When I phoned Veteran Air & Heating this morning, a human being actually answered the phone & was very helpful right off the bat. Once he knew what I needed & how we were w/o any water to our home, he had a technician out to our home by 12:30. Incredible response time. Brandon was our technician. He was very knowledgeable, explained what was wrong with our water heater, told me why it needed to be replaced & that he needed to call the office to make sure he could do the job today. All was approved & Brandon went to the distribution center to get the supplies. He came right back & had a new water heater installed with all the appropriate over-flow tank, pipes, tray, etc by 5:00. Such a great job on his part. We are very satisfied with this company. They gave us a 10% discount plus an additional 5% discount since my husband is a Veteran. Good prices, attention to detail, good warranty, & they offer a Total Home Defense preventative plan for plumbing, electrical & a/c. We highly recommend them for any of the above work. You won't be disappointed.

We had an excellent experience with our HVAC maintenance technician, Ty Hooks. He was professional, punctual, and very knowledgeable. He took the time to explain everything he was doing, as well as the overall condition of our system, in a way that was easy to understand. He answered all our questions thoroughly and made sure we felt comfortable with the work being done. It’s clear he takes pride in his work and truly cares about customer service. We really appreciate the great service and would highly recommend him for any HVAC needs!

Let me just say, my air went out at an awful time. My husband was over seas for the military, my toddler and I were both sick and it was a holiday (Labor Day). The air went out at night and seeing that it’s September it didn’t take the house long to get up to 82. I called EVERY number I could that allegedly said 24 hour response but they truly were not. I contacted Veteran Air, which I knew had a good reputation. Unbeknownst to me in an exhausted delirium at 2:00am I had scheduled it a day later not in the morning. I was expecting them to show up in the morning and didn’t realize I had screwed up. I received a call from them and they brought up the discrepancy. They told me they would love to come out immediately and fix it. It says something when the company is paying attention to incidents coming in and addressing them. I was so overwhelmed from life, working, my child, and husband gone, he was like a hero calling me. I legitimately got choked up (sappy I know.) The HVAC Tech Caleb showed up super fast! He was so professional, polite and personable! He even explained things to me that I never knew about AC’s (even growing up in FL)! He worked so fast and had our air running quick (broken capacitor). Solid representative of the company for sure! I understand that everyone is looking for cheap AC work but with so many scam artists out here and the costs of unit replacements being so high, don’t bypass a reputable company just to save a few bucks. Go with a professional and these guys are definitely that!

I have mixed feelings about this company based on several interactions. The first issue was when I requested a quote to install a natural gas quick-connect near my meter for a portable generator. Tyler Harlow discussed the work and made it sound like it would be a complex and time-consuming job requiring additional equipment and modifications. However, I never received a formal quote for the gas work itself, only a quote for unrelated water pressure reduction work that I had not requested. The verbal estimate for the gas connection was approximately $1,900. Wanting a second opinion, I contacted R.T. Moore, the company that originally installed the gas service and piping in my home. They quoted the same quick-connect installation at $575, provided I supplied the quick-connect fitting. The difference in pricing was significant. I also hired this company to install a generator power inlet and a soft-start device on one of my air conditioning units. Unfortunately, the technician who installed the soft start did not appear familiar with the calibration process required after installation. The unit was left without being properly calibrated, and shortly afterward the compressor stopped starting correctly. After troubleshooting and running the calibration procedure myself, the system has been operating normally. To be fair, the most recent technician who visited my home was knowledgeable, professional, and appeared to have a much better understanding of the equipment and installation requirements. Because of that experience, I don’t believe the company lacks capable technicians. However, the inconsistent quality between visits, combined with the large discrepancy in pricing for the gas line work, has left me hesitant to use them again for future projects. Overall, my experience was mixed: some good people, but concerns regarding pricing, consistency, and technical familiarity with the equipment being installed.

Very happy with the service and Xavier was amazing. He did his job well and kept us informed the entire time. Instead of scheduling us out they took care of our issues the day of our inspection. Spent the whole day working very hard to get us back to good! If you have a unit that you are “planning” to service, do it now! Veteran Air was very easy to work with and we appreciate Xavier’s hard work.
