Interstate Roofing did an outstanding job replacing the roof, gutters, and skylight on our home in Southwest Portland. Jordan was wonderful to work with, he took the time to explain all of our options and provided clear, easy-to-understand pricing comparisons, which made the decision process much easier. The entire team was responsive, professional, and a pleasure to work with from start to finish. They completed our entire roof in just one day, replaced all of the rotted boards they found underneath, and delivered high-quality work at a very competitive price. This roof replacement was a GAF claim; however, I was responsible for a small portion. Interstate is WONDERFUL! The estimator, Mark, the office staff, Heather and Jordan, the site supervisor, Jorge, and the roof workers. This started with choosing a roofing company to inspect my roof for my GAF claim. I chose Interstate and Mark was quick to get out and inspect. He was such a wonderful asset through the process. He basically was my ‘defense attorney’. He discovered so many things that were done wrong on my 2014 install. This was a 25 year roof that only lasted 11 years. I learned they never decked my roof and, at one of our appointments, Mark found a huge amount of nails that were coming out of the roof. He took me out in the street and pointed out shingles that were not laying flat. He said it was caused by nails pulling out. Mark also showed up at the GAF claim inspection and walked the roof with the inspector. Communication with everyone was excellent. Deliveries arrived as scheduled. Jordan walked me through everything, step by step…what would arrive when, and how to prepare my house and yard for all the noise, hammering and flying materials. The crew arrived early both days, set up there air compressor and equipment and went right to work. The site supervisor, Jorge’, was on site both days and always asked me if I had questions/concerns. When something minor came up that was my responsibility, I mentioned I’d take care of it. Jorge’ said I have been through enough with the roof and said he’d take care of the issue. That was very heartwarming. When he left to check on other sites, he always let me know. If they ran into an obstacle, he was at my door. He is very personable. The clean up was amazing. There’s always something, but only a couple of plastic quarter-size caps. They’re neon, so they were easy to spot. But I walked the entire yard and I didn’t have even a palm full of things. I peaked outside as they were cleaning up. I was very impressed that, not just one person was out there cleaning up, but the entire crew cleaned up. As you can see in the photos, I started with a furnace chimney, and since it wasn’t being used and I had no plans to use it in the future, Interstate Roofing removed it. Just another service they provide. And the removal provided another benefit: a longer ridge vent. I highly recommend Interstate Roofing. Thank you so much for my new roof! You guys are wonderful!

Did a really great job with the roof care this year. Vincente ans his crew took their time removing all the moss, clearing the gutters and cleaned thoroughly after they were done. Would definitely recommend them and will use them again. Thanks Interstate Roofing!

My experience was extremely frustrating due to a significant lack of communication and coordination between Interstate and the subcontractors who actually performed the roofing work. Once the contract was signed, the salesperson virtually disappeared and never followed up with me regarding the project. He also offered a 15-year workmanship warranty, which the company initially refused to honor until I provided screenshots of our conversation proving it had been promised. Before the project started, I requested the installation of two additional bathroom exhaust vents through the roof. I discussed this with the project manager on the first day, and again on the second day. Each time, I was assured that it would be taken care of. However, as the subcontractors were preparing to leave at the end of the project, I asked whether the exhaust vents had been installed. They informed me that no vents had been added because they had not been told to do so. As a result, they had to reopen sections of the newly installed roof, cut additional holes, and complete the work at the last minute. This clearly demonstrated the lack of communication within their team. To make matters worse, one of my gutters was damaged during the project. Rather than taking responsibility, Interstate attempted to blame my painters without any evidence. I was not seeking financial compensation or a discount, but their unwillingness to acknowledge the damage spoke volumes about their integrity. Interstate also claimed that a final inspection of the roof had been completed. However, I have security cameras around my property and never observed anyone performing such an inspection. Had someone actually inspected the work, they likely would have noticed the damaged gutter. Overall, my experience left me with the impression that Interstate is more focused on securing contracts than on customer satisfaction or quality control. If you're considering a roofing project, I would strongly recommend working with a smaller, reputable company that values communication, accountability, and customer service rather than one that takes your money and disappears once the contract is signed.

From the first phone call to job completion Interstate Roofing provided outstanding service. This is the second re-roof Interstate has completed for me and both times the results have been second to none. They are very responsive and go out of their way to make their schedule fit mine. The project schedule was completed as promised and the cleanup was excellent. They provided what their proposal specified at the quoted price. Interstate is an excellent company to trust with your roof requirements.
