"I would advise consumers not to use them. You would think that they are a reputable company, they're not. They send people that aren't properly trained. Sometimes they send Hispanic boys to do their job. When you call and have someone come out, there is a project manager by the name of Jennifer, who talks a good game. They have each other's back. She never calls you back. The salesperson, by the name of Connor, was rude, and he would send text messages to your phone telling me that the products were not there, but they were. My house is the same way they left it. I wanted to have them put on television for the poor work they did. I didn't like their work, it was terrible."

"They cracked my skylight. It has been a few months now that I have been waiting to get that fixed. I have a tarp over my roof, and I am expected to make payments on my roof that is not complete. The foreman can't find someone to make the repairs, and he came out last week to make measurements. It has been a headache since the roof job was complete. I feel like I was set up because I signed the papers saying the roof was complete, and then it rained the next day and my roof was leaking. It left water damage on the inside, water stains on my ceiling, and my skylight fell off. I am still waiting on them to repair this. I would not recommend this company to anyone based on what I have been through."

"A representaive came to home inquirying extremely pushy made us feel put in a position didnt have a very quickly paperwork everything dont sign today not going to financing offering only chance promised everything would be perfect atic fan ceiling told us a lot of things, came time for them to schedule the job, we told them postpone the job for another day no one answered no pick up. The salesperson did not want to communicate at all, rescheudle cancel wouldn't 10000 liable for the loan made us thrid party long roofing, cancel tried to postpone they showed oroginal without telling woke 6AM people being on my roof no one gave aheads up just showed up the company sent them over here. That was one biggest issue. after done cleaned up fixed etc there were nails all in my yard and my tire disinflated nail truck has to get ire replace didnt my dog got hurt nails all over my year peachtree died evrything went badly on top of didnt put the fan, literally a hole in filmsy of wood all the air is coming in through system ventalit worse now no one came to check told the guys did this right way, left in laundry roof huge hole. I have pictres to back this really really bad expereince. I'm going to the BBB 350000 do the job correctl ytooke a 5000 answer my calls I just dooped husband over 65+ extr time to cancel wouldn't answer had extra time really negative."

The initial workmen were unable to adequately complete the job and left my kitchen ceiling with a hole and a leak in it and the bathroom floor tiles broken. Although the leak is fixed, the hole is still there and the floor tiles are still broken since October 29, 2020. It is now December 6, 2020 and the leak was (hopefully) finally fixed on December 4th."

"I cannot recommend Long Roofing to anyone as my experience to over the last couple of weeks has been horrible. I spent over $9000 to replace a tub with a shower with sliding glass doors. The only good thing I can say is that the shower door looks great. However, the attention to detail of the installation crew was awful. Super nice guys but I could not be more disappointed in the quality of their work related to caulking, fixing dings on the ceiling, not cleaning up before caulking which then resulted in dirt being embedded in the caulk, installing shelves upside down, installing the handle to turn on the water not straight, installing the handle to turn on the water in such a way that the hot water does not work, etc. To add insult to injury, my sales person Chris keeps talking to the Long Roofing leadership and the production leadership and tells me that a new crew will come out to fix the issues. I continue to hear that someone will reach out to me to schedule time for the crew to come out and address this issue and day after day, I receive no call or update. I almost never take time to provide customer feedback but I am so very disappointed in Long Roofing at this time, that I wanted to share the details of my experience."

"I had an issue with communication and coordination. The first thing we did was read the January 2020 issue of consumer reports where it talked the steps to get a new roof. So when our salesperson Frederick Zelner came out, he answered every question blindly. He didn't know us, and we didn't know him. 2-3 weeks later I was contacted by Dana to schedule to work, the day before the work was to start, she said Sept 24, they were going to have the products delivered, but they weren't. So on the 25, the subcontractor showed up, and they asked me where the materials were. Well they weren't delivered, so I reached out to the project manager whose voicemail was full. Then I tried reaching out to Dana and left a voicemail, she never got back to me. Then we got in touch with another project manager, and he let us know the materials were supposed to be delivered by 9am on the 25. After they installed the roof, they had a flyer called "What' Happens Next" and it had 4-5 steps on there. Item #1 the materials will be dropped off the day before installation and that didn't happen. Item #3, on installation day the assigned project coordinator will introduce themselves to you as point of contact and to lead you through the project at complete satisfaction, this didn't occur before the job started. I had this conversation with Jennifer Morsel (the senior operations' manager) and told her that one of the biggest things for us is the lack of coordination and communication between the subcontractor, long roofing, and the project manager. The only real communication we got was with Cedric Zelner the salesperson. One of the things in the contract, on completion of the job, payment is expected for the balance due. So I tried giving money to the subcontractor, and he said he doesn't take money. So I said okay, who does. Well the project manager does. So I called the project manager and his mailbox was full. So someone got in touch with him, and he had to schedule an appointment because he couldn't make it that day. I was told they would be there between 7-9, and they didn't show up. Jennifer found out that they were supposed to be there sometime later in the day on the 28th. And apparently when they do the gutter guards, those folks work 7-5 and anywhere in that timeframe is when they show up. When they completed the job, they were talking to their partners saying they needed cash and one guy told me I had a balance due and I told him I didn't. He said I did and I told him that Marco Giles, the project manager came by that day to pick up the check. So I think the coordination of communication needs to be better between all workers. It almost seemed like the right hand didn't know what the left hand was doing. But the job got done and it's all good for now."

"As far as the quality of work goes, it was good work. It wasn't as good as I have seen them do before. When I called about this job, I informed them that I was calling them for my sister. I wanted a roof put on her house. The first person I talked to said that I could get a referral fee because I was referring my sister. We had a couple of companies come, but no company offered anything like that. We went with Long Roofing because I like their work and the referral fee. The salesperson came out to do the estimate and presentation. He mentioned the same referral fee to me. I called back later about the referral fee, and they said it couldn't be done until the job was complete. Once the job was complete, I called them about the referral fee. They told me I was no longer eligible for the fee because I was not already a customer. They gave me a number to call and discuss it. The person said they would call me back and never did. Now every time I call, I get their voicemail. It is the principle of the thing. That soured me."

"The estimate process was wonderful and flawless. I was very pleased. It was the follow through on installment day that I was disappointed with. They came in an unmarked truck it was a subcontractor. We hadn't been told we would be receiving that. No one spoke English and I couldn't voice any of my concerns. We had some concerns about replacing some plywood. Due to the language barrier, I wasn't able to communicate any of that. I tried to contact the office and it was an hour or two before I could get in touch with anyone. They finally had someone come by but we were halfway through the day by then. They dropped debris on my flowers etc..There were multiple nails dropped down. They cleaned them up eventually but we had to be careful during the day. The install crew wasn't nearly as professional as we thought they should have been. We have noticed some inconsistencies now that we need to contact them about. I am not even sure how well the job was completed at this point."

Before any work was done or any materials were delivered, there was a charge to the card that I had opened to finance the project. That meant that Long had $18,000, over half of the cost of the project and had not even started. Projects don’t work that way. No one had communicated with me about why this happened. Communication was poor. I was disappointed because Long has done other projects for us. Once the crew got started, they were very professional and got the project done. I’m pleased with the work."

"If we weren't on top of things we would've been left with about 1/2 of the roof with rotten wood on house and garage. Had to ask for it to get replaced. Clean up was not satisfactory. Still finding and cleaning up roofing nails months later. Brother actually stepped on one and couldn't walk on foot for a week. Dented a downspout. Threw away gutter guards (that are visible) and was replaced but with wrong size. Doesn't stay on. Took down TV antena and didn't place back. Should've had a supervisor on duty, if not all day at least hours or several check back visits. Maybe actually give one of the crewman some authority to make decisions would be more productive. The crew that did add gutters to garage were very professional, sincere, fast, informative and outstanding. When reminding a supervisor that did show up about an issue with our gutters on the house, was told to ask the gutter crew how much it would cost and asked them to give me a quote "

If possible I would like to file a complaint, I don't feel the period of time I have to pay off the loan should've been started until they actually completed the work. "I never received an estimate that I could read fully - prices quoted was chopped off - my initials agreeing to steps to be followed was completed by someone else (from Long's). Please send me copies of the initial agreement and all modifications to the agreement by mail - I requested that pictures be taken of roof, before, during and after roof job was completed -I am 82 and sickly and cannot get on roof myself to inspect work - I was particularly interested in beginning and completed roof - when I asked for pictures the foreman refused to give them to me. The original price quoted was increased by more than $4K - I was told increase was due to condition of roof (standing water etc) - However before I signed anything I asked that someone go on roof to judge condition - I was told that they had a method of judging roof condition without physically inspecting roof (How I wonder). The drain pipes installed failed to meet my request and your men installed a new drain pipe beside an existing drain pipe, the new one was approx half the size of what had been previously installed. That was rectified only because I complained - have not had the strength to go out and check pipes on rear - have been too ill. I was told I would get a 20 year warranty - never received anything at all - And my final check for more than $5K (accompanied a $10K check - two different banks) seemingly got "lost" - my personal checks cannot be tampered with easily - I was told I sent the final payment in by mail (in actuality I gave the 2 checks, and signed a long form the final day they were here- installing leaf covers - never received copies of what I signed and the $5K+ check amazingly got lost - I had to stop payment on check from my bank ($33) and put the cost of my credit card. My personal checks cannot be easily tampered with. I believe that someone had tried to cash or modify the check and because it cannot be easily tampered with the check was ineligible to be presented to my bank. One of your people came over to my house regarding the $5K+ payment - I was able to show him the check in my check register which by that time was at least 20 lines up from most recently written check. Am I satisfied with the job done and the people I interacted from Long's - I don't know about job (no pictures available), if I have a problem will I have paperwork to cite re my warranty -"

"The sales process with Long Roofing and the actual installation was seamless, and everybody was really nice. Unfortunately, now that I have had the windows in for a few months, I am having major draft issues. There is water condensing around the windows seels. I have one window that cracked on the inside for no reason. Long Roofing only has their technicians available to come out from 8 am to 12 pm or from 12 pm to 4 pm. I have a fulltime job as I am sure most other customers do, and those times do not work for me. Now that the job is completed and I am having issues with it, I am expected to take off of work to accommodate Long Roofings schedule and be completely inconvenienced. As a customer, I feel like they should come out to me when I am available. On top of these issues, when the technician came here, he didn't have the supplies with him to fix the draft issues. The draft issues were not corrected everywhere. The technician was cussing in my house and using foul language. I also received leftover supplies from what somebody else didn't want to be replaced, so I didn't get the updated quality product. I got something that somebody else didn't want."

Between the super warranty and the improved underlayment (over tar paper), I didn't give it another thought. Add to that, that my entire roof was done in a DAY (1600+ square foot house with a side porch and a shed, and I was amazed! I believe my neighbors used the other contractor I talked with and it took three days to finish nearly the exact same house. (And yes, I did recommend they use Long!) I'll be planning more projects and calling Long to do them!"

"Installation crew ran out of materials for my small townhouse roofing job and their air compressor also failed. They did not have backup compressor and did not promptly try to find another one so they stopped work and threw tarps over the half finished roof - it rained that night. They backed their work truck and trailer on to my front lawn to catch debris on the tear down and broke off a large piece of cement on my front steps. When they came back to finish it took much longer due to the materials problem. Nobody on the crew spoke english so they couldn't respond well to my questions. Time periods given for the roof and gutter crew were not accurate. They showed up at random times which forced me to make work adjustments. When they left the crew did not clean up the property of debris such as nails, roofing scraps and gutter scraps. There was debris all through my lawn and bushes as well as back deck and lawn.The crew manager seemed to have challenges getting the crew straightened out. Through many phone calls to him as well as the office manager I got them to come out to clean the property of debris using a magnet and other means. They also sent someone out to patch the front steps to replace the large piece of cement missing. Not sure if this patch will hold up over time - may need to have a professional to come out in the future and Long will be billed. Finally, at the very end, there was a $2000 error in my remaining balance that I had to bring to their attention. When I asked what they got right on my roofing job they did not have an answer, because there is nothing."

After the completed, they left debris, damage our gutters with the ladders and scape the tars into the gutters. This caused the gutter backup into the upper side of the house. We have to cut the down sprout to ease the problem. We were promised by the last inspector that a free gutter will be given. Complaints were made, promises were made but not fulfilled."

"Had a materials delivery issue at first. We have a bridge going across a stream getting into the property that has a weight limit. The delivery truck weight was way over the limit. They had to come back a second time and use a power lift to bring the material across. After delivery, work was started and complete in a timely manner, clean up very thorough."

"I would be singing the praises of long roofing if it hadn't been for the property damage that ensued while replacing our roof. Our coupala was destroyed while they replaced our gazebo roof. They spent almost 8 hours trying to put it back together the day of the roofing and even painted it but it looked like a bad art project done with popsicle sticks and glue when all was said and done. You could see the cracks and caulk from the deck with a naked eye. I didn't sign off on the work, but long used our signoff on the windows done later that week to draw down the final payment from the credit company for the whole project. It took over a month of phone calls and back and forth to get them to fix the damage they caused. I wasn't upset by the damage, it was the unprofessional nature in which long conducted the eventual repairs that was unsettling. It came to my telling them I was going to contact the credit company the next Monday and report the fraud they were guilty of having drawn down final payment on our roof without my approval to get the damage fixed. Coincidentally the very next day someone was out and built a new coupula. If you have a straight forward project I recommend long. If you have anything out of the ordinary with your roof I'd look elsewhere if I had it to do over again."

"We needed the roof replaced and wanted a reliable company. Long did go in for the moderate pressure tactics, and cost a bit more. They failed to come thru with the HOA and claimed to not reach anyone. We resolved that with a single call to the HOA number I gave them. While we had to keep reaching out for a status, they did deliver on the eventual date promised, did an excellent job, and we are happy with the roof."
