there is a minimum size of window that they offer, and they cannot produce all sizes of windows, so they had to switch to another choice.”
