I hired Foster Remodeling to finish my concrete basement because of their High quality rating, and that's exactly what I got. The workers were friendly and professional. When questions arose the lead man came to me to discuss exactly what I was looking for. I would recommend Foster to anyone wanting to get a a professional job done

Foster Remodeling provided outstanding service. They made a lot of promises and not only kept them but exceeded in many cases. The results are absolutely stunning and totally functional. We will use them again next year for another renovation project.

Foster Remodeling’s seminar on renovating was informative and showcased a range of completed projects, but we found the before-and-after photos dated in design, finishes, and functionality—far from the premier quality we expected based on online presence. After meeting with a design specialist and waiting 4-6 weeks for a virtual rendering and floorplan, the proposed design felt bare minimum, outdated, and lacked creativity. Worst of all, the quoted estimate was almost triple our stated budget, largely due to high overhead as a design-build firm. While the company offers detailed process overviews, longstanding experience, references at the onset, and a good warranty program, we found the design quality, speed, and pricing disappointing overall. Attend their seminars for educational value, but if you value cutting-edge design, this firm may not be the right fit.

An exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment we met with Cara (our designer), through the design process, through the build process with our lead carpenter Jim, we were treated with compassion, respect, and kindness all around. Our new kitchen and bathroom is world class and we couldn't be happier (so happy, in fact, we've contracted for a 2nd project with Foster to begin this spring EDIT (12/11/2025): Which turned out as wonderful as the first). I would encourage you to meet with Foster if you're considering any type of home remodel in the greater NOVA area - small or large scale. Having worked with multiple contractors (and not having the experience we had with Foster) I am fully aware - now - of how important a respected, trusted, and dependable partner is. Foster exceeded every expectation we had - and then some.

Fosters made everything easy from design to execution. Our kitchen is beautiful and construction ended on time and on budget. Our designer Cara put together an even better floor plan and design than I had in my head. Our lead carpenter Chris was very communicative and answered any questions or concerns right away.
