I recently had TRAGAR Heating convert my home from oil to gas, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. From the first consultation with Vincent to the final installation, their team was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly organized. The technicians arrived on time, explained every step of the process. They took care of all the details—permits, scheduling, safety checks. A huge shout out to Tragar. Today Long Island was hit by a Noreaster and of course our heat stopped working. We're expecting a week of sub 30 degree weather, so I was concerned. No hot water and no heat. Who knows could happen. Once I noticed the problem I immediately called Tragar, my oil and AC company. The service operator was friendly, considerate, and genuinely seemed concerned for us. She put in for an emergency service. I was thinking hours, possibly days before they'd show. Surprisingly, I received a text from the repair expert Justin within the hour. He drove through un plowed roads and when he showed up, he thanked me because our house the the only one that was shoveled. He was friendly and immediately got to work diagnosing the problem. As expected, it was electrical. He swapped out the relay panel in no time. Tested the zoned and checked the thermostat for one zone. In and out within an hour. Great service!!!

Sam Casella was our Service Tech for the yearly tune up for the boiler. He was very pleasant and accommodating. He took care of our issue immediately , explained everything he was doing, and then went ahead to point out potential issues that might develop. He answered every question we had in detail and is very thorough, an excellent employee. I am glad that he was our Service Tech yesterday.

Tragar sent technician Mike P. faster than expected. He was very polite, informative, and efficient. He replaced the part and system was running. Price for replacement part was high since my contract did not cover that part. Overall, I am very happy with Tragar and have been with them for years.

Outstanding Service from Carlos Ordonez at Tragar. Carlos provided truly exceptional service. From the moment he arrived, it was clear he was focused on getting to the root of the problem, not rushing through the appointment. He took his time to thoroughly diagnose why the heat was turning on and off, ran all the proper checks and balances on the oil boiler, and made sure nothing was overlooked. Not only did he fix the issue, but he clearly explained what caused it, why it happened, and how to prevent it from happening again, which was especially reassuring with another snowstorm approaching. On top of that, Carlos went the extra mile by putting in a request to have the vent reinstalled in a safer location after noticing it was pulling in too much moisture from the snow. His knowledge, attention to detail, and professionalism were outstanding. It’s rare to find a technician who is this thorough and genuinely invested in doing the job right. Carlos is a huge asset to Tragar, and I would absolutely recommend him without hesitation.
