“Great salespeople and good quality materials at a fair price. Installers appear to be third-party contractors and we had concerns about ethical labor practices and quality due to remuneration structure. Project manager helpful — shout out to Melvin. Overall recommend but if you care about only hiring workers who are paid regular wages and provided benefits then suggest you ask specific questions related to this. We will see how it goes as there is a one year warranty on craftsmanship.”

“The floors look good, but the communication left a lot to be desired. In addition, it took much longer than expected, we ran into issues (which would have been fine if communication was better), and the team didn't follow our HOA hours for work. To improve the service, I would have a project manager on the job site at all times.”

“The floor is beautiful but something is wrong with the floor. As I walk I feel the floor joints under my feet and I am afraid my floors are going to cave in. I have to get someone else to look at my floors after I paid a lot of money to get new floors. The floors are buckling. Some parts are flat and even and some parts are raised and uneven. Don’t get fooled by the price. I walk on my tippy toes in my home until I get someone else to repair and replace my floors.”

“Very professional, efficient and fair price”
“Overall experience was fine. Big picture goals were met of a flooring that was installed well and matched what we already had well for a competitive price. One area that could be better was the job management part of the install. The installers were clearly contractors from another company hired by District Floor Depot - which is normal as I understand it. The two installers who worked on the job essentially did not understand or speak English. Even when they would ask me questions about for example which direction I wanted the boards to go in a room, unless my answer was a yes or no or I could point which way, they didn't understand what I said. So I could not ask questions or even when I tried to help them out by pointing out they could plug their saw in, they didn't understand. The store did have someone come by one time the first day and twice the second day after I explained the situation to check on them. That was the only time however I could communicate or learn about the status of the job. Also, I would say that while they did try to clean up after the job, it could have been better. The moulding around the base of the walls in all the rooms worked in had to be wiped down afterwards from the saw dust left after they were cutting the boards. I had to do a fair amount of touch up painting on the walls both in the 4 rooms worked on and in the area around where the boxes of flooring were stored. Nothing awful and I expected some would have to be done. But this was more than expected. Also, there was a phone jack that was wired in one of the rooms. They didn't put the wire back between the edge of the boards and the wall moulding before putting in the shoe moulding. Instead they left it running across the middle of the room on top of the flooring. I ended up having to cut the wire. If they had spoken or understood English at all, I could have asked them about it before hand.”

“Flooring looks good but the crew absolutely demolished my trim and got adhesive on my kitchen appliances. They also broke some blinds. Cleanup after installation was poor, with dirt and adhesive and residue from previous flooring all of over.”

“We really liked the store representative who helped us and was very patient in meeting our requests. In terms of installation, we were a little less enthusiastic, as it seemed to be rushed and we were left with some damage of household items though District Floor did reimburse for that damage. If it weren't for the very friendly representative I would have had to rank lower.”

Very professional and timely. Competitive pricing. Easy to schedule installation. They three person crew was efficient and did a good job. I ran out of the underlayment material and the liaison called to tell me I was able to purchase like material at reasonable price to complete installation. Happy with floor and there were no major hiccups in service.”

“The price was reasonable and the finished project looks great. My only concerns were that they identified additional work that would have to be done, and that increased my cost from what we had contracted for, based on facts that were completely obvious at the time they provided the original estimate (i.e., that one portion of the dining floor was somewhat slanted, and that there was a toilet in the half bath that the flooring was to go under). Also, the method they provide for communicating electronically with customers is through a general email inbox for the whole store, and it seems that staff take turns monitoring it. As a result, I often had to send 2 or 3 follow up emails on the same question to get a response.”
