"I am likely to recommend Alliance Painting to a friend; however, I have to follow up with the company due to my window getting painted in the process. It was not painted correctly. Once I go through them, they send their resources to get it cleaned."

"Painters were nice, quiet, no loud music.Arrived mostly on time"

"Unfortunately, my second experience wasn't up to the same standards as my first. Alex and Steven were sweethearts but there were just too many things that had to be touched back up and a few things that I'm not pleased with but don't want to hassle with having fixed to be able to say I would recommend Alliance. Clean-up wasn't nearly as through as I expected. Instead of removing the towel rods and toilet paper holders in order to properly remove wallpaper, texture and paint, they were simply taped over. Now, there are subtle lines from the tape and it's just not as clean looking as it should be. Sloppy lines in other places where tape was removed. Plaster overspray on the light fixtures in both bathrooms that while easy to clean, I shouldn't have to do this. If I weren't selling the house, I would insist on a better job in several aspects."

"My house was empty with no furniture. They requested to have to house cleaned before they started. So I did that. Then when they finished, the paint dust was EVERYWHERE. The housekeeper came back and said I will have to pay again. The alarm panel was not covered, it has paint. Dust was on all the floors, stove, window seals, blinds, refrigerator, and all the counters. Several light and plug covers was not put back in place, and one of the lights were left dangling."

"The project manager was attentive to my concerns and the team worked to correct issues. Attention to detail was lacking in many areas including clean lines/edges and coverage to cabinetry. The cabinet faces are smooth and have good coverage. The sides of the cabinet doors and drawer fronts are rough to the touch and do not appear to have been sanded properly. I have found some spots where the old cabinet color is showing through. There are areas of coverage on walls that do not appear as though they had 2 coats of paint as was initially promised, such as on small bathroom walls. Clean lines are not consistently present where the cabinetry meets the tile flooring in the kitchen and bathroom. The crew covered areas appropriately with taping and plastic; however, the tape that was used peeled off many areas of the interior cabinet surfaces which were in good condition previously."

"A little concernd about our crew this time. Excellent painters, great personalities, taught me some "tricks of the trade." But, there must have been a disconnect between the work order saying "drywall repair" and what was to be done, installing two 8X10 drywall patches from 1990's vintage intercom speakers removed. This required an air compressor, and texture spraying but painter had to drive to Carrolton to get what he neeed, which was a couple hours. He was under impression it was just a small drywall repair he could handle. On the final day, was told they are taking an early lunch 11:30, to return earlier and finish earlier. However, lunch out and sitting in pickup took close to two hours, and work did not get started back until around 1:30 and it was around 4: 45 pm before finishing. So ... in my opinion, improved communication of work to be done, and a more strick hours of operation, could have concluded the project in 1.5 days, not 2 full days. And, he had to bring a 3rd person on the second day in order to finish. I have used a remodler three times this year, bathrooms. He arrives at 8:30. Takes lunch at 12:30 - 1:30 and leaves promptly at 5:30. Every single day. No standing around or us guessing. The last Alliance project had a husband and wife team paint our great room, kitchen, some cabinets and a hallway and they were fantastic. We will request them again, if we need Allicance. Finally, I would rather the painter did not know about this review, for security reasons. But I would keep closer tabs on this crew."

"There are a lot of things I'm having to call them back for. Each door in my home is not painted up on the top part of it. You can't see it just by standing there, but you can when you're standing over it, like if you're putting up a light bulb. Also, seven of my lights in my kitchen are all off centered, and I can't put a bulb in. I had electrical work done, and they painted in my outlet, so all of those have to be replaced. Not only that, but here are two rooms that need to be repainted because the top is not matching with the bottom half."

"Communication was poor after first day. My contact was unavailable for remainder of project. Crew spoke no English. Three day project became five days. Damaged my door frame; they had to then paint it. Was told that old wall in kitchen would be sanded flat before painting; later told that was incorrect."

"Working with Alliance has been a very negative experience. They rushed through the job, made multiple mistakes, did not fix the things I asked them to, and left my home in worse shape than before they came. I need to have all three of my exterior doors (the paint) fixed and have had to hire and pay a new paint company to come in, redo, Alliance is busy doing their new jobs."

"They were great with communication. When we did the final walkthrough, there were barely any touch-ups needed. The crew was efficient and on time every day and provided high-quality work. I had a herb garden and several plants around the house, and they made sure they were careful to not squash the plants. They did high-quality work."
Holly B.
"The paint job was absolutely terrible. I have a list of items that were damaged during the job. Some include: our brand new stone patio, our back patio, clothing (my husband's suit, and my son's Jiu Jitsu Gi - both very expensive items), our new fan blades were scraped (4 of 5 of them) with a ladder, I assume, master bathroom toilet clogged, dent in our fridge, ripped toilet paper holder off wall and not repaired, damaged face plates for light switches, broken outlet in daughter's room. The drywall looks like it was done by someone who has never done that before. (bubbles and holes everywhere) I repaired myself. The "texture" added where there were holes (not big areas so not sure why it was done this way) looks like dripping blobs. There were TONS of paint drips everywhere. The lines were not clean. The house was filthy after the team left. We had someone come touch up and it took him over 3 hours and everything was still not fixed. The cabinets we paid extra for were barely painted and were not prepped. The hinges had paint all over them. Things I talked about with the program manager (like a piece of trim on the inside of the back door) not painted despite discussing it. It was later painted very slopply. They sealed our drawer closed with paint in the master then "fixed it" by ripping it off and you can still see where they did that. We found some random person's identification documentation (a temporary Driver's License) not belonging to anyone on the crew in our refrigerator. We stopped by one day and the team had left the 5 gallon bucket of paint with the lid off and it had already dried the top layer. I would absolutely not recommend this company to anyone. Collin and Gustavo are the only good things about this company."

"Their contract outlined the process they would be doing and they did it that way."
Loretta P.
"Based on the bids I received from all contractors from whom I solicited proposals, while Alliance was not the lowest bid, their cost was reasonable compared to the others. Though not the lowest bid, the details of the proposal and the information I received about their prep and painting process convinced me to give them a try. On line recommendations of prior customers also helped. The job was started and completed as scheduled. The job site was cleaned up every day. When completed, the walkthrough resulted in few touch ups being required. I have done a lot of my own painting and work hard to get clean lines between colors and different surfaces. The paint edges are neat and clean and met or exceeded my personal standards. While I always suggest seeking multiple proposals in any job of this size, I would easily recommend Alloance Painting be a company that should be included in the mix."

"Sales experience was excellent and the painters professional and skilled. Did a great job of keeping the work site clean after each day, kept me informed of any specific problem areas they were addressing, and took care to not disturb plants, shrubs, etc. However, despite being told by the sales rep that he would come by our home personally to check on the project, never saw or heard from him again. Likewise, the site project manager only came by the house at the very beginning and twice during the last 24 hours to personally check with us. We received texts daily as to when the crew would show up - which was good. The last day walk around was rushed, painter had not yet removed all the masking tape, so a couple of areas that needed touch up were hidden. I didn’t discover these until 1 day later. Notified Alliance, they responded quickly, but haven’t seen anyone yet to perform the work. Let’s just say the value was good, painters were excellent and we are happy with the outcome."

"Doing a good job of painting was my minimal expectation. I would hope that all professional painters can paint well. The other two companies that submitted a bid offered to pull down the dead vines on one side of my home. I made the mistake of assuming that Alliance would do the same. They were on ladders, scrapping the dead vines off the soffit, but they refused to pull the dead vines from the brick. It would have added very close to no time at all to do. I'm 75 years old and in poor health. The fact that they were so uncooperative makes me unable to recommend Alliance to my friends and neighbors."

"The new crown trim, base trim and doors/casings were all installed before the painters came. I expected the painters to sand where needed. I would have paid another $1000 to get this right. I was told that the 1x4 part of the crown molding may have been rougher than the crown. If so, I expected it to be sanded as needed. I WOULD HAVE PAID EXTRA There are many rough spots/drips on that portion of the crown in most rooms. It does not look good. When the lights are on you can see these spots. The door casings had spots that needed sanding. I was told that the installer used caulk instead of wood putty to fill the nail holes and that it was hard to sand off. The crew WAS able to remove the caulk where I pointed it out. They should have gone back and done all of the doors this way since they could, in fact, actually remove the caulk and make the casings look much better. I did ask them to. They also did not get all of the nail holes covered. It does me no good to know that supposedly the door installers and the carpenter who put in the crown/base trim should have used putty and/or should have sanded down everything. They were long gone and I expected Alliance to take care of it. I WOULD HAVE PAID EXTRA. I fully expected a flawless job because Alliance had done the work in my next-door neighbor’s house and that work WAS flawless. The door going into the garage from the laundry room has bubbles in the paint on both sides. THIS IS A BRAND NEW PRIMED DOOR. The crew came back on 12/26/24 and sanded a few places, put on a bit of paint and left the door at that. There is a line all around the living room wall where a piece of trim was removed. Instead of up-charging to spackle and texture in that area and cover where the wood was removed, the crew just painted over it. Alliance did charge an extra $1200 to spackle and texture above the base trim to cover a line where the previous base trim was. WHY WOULD THE CREW NOT MENTION THAT SO YOU COULD CHARGE ME TO COVER THAT LINE IN THE LIVING ROOM AS WELL? I would have paid for it. They had to have seen it. I did not realize it showed until I turned on the big light in my living room the day after I paid in full. My heart sank. These are the MAIN things that I'm very unhappy with. To me, for $18,000, they are major things. We saved a long time to get that $18,000. I went ahead and paid but I am not satisfied. I did point these things out to the crew and to Matt-except for the line in the living room. As I said, I did not see that until a day after Alliance was paid in full and I turned the main living room lights on. Everyone at Alliance have been very pleasant but I felt like I was getting excuses as to why this or that wouldn't work every time I pointed out an area of concern. THAT DON’T GET IT DONE. I wanted solutions. I WOULD HAVE PAID EXTRA. I would be so happy if someone came back and corrected these things but I do not expect that will actually happen. It gives me no pleasure to give a less than stellar review. I do think the crew is very talented and did a great job prepping and caulking. They did a great job placing new sheetrock, spackle and texture on a section of the wall in the den. They were courteous, professional and very nice to work with. Most of the painting was very good. My problem is that where there were issues that needed solutions. I GOT NONE."

"We were promised a lot up front and were happy to pay extra for a better paint job. In practice, though, those things didn't happen, and then we were treated like asking for them to happen was an add-on that they weren't willing to do. We ended up with some of the items taken care of, but on the whole, I wish we had gone with Certa Painters, who had given us an identical quote. The highly-touted prep work just didn't happen. They just painted over peeling paint and rusty nails, there was not much sanding or scraping, they didn't fill in old nail holes, etc. I'm not impressed."

"I emailed this same statement to the owner of Alliance Painting, Ryan Anderson, on Saturday August 12th and never heard back. This process was awful for a multitude of reasons, mainly being that the project proposal is/was NOT fulfilled by Alliance Painting to the standards set by their contract, and is a direct result of poor project management, lack of oversight, and failings by subcontractors. I have pictures of each problem area I can provide as needed. Here's an overview: Beth in the office was generally unhelpful. When I attempted to ask for assistance choosing colors she was on vacation, and no one took over for her. She didn't answer my questions when she got back into the office so I didn't have any assistance when picking out a stain as requested. After that, multiple times the color form received from her was incorrect and was missing file extensions. Waiting on her to remedy this caused delays getting and approving color forms. I eventually had to make my own because waiting on her was dragging out the color approval process. File extensions on the documents were repeatedly missing that she sent me so they would not open. I explained that her files were missing extensions (.pdf/.docx/.png) and asked for one I could open as I was mobile but they still had no extension. I had to guess what file extension they were in order to then review color forms sent by Beth; I would have to download them to my computer and change the file type manually - as it's not something feasible on Mobile. It's not my job to be IT support for this company. Stanley the "Project Manager" who showed up day one then never again, and was not familiar with my project, colors, or anything that had been discussed or asked before. The color diagram I created and emailed to Beth he didn't have. Questions I asked Beth that she said he would answer, but he didn't. He strongly recommended, saying it would be better for the crew due to the heat, that the drip cap for the roof was painted, and that the hardware would not be painted. He stated that this would ensure a better outcome for everyone because of the heat and less labor. It didn't, and I felt pressured by him to make this choice. I didn't see or hear from him again after the first morning, he completely went MIA. I was home everyday, all day, as I work from home. However, the original crew would/could not communicate with me. If you have a Spanish-speaking only crew that is fine, but there needs to be a bilingual adult employed by Alliance to act as liaison. I got texted to unlock a door I had already told them repeatedly was left unlocked so they could open it, and so they could come inside to cool down and use the downstairs restroom. This original crew consisted of Emmanuel, his VERY young daughter, and two other young men who did not appear to know what they were doing. Emmanuel had to show them how to operate the spray washer day 1. I had neighbors mention the little girl, and make comments about child labor to me. I asked Michelle about her age and was told she had worked for Alliance for years, they got this question A LOT, and she had just recently graduated high school. Which I found concerning because if she had just graduated that meant she was still probably only 17 or 18. I understand going to work with your parents because there isn't childcare, I was one of those kids that went to work too. However I don't want some inexperienced child painting my house; it's unprofessional and embarrassing. Multiple neighbors mentioned seeing a child working on my house. The original crew cut a lot of corners. I attempted to contact Alliance and sent messages stating things that were missed (edges, corners, missing caulk seams, sloppy application, etc.) and was assured "they would get that" over text message. No Project Manager or Manager ever came out during the process to oversee what had been done, that prep was done correctly, or that the plan was being followed. After the first crew botched our house exterior, it took me calling and texting multiple times to have someone even get in contact to schedule with me when to do a walk through. This was everything from bad/uneven coverage, messy caulk lines that didn't match the paint line, bricks, gutters, and plants weren't covered or protected beforehand. The first crew repeatedly left paint cans open and unattended while they left my house and required me to go cover them up once I noticed. This was witnessed by the GM Michelle that paint cans were left open while the crew was MIA. She would not acknowledge it even after I voiced it to her and sent a message about it. Michelle, a "general Manager", came out but didn't see issues with the paint job till I started having to point them out to her. She didn't have the correct color form with her as she was purchasing more stain, I heard her say the wrong stain color name to buy so I corrected her, and she was adamant she had the right colors. She showed me a color form with tan, brown, and red, and told me that this is what I approved, but the color form wasn't mine. I had to point to the colors on the form and restate that the form she had was not mine. She then was able to find my paperwork in her car. While not a big deal, her attitude set the tone. This manager wanted to chit-chat, but when it came to the actual work was confrontational. I had to point out everything, if I didn't point to it specifically they magically didn't see any issue with it: such as the door sweep bondo'ed to the front door, uneven lines, the streaked paint finish of the door, drips down shutters, and the interior sides of objects being completely skipped because they weren't visible from the street only from indoors so they were skipped, and multiple other issues resulting from a fast and sloppy job. I provided pictures of this to Michelle. On the West side of the house where a piece of siding was supposed to be replaced there were seams on the sides before it reached the trim that confused me. I asked if there were new seams why they weren't caulked, and pointed to areas around it not sealed. Michelle seemed confused by my question and defended the work, telling me "no that was mortar, you'll need to have someone else fill in the seams with mortar" and there was nothing wrong with it. Additionally, when I showed Michelle that the slate tile top of the shelf by the front door was covered in stain drips I popped a tile up and out to show her the stain on them "well we just didn't know they did that!" she exclaimed. The point is not that the tiles come out, the point is the crew didn't protect the surfaces of the slate or brick before when they were painting. These were eventually cleaned off, but the attitude and excuse really set the tone for how she approached us and the project. My husband and I requested that there be some sort of itemized list for the painters to follow. Michelle was defensive and resistant when I pointed out issues, often making excuses for the improperly done job, or being blasé in saying "the crew will get that" but making no effort to document it or keep track other than marking near it with painters tape. Michelle did not take our request seriously. She often made excuses for the work that had been completed. She said if I could make the list and get it to Emmanuel and her that would be great. I made the list before she left my property and provided it to her via text message and to Emmanuel on paper. Additionally, Emmanuel and his crew repeatedly left paint cans open and unattended while on break or lunch, as she witnessed me covering the paint cans up myself while the crew was gone but didn't acknowledge it even when I voiced it to her as a concern. It is not my job to be your company's quality control or project manager. What is the point of the walk through or having a manager if I as the customer am doing that job? Attempt two of the house paintings was better, but there were still the same places not painted, missed, or completely not prepped and painted over peeling paint. We still have multiple areas of peeling paint edges because they were not prepped beforehand. By this point the shutters and wood have been painted so many times over that the semi-solid stain is a thick opaque paint with uneven, drippy, coverage. When Emmanuel told me he was leaving for the day and wanted me to take a look, I asked him to fix additional spots and he hastily slapped paint on a few spots on the fence as if that was the fix. I told him we would look at it when it was dry as it was already close to 7 pm. After this, Michelle and another associate came by to review the work done without the crew as planned. Michelle apologized for the poor work that was done by Emmanuel, that it was out of his character. I was informed by Michelle that Emmanuel would not be painting with Alliance any more. Michelle apologized for Alliance and Emmanuel "dropping the ball". I said it must be the heat and she said "no this was something else.'' but didn't elaborate. She also said she thought we were being taken care of but weren't and she didn't know. I was promised a new crew of "two brothers" by Michelle. However, lack of knowledge on how things should be done correctly by the Alliance team led me to have to research how to do the job myself instead in order to explain how things should be properly fixed. I again cataloged and made a list of things that needed to be remedied and this time attached an image for each line item and sent it via text to Michelle the night before meeting with the new crew for painting number attempt three. I also requested images of the chimney, but they were not provided to me at this time. The second crew and the third attempt were better, the day they came out it was three men. They were courteous and seemed motivated. They were able to identify that the siding piece on the West side of the house had not been replaced with an actual piece of Hardie Board, but had instead been replaced with some other lap board that ended before reaching the trim edge, so that it was short by about 4" on both sides. When looking at the West side of the house I pointed out the peeling edges of paint on the lap boards and in between them. I also pointed out that the paint finish was wavy and mottled. Michelle dismissed my complaint by saying "paint peels and cracks" and would not listen to me. The paint was peeling here before the paint project started, part of why we had the whole house repainted, which tells me it was never prepared by the first Alliance crew properly to begin with. I asked if it was going to be at least cleaned or prepped and Michelle said "no they will not be pressure washing" and cutting me off. This made me hesitant to even voice anything related to the project with her because she would just snap at me and dismiss it. After the third paint attempt with the second crew, they were nice and worked on the major trouble areas. Jimmy from the second crew spoke with me and understood the mottled finish issue on the West side siding and was able to get a smoother finish on it. However now there's a line where you can see it was resprayed on the bottom that runs parallel below a lap seam - this line faded a little, we hope it continues to. Unfortunately the second crew was unable to clean off a lot of the excess paint from the previous crew on the shutter hardware and as a result had to paint them all black. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem Michelle passed on the itemized list to the new crew, so things were missed again. It's better, but not right. It looked a lot better when the second crew finished late that day. We still have areas that are not up to par, such as the front door, west side siding, south side shutter sills. I waited this time for someone at Alliance to reach out and schedule which didn't happen till after the weekend. At the last walk through I had to again request images of the chimney and the install that were promised to me. Only when I asked did the second crew get up on the chimney and start caulking areas that had been missed by the first crew. During the walkthrough Michelle did not care to check the itemized list and correlating images provided to her, all she did was a cursory look around the property and see if I pointed out anything new. She would walk away while I was attempting to review the list of past issues I had made and leave me pointing out issues to no one. I was curious if she would actually clock issues and act as quality control, but she did not. It seemed to me she did not care. She seemed eager to get me to pay and then leave ASAP. I asked a question about putting the gutters up when the paint would be CURED and she repeated "the paint is dry it dries in a day or two", cutting me off and not listening to my question. We honestly gave up trying with General Manager Michelle after requesting multiple times for things to be fixed, and providing an itemized list with photos. At the time I hadn't had the time to get out on the roof myself to verify the North side of the house, but it looked better from the ground as they had removed the globs of caulking left by the previous crew. When I did go out on the roof, there was patchy paint coverage and places where the paint is speckled and flaking off. If we keep listing it and telling them in person, and it doesn't get done, well it seems like Alliance Painting must obviously not care about it, or THIS is the standard. I now believe that the good reviews are either bots, paid for, or are likely unsuspecting customers being scammed and just haven't caught the short cuts yet. I have never in my life thought I would have construction products and materials skimped on - like with the Hardie Board not actually being replaced per contract the first time. And now my main worry besides the poor quality finish is that I could find out that other products used by your company on my project were counterfeit or switched out, like with the Hardie Board siding replacement. As I mentioned above, Daniel called me August 16th. As mentioned before, he said he called to apologize and said that he would pass on what I said to the owner Ryan. I told him I also emailed Ryan about this. He said I would probably hear back sometime that week or the next week from him. He vaguely explained a bit more about what was going on with the first crew and original project manager Stanley. He said that they got rid of the first crew with Emmanuel because they were leaving job sites to work on other houses for other people around the area and taking cash on the side. Daniel said this is why Emmanuel and that crew kept leaving. He also said that Stanley had "one foot out the door" and so that was probably why no one was here to check in on the house because he had been looking for another job and didn't care. This doesn't make me feel better, it just makes me upset that they knew this was going on and let it happen anyway. They had the audacity to act like it was a problem that we had issues with the paint job."
