Contracted with the Green Future team for a multi-phased project back in 2024. After getting HOA and County approval for the project, Phase I - one leaning tree was removed from the front yard and 8-9 trees were removed from our backyard. The trees in the backyard were removed to make way for Phase II which was the building of a deck and screened in porch. The project started off a little slow as they are in high-demand but once the GF team got going, everything went smoothly, the craftsmanship and quality of the work was top notch, and they took care of the permit and inspection process with the County. The work from the GF team was impressive from the screened in porch with remote ceiling fan and door to the deck and bump out that was a perfect fit for my grill. We had stair lights added for aesthetics. The team, Anthony Martone (Project Mgr.) Walter Rivas (Construction Mgr.)., Alicia Belville (Design Center Specialist), and their crew were all very pleasant and professional to work with. We are actually doing Phases III and IV with them now that includes pavers under the deck/porch and grading/reseeding of the area where the trees were cleared out in the backyard just off of the deck. The only negative if you want to call it a negative, is that they get very busy in the spring and summer because they do great work. So, if you want high-quality work done, you better book them now! They will be our go-to team for any future projects we have. #professional #qualitycraftsmanship #topnotch #repeatcustomer #happyhomeowner

Green Future and Tommy in particular were very easy to work with. We went through several designs and options for materials and worked out the best options for our budget. We’re looking forward to using our new patio and resurfaced deck for years to come!

Another wonderful backyard project from Green Future. My replacement deck is gorgeous and I’m getting so many compliments. Looking forward to finishing the landscaping as the spring plants arrive. Wonderful to work with Anthony Martone and Walter Rivas, both so responsive and helpful. Shoutout to carpenter Jose and his crew (who worked long hours during some very cold winter days), electrician Carlos and his partner whose name I didn’t get. Shoutout to Joe the plumber and Alicia at the showroom.

Update: Updating my review to say stay far away from this company. I had hoped once we moved past the permitting process that construction would go more smoothly, but it’s been nothing but headaches for the past 6 weeks. The PM was barely involved, so the construction workers had barely any direction and made tons of mistakes. We had to return early from our trip to oversee the work. Now we have a stop work order on our property because they didn’t get the right permits and the main entrance to our home is all torn up. The city is telling us it could be another month until that issue is resolved. Could never ever recommend this company to anybody. Original review: We contracted with Green Future back in March for our hardscape project in DC. I wish we could go back in time and avoid this company. We are still stuck in the permitting process, and we can’t get a straight answer of what’s going on. The communications have been confusing, and at times, straight up unprofessional. I have genuinely wondered if this is an elaborate scam. Maybe their actual construction work is good quality but at this rate, I’m doubtful we’ll ever be able to find out.

I hired this company to regrade around my shed, replace an old wood deck with composite, and install pavers with a fire pit. The experience was frustrating from day one. A crew member tossed cigarette butts into my bushes—caught on my security camera. I reported it, and while the project manager apologized, that set the tone for what followed: poor communication, sloppy work, and disregard for my property. The deck didn’t line up with the pavers/basement wall as promised. I warned them early, but they ignored it. Worse, I discovered they reused painted wood from my old deck in the new build—clearly trying to cut corners. After I confronted them, they agreed to fix it. Reviewing security footage, I found that one worker brought his wife and three kids (one looked about 5 years old) to help with demolition removal. I raised serious concerns about safety and liability. The company gave vague reassurances but offered no real accountability. During a return visit, their carpenter admitted to hitting my mailbox—he waited until he was leaving to tell me. Security footage showed him knocking it over and dragging it under his van before screwing it back onto the post. It’s still damaged. They tried to regrade several times with just a guy and a shovel, despite our agreement that the job required heavy equipment due to nearby tree roots. Only after repeated complaints did they finally bring a bobcat to finish the work properly. The deck was eventually extended but still came up short on one side. For nearly $40,000 in grading, pavers and a significant deck project, I expected professionalism. Instead, I got cut corners, damage to my property, child labor concerns, poor oversight, and repeated failures to meet clear agreements. I absolutely do not recommend this company.
