My name is Martin in Aberdeen, MD. I was thorughly impressed with HORIZON Services. My water heater died and started to leak. I called Sunday evening and a tech (Chris) was here Monday to assess and write an estimate and arrange for installation the very next day. He was helpful, personable and professional. And he was kind enough to get a small pump from his truck and drain the water heater before he left. The sponge and bucket had gotten old. He returned early the next day with a helper and they got it done. Neatly and cleanly! HORIZON sent text and email confirmations, ETA's, a pre-job copy of the contract and explanation of charges, no stone left unturned, no question unanswered. And Chris was a really nice and knowledgeable person. I liked the the way Chris handled business so much I signed up for HORIZON's modestly priced service contract.

My tech today was Newton Pena and he was awesome let me tell you I had so many questions for him as he was doing the job and he would answer every single one of them and explain to me what he was doing and why it was going to benefit me, I had a busted pipe under my deck that I use for my garden hose and it was connected to the pipe in my house and he replaced the pipe and added a shut off valve to the pipe in side my house so next winter I could turn it off from the inside so it won't bust again and he put installation around the outside pipe, he also changed out my main water shut off valve in my house because it was so old that we couldn't turn the water off. Along with that he did the same thing to the one on the side of my house that I use for my garden hose so they all will be winterized so I can now turn everything off inside not worry about anything freezing. He was so friendly and kind and had alot of patience with me I do ask alot of questions because I want to understand and know what I should do and should not do and he explain it all to me. Newton I want to thank you again for all of your hard work and patience and making me feel comfortable to even ask my questions you are the best. I have used Horizon for many other things like my New AC unit and my New boiler any they have never disappointed me I think it's been over 6 years that I have used them for work. I called Tuedsay and he was here Wednesday morning. I am so happy that everything is fixed and completed.

I had a great experience with my service man-Jake! He’s kind, respectful and knowledgeable about his work. Took time to explain things, what I can update to make things better or my machine last longer and he cleaned my A/C unit! I couldn’t have asked for a more proficient person with a good company to come to my home. Will recommend him any day/ any time. Please come back soon. Bravo!!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Had them install a new system in October 2025. The salesman told us into we were getting a variable speed unit (which our house requires), but it turns out on install the part he sold us wasn't really variable speed at all. The installer noticed this was the case and called management to discuss, he was instructed to install it anyway, and nobody told me. One of the dampers they brought to the original install wasn't working, so a technician was sent a few days later to install the replacement damper and complete the job. The technician came with the damper but then left to go get supplies... after talking to his manager on his phone, he took hours cutting holes in the main trunks of the new system to install a huge bypass (which was not part of the original agreed plan, see photo). This created tons of turbulent flow and noise through the vents, and sacrificed much of the system's efficiency. After much back and forth with management, a repeat total rip-out and re-install of a proper variable speed fan replacement system was done. After a month or so we finally had the types of equipment we had agreed upon. However, it was too cold to charge the AC line by that point, so we were instructed that this would be done/completed in the spring. Given our prior problems and need for numerous repeat visits, I proactively called to discuss the case with a manager, to make sure the technician knew what they were walking into and what needed to be done to complete the task. I was promised that they would send out their most experienced tech to make sure this was done right and the system would work without needing more repeat visits. This technician came, charged the system, said that everything was tested and working. A few days later, we turn the system on and NO Air Conditioning. I called and begged the call center to simply put me on the line with a manager who could discuss how they were going to fix or trouble shoot this, and not just waste another day of our time for a tech to not fix it (or make the situation worse, as in the case of the unwanted bypass on the first install), and after imploring them over and over to let me speak to someone, all I could get was "I'm sorry you are experiencing this, nobody can talk to you now, someone will call you back in the next 12-24 hours"..."I can not do anything for you right now": Its 90 degrees and we have no working AC - 6 MONTHS AFTER THE INSTALL STARTED. (Update: no manager called me back after the quoted 24 hours...). The most recent tech was able to get the system running, as there was a problem with the wiring, unclear how this was missed by the previous techs and install teams. This has been the most miserable and time consuming experience. But what finally broke me to post this review was that, despite the up-front promises of customer satisfaction and BBB ratings, it is nearly impossible to get anyone on the line to take ownership of the work and make sure it is actually done right. I begged the call center person to please put me on the phone with someone who can help me with my situation, and the response was they can't do that. They will just send someone else out, and then do it again and again and hope it eventually functions. It took us 8 days off of work, two install teams, two managers (still waiting for that call-back from the most recent episode), and four different service technicians. Do yourself a favor and instead find a local operation that will actually take your calls, stand by their quality, and fulfill their promises of customer satisfaction.

10/10 service from Cody Rupp! We cannot thank him enough for providing explanations regarding the water heater, our financing options/warranty and a damn near perfect estimate on how long the installation will take. We also added a hose line that was located in a difficult area of the house (see attached). He was professional, personable and consistent throughout his work. Give him a raise and he will specifically be requesting him should we need future assistance. I always want to notate that he wasn’t pushy with the service, truly did put the customer first. Thank you so so much Cody R🙏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
