I do not recommend Tristate Roofing. I reached out to them to schedule a roof inspection and routine roof maintenance for a home I recently purchased. Initially I was unable to get in touch with them. It took several voicemails and almost a week of consistent calling. When they finally responded they stated they were booked out for several weeks and would not be able to look at the roof prior to my closing date. I requested to make an appointment for the roof inspection and maintenance once the home was purchased and they stated this was a "special and unique request" and would send me a quote to approve prior to scheduling the appointment. They are a roofing company...How is looking at a roof to determine maintenance needs a "special request?" The home is a simple one story, 1800 square foot home with a simple roof. A few days later I received a quote for $823 for a "roof inspection." I called Tristate Roofing because I figured this was a miscommunication or misunderstanding. I even asked if the $823 "inspection" would go towards any of the recommended repair costs (the answer was NO). Tristate Roofing stood behind their $823 estimate just to look at a roof and tell me what routine maintenance needs performed. I called two other roofing companies who have the same GAF certifications as Tristate and received 2-2.5 hr labor quotes not exceeding $300 for roof inspections. There are a lot of professional and great roofing companies in the area and I do not recommend settling for Tristate's unprofessionalism and scandals.
