The organization analyzes reviews from the past three years to establish ratings using either a company's Google Business Profile or internal surveying methods.

Rating Standards

Every company must achieve at least an 80% score or 4.0 rating from the last three years of their customer reviews.

Review Quota Requirements

First-year qualification: Companies need 25+ reviews for their first category and 10 additional reviews per extra category.

Example: A new company in 3 categories requires 45+ Google reviews from the past three years.

Annual renewal qualification: Companies need 15+ reviews for the first category and 10 additional reviews per extra category.

Example: A renewing company in 3 categories requires 35+ Google reviews from the past three years.

Qualification Scenario Example

Insurance Requirements

All companies must maintain General Liability insurance, with Workers' Compensation required where state law mandates it.

Companies provide Certificate of Insurance during onboarding and must supply updated policies as they expire. Failure to maintain insurance results in phone line disconnection.

Sole proprietorships may request exemption from Workers' Compensation requirements.

Insurance Certificate Holder Addition

Best Pick Reports encourages adding EverCommerce as a certificate holder. This enables independent annual coverage verification and alerts regarding policy changes or lapses, though it remains optional.

Licensing Requirements

All companies must maintain valid licenses as required by the state for the services you appear in with Best Pick Reports.

The organization displays only licenses matching listed service categories. License changes must be reported immediately, with non-compliance resulting in phone disconnection.

Secretary of State Requirements

Companies must maintain Active or In Good Standing status with their state's Secretary of State office. Sole proprietorships may request exemption.

Financial Standing Verification

New companies undergo credit reporting examining bankruptcy history, liens, judgments, credit scores, credit limits, and payment history to assess operational stability. No submission required unless the company cannot be located.

Customer Complaints

Best Pick companies that receive 3 or more help desk complaints and/or guarantee claims in a 12-month period will go through an internal review process to determine whether you are still a good fit for Best Pick Reports.
