Moving from Duration-Based to Qualitative Billing

Overview

Best Pick Reports is transitioning all customers from duration-based to qualitative billing beginning in 2026. This shift means customers will only pay for leads matching their selected categories and service areas, rather than all calls exceeding 30 seconds.

Key Changes

Duration-Based System (Current): Billing applies to any call lasting over 30 seconds.

Qualitative System (New): Billing applies only to leads meeting specific criteria:

  • Communication with homeowner or authorized decision-maker
  • Residential service requests
  • Property location within specified territory
  • Services match contracted categories

Scheduled appointments remain billable under both systems.

Important Note on Missed Calls

Missed calls are still billable because lead quality cannot be assessed without answered calls. Customers concerned about this can explore the Answering Service option.

Expected Impact

While customers may receive fewer billable leads overall, the quality improves since billing focuses on customers ready to book. This may increase cost-per-lead, but represents stronger business prospects.

Dispute Process

Customers can dispute leads through the EverConnect Portal within 7 days of receipt. Duplicate calls within 14 days aren't billable. Missed calls cannot be disputed.
