We recently had the pleasure of working with Better Basements to waterproof our daylight basement, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the entire experience. From start to finish, they made the process effortless and stress-free. **Initial Consultation:** Michael conducted the initial visit and impressed us with his straightforward and genuine approach. He didn’t pressure us into making a decision, which made us feel comfortable right from the beginning. **The Crew:** The crew that came out was punctual and professional. They took great care to protect our personal belongings in the basement by covering everything, which provided peace of mind. At the end of the day, they did an excellent job cleaning up, leaving the area tidy. Ian led the team and was incredibly thorough. He took the time to explain each step of the process and was always available to answer our last-minute questions, making us feel informed and involved. Each member of the crew brought something special to the table. Makai stood out as a true team player—personable and friendly, making it easy to have conversations about the work being done. Jacob also impressed us with his kindness and dedication; he went above and beyond when it came to restoring our lawn. You wouldn’t even notice that they had dug across it! **Overall Experience:** I wholeheartedly recommend Better Basements to anyone in need of waterproofing services. They've set a high standard for customer service and quality work. I've already begun recommending them to friends and family, and I can confidently say that choosing them was one of the best decisions we made! 🌟

Start to finish, a truly exceptional experience with Better Basements and Waterproofing. The flooding of our basement was truly devastating and the hours of work my wife and I had to put in seemed endless. Then, we came across Better Basements and Waterproofing, and all of that changed. Starting with Abby setting us up with a walk-through (and being so swift with all of her communication) and getting Cole to come out and assess our scope of work. Cole’s tact and care throughout this process is something that should be lauded over and over again. Cole was so thoughtful in his approach, helping me understand each stage of the work and what my wife and I could do ourselves to continue to help the process along. The day of the work came and we met Graham - damn, how lucky are we?! Graham and his crew were so thoughtful and kind, thorough and relatable, and he was truly so gracious with his time, also walking me through every phase of his team's process. Now, this may be their SOP, but Graham never made it feel that way. He made it feel as though it was his business and he wanted to ensure we were partners in this journey, paving the way to a better life for our basement. I wish I remembered the rest of the crew members names that helped, but all of them were incredibly warm and welcoming. Each of them took the time to introduce themselves and share their day with me and deserve that recognition! Dylan - you have a one-of-a-kind team and kudos to you that each one of them have a sense of camaraderie and buy-in that should be praised at every turn. Couldn’t be more pleased with the work performed by Better Basements. Stellar performance throughout the whole process… Michael did a fantastic job providing the bid and overseeing the project through completion. The field crew was superb; they communicated with me throughout the process to make sure I was happy with the work as it progressed. Thanks to the hard work of Graham, Edgar, Fernando, Martin, Jacob, and Makai, my project finished on budget, on schedule, with no safety issues, and with great quality. What more could a home owner ask for?

Better Basements and Waterproofing is quite simply one of the best companies I've had the pleasure of working with. Ever. I'm one of those process nerds who digs into every aspect of everything. Their thoroughness, positive attitude and ability to adapt is so refreshing. We originally had them out in Nov of '24 to add the waterproofing system but we left "tabs" in the floor so that the wall would still have support. This was suggested by an independent structural engineer that we'd hired to give us an unbiased opinion. Again, I'm a nerd about this stuff and figured that the ~$500 would be well worth the cost, given that the cost of the work would be over $10k. It also made logical sense -- our wall had already shifted enough to put cracks through concrete so removing _all_ of the support of the floor seemed like a bad idea. They were perfectly gracious in making that adjustment. That said, those spots where the tabs were leaking a bit so they came out this month to just do those parts. They met their estimated cost that they offered to replace the tab back in 2024 and Bryan did a spectacular job. Honestly, Better Basements and Waterproofing is such a good company that I'd love to have the time to dig in as to _why_. Is it the leaders? Is it luck? Business schools in general should be studying this organization. Heck, they could have a side hustle writing books about how to run good businesses :)

The crew showed up exactly at 8:30 AM as promised, and checked in with me, assess the situation, and make sure they understood my expectations clearly. The work was done, professionally and efficiently. They reviewed all the work they had done and made sure I was satisfied with the work. I am very, very pleased with the service they provided and glad I selected Better Basements. I received bids and reviews from three companies. Better Basements looked to be the most honest and straightforward. I made the right selection! I recommend them and their amazing staff without any reservation whatsoever! Michael Portland, Oregon
