We’d used Ballard Enterprises for tree service previously and were impressed with their professionalism and quality work. So, we decided to include them when we solicited bids to build a patio in our backyard. We had a couple of simple requirements: include our fire cauldron, build some raised beds for growing herbs and vegetables, and mesh functionally and esthetically with our house. Tim spent time looking at the property and consulting with us and provided us with a wonderful design with multiple pricing options. After selecting the design that matched our budget he involved us in every step of the process in selecting pavers, boulders and other materials. When it came time to build his crew was professional and gave special attention to every detail. The finished product far exceeded our expectations.

We reached out to Ballard Enterprises to get a quote for doing a landscaping overhaul for our large front yard and garden that we had neglected for several years. Tim, the CEO, came out for a walkthrough and was tremendously helpful in deciding what we wanted to do; he was fully engaged and easy to work with as we pinned down all the details in subsequent emails and a return visit. His written quote was detailed and he was very transparent when discussing costs and competing bids. Juan is the foreman of a four-man team who came out over two days to do the work. They worked hard and carefully. Juan was helpful in discussing the details of the job and advising any changes; his decades of experience and his vision for garden spaces resulted in a great understanding of exactly what we were looking for. His team did outstanding work and we are very happy with the attractive, neat result. (Note in the pictures that any sparseness of the garden and bushes was by our choice.) Nelson led a team of arborists to trim several trees that had dead branches. They did an attractive job and did so responsibly and safely. Nelson was also easy and helpful to talk to and led a good team. We are completely satisfied with our experience with Ballard Enterprises and highly recommend them!

I had a huge diseased and dying tree in my front yard, and with every storm, huge branches would come crashing down in my and my neighbor’s front yards. So I decided to cut it down. Ballard provided a quick, reasonable estimate. When I asked for a rush job, they quoted an additional fee, and then put me on a payment plan to make the expense bearable. The day of, the crew arrived early, got started, worked throughout the day, cleaned up, and even left me and my neighbor’s enough firewood for the late fall! Highly recommend!

Juan and his team did a wonderful job landscaping our yard. They weeded the planters, edged and mulched, trimmed and pruned trees and shrubs. They also planted some new lavender and fertilized the apple tree they planted last year. I highly recommend Ballard for your landscaping needs.

"We are very pleased with the excellent work provided by the team at Ballard Enterprises. Arthur Balter recommended design solutions to address a drainage problem in our sloped backyard and to fix an erosion issue by our front mailbox. The landscape crew installed a swale in the backyard, placed river rock stones off the back patio and at the front mailbox, and restacked a stone wall. Arthur came by the day of the job to direct the landscape team and followed up with us afterwards to make sure we were satisfied with the job."

Payment process is seamless and concerns raised to the Management team were addressed quickly. Services for tree removal was exceptional and the guys wore the appropriate safety gear. "I did recommend Ballard Enterprises to my HOA's management company and to a friend, both to my regret because the communication with the company was so poor at the time because two of the staff members were having health challenges--a situation that wasn't being communicated to me until very late in the relationship. As a result, my friend didn't use Ballard Enterprises for her tree work and I didn't use the company again. I hope the company owner has became aware of this communication problem and has taken care of it in the intervening years."

"I've noticed, after getting other estimates from other companies, that Ballard Enterprises prices are too high. That's the reason why we have decided not to go with them the last time we did the tress. They're charging too high compared to other bidders, for the same work. Ballard has a tendency to do things that aren't needing to be done. If I ask to just have dead tree limbs removed, on an otherwise healthy tree. Someone might say, well, you need to send those out. Which, would cost another $500-$1000. That's not what I am asking to be done, all I want are the dead limbs removed. It's okay to make suggestions. However, when they come back with the estimate, there are things listed that I have not asked to have done. That is disconcerting."

"Ballard Enterprises installed pavers and did some landscaping. After the paver installation, they throw down some grass seed on the slope of the backyard instead of installing sod. It resulted in rivers of mud ruining our grass. After being contacted, they installed sod without profit, which was appreciated. However, they had the gutter spout pointed onto the patio, which resulted in part of the patio caving in. The patio itself is great otherwise and the landscaping they did was excellent. However, I probably wouldn’t hire them again."

"First of all I appreciate the visit by the Arborist Paul Fox. He has been to 203 Cinnamon before with good recommendations. Then the two very hard workers (Jason and Melvin) did a great job on the massive cleanup left by the Winter Storm of January 2, 2022. We had 15 big Holly trees splintered from the wet, frozen snow that needed to be cut off at the tops and removed. Also a few dead trees cut down and removed (we live in the woods). This was a two day job."

"Ballard trimmed, removed dead branches, and cut down/removed an infested tree that was dying. They worked on 9 trees on our property. They performed the work during the winter season. The only reason we're not 100 percent satisfied is they left a few dead branches on a couple of our trees. We mentioned early in the site survey, how they would know what branches to remove and we were told it would be obvious to the workers. If they'd conducted a follow up and removed the remaining dead branches, we'd be more than satisfied. In fact that would exceed expectations."
