General Rules for Company Profiles
Word Count and Character Limits
Space is restricted for company profiles. Company quotes average around 50 words or 300 characters, while company information typically runs 100 words or 700 characters. Font size and spacing cannot be adjusted.
Tone and Style
Best Pick Reports uses straightforward and unbiased language to maintain credibility. Profiles employ third-person tense in the Company Information section, following The Chicago Manual of Style and Merriam-Webster's dictionary. Capital letters and italics for emphasis are prohibited. Exclamation points appear only in company names and quotes, not in the information section. Special formatting like bolding and underlining is not permitted.
Content Guidelines
Factual claims must be accurate. The publication does not print:
- Offensive language
- Information providing unfair competitive advantages
- Content directing customers to alternative contact methods
- Religion-based company categorization
Years of experience must be attributed to individuals, not combined across multiple people. Required occupational licenses appear in the profile's right-hand section alongside ratings and insurance verification, not within the main information section. Editorial discretion determines final wording.

Renewing members should promptly notify Best Pick Reports of profile changes, especially regarding awards, memberships, and certifications. Updates can be submitted through the EverConnect portal's Activity Manager. Companies receive two revision rounds per profile.
New Members or Categories
New companies or those entering new categories receive profiles based on existing information, Activity Manager submissions, or website content. After review, companies can make two revision rounds. Submissions should be thorough and clear initially.
