How Company Scores Are Calculated

Best Pick Reports uses consumer feedback and due diligence to determine company qualification status.

Qualification Rating Basis

A company’s qualification rating is based on either Google reviews or Best Pick Reports survey data collected over the previous three years.

Qualification Options

Companies can achieve Best Pick status through one of two paths:

Option 1 — Google Reviews

  • 3-year rating of 4.0 or higher
  • Minimum of 25 Google reviews

Option 2 — Survey Data

  • At least 80 percent of recent customers contacted during research must report satisfaction.
  • The Overall Satisfaction scores of all reviews are averaged together to determine the qualification rating.

Initial Qualification Requirements

If minimum Google review thresholds aren’t met, companies must submit customer lists for internal research via email and phone surveys.

Ongoing Maintenance

Each year, Best Pick Reports reviews a company’s Google review data or survey data and determines qualification status based on its current 3-year rating. Companies that continue to meet the qualification requirements maintain their Best Pick status.
