How the Program Works
Qualification Criteria
Companies seeking Best Pick certification must meet specific qualification criteria. The initial assessment analyzes Google reviews, requiring:
- An overall 4.0 or greater Google rating over three years
- A minimum of 25 Google reviews (15 upon annual renewal) for the primary service category; 10 reviews minimum for additional categories
For companies below the review threshold, we will ask you to submit a list of customer names for internal research. We conduct internal research via email (preferred) and/or phone surveys with your customers.
Verification Requirements
During qualification, Best Pick Reports verifies:
- Service area alignment with guidebook distribution maps
- Advertising of qualifying service categories
- Good financial standing
- Active status with the Secretary of State
- Active general liability insurance policy
- Active workers' compensation insurance (where required)
- Active state-required trade licenses
Once certified, companies are featured in printed guides, bestpickreports.com, and the Best Pick mobile app.
