CertaPro Painters of Washington DC

CertaPro Painters did an excellent job on our 3½-story row house. They repaired damaged window frames, painted the entire exterior, and added an accent color that gave the house a much more polished and finished appearance. The crew arrived promptly every morning and was professional and dependable. They told us the project would take four days, and they completed it right on schedule. We are very pleased with the results and would highly recommend them.

Certapro Painters were professional from beginning to end. I had my kitchen cabinets and bathroom painted. Scheduling was easy. The representative arrived on time and presented and fair and easy to understand quote and scope of work. The job was seamless. I highly recommend their services.

We had a very frustrating experience with CertaPro painters and will not be using them again. When they came to do the estimate and walk through, they were so detailed oriented and responsive, and assured us of all of the little details they would take care of when they painted. The service after that was a total 180. We vacated the house for 3 days to make sure they had enough time to take care of everything, but when we returned home it was clear it was a rush job, and no one had done even basic quality assurance. There were drops and smudges of paint all over the floors and splatters of the accent wall color on the other walls. They didn’t paint the spindles under the banister, which we had been assured would be painted. They also left trash all over our outside patio. After sending pictures of the sub par work, someone came back a week later to clean up and fix the work. Which meant I lost a half day of work since I work from home and my office was one of the rooms with the most problems. But even after that we still found paint drops on the floor and between the floorboards, and trash outside on our patio. I sent dozens more pictures of the remaining issues, and after a few emails of them telling me they were working on finding a time for someone to come out and look at our place, they have now ghosted us. We paid a lot of money for this paint job. I asked for a partial refund as an acknowledgment of the shoddy work and the inconvenience to us, but they stopped responding.

I chose CertaPro Painters to repaint the entire interior of my house, and I am very happy that I did. Everyone was very communicative and on time from day one, which is very important to me. Karina was the crew chief and I trusted her and the crew completely. David, the owner, is very responsive and was great about taking care of any small issues - even agreeing to help fix problems that other contractors had caused! (Many thanks to Jorge for coming back to my house several times and being delightful with my dog who fell in love with him.) i would definitely choose this company again for any painting projects.

I had a fantastic experience with CertaPro. The whole team was fast, responsive and professional and I've gotten so many positive comments on their work. Hired them for an interior refresh that included multiple colors and finishes, a relatively complicated design, stair cases/railings and the need to protect several wood and brick elements. They had a team ready to start within days, which was so valuable as I was on a tight timeline. They protected my home and left it looking spotless. Already looking to book them again for the next project!
