“We have utilized Shirey Home Pro for several projects in our home. Fixing dry rot in a window sill, helping with crank windows that weren't working, garage storage installation, hanging pendants & wall lights, doors that wouldn't close, garage door help, to name a few. Each of the people we worked starting with Ashley to answer all my questions and schedule to Rich, Randy and Victor - have all been so professional and easy to work with and willing to explain everything and follow through. “They gave us a quote, and when the work was done, we paid twice as much. The guy that did the work, barely showed up. They billed us for eight hours a day, and he only showed up for a few hours a day. There were two days when he didn't show up or call. We called and told them, and they apologized and said it wouldn't happen again. They charged us $1,800 for supplies, when we provided all the supplies for them. We provided the grout, tile, drywall, cement board, and they still charged us for supplies.”

“Unfortunately, the Remodel Coordinator I was working with left literally in the middle of the day. I had multiple house projects we were getting quotes when one of their Project/Service Coordinators started answering my emails. At the beginning she mentioned "there has been some turnover (more than normal) on the project coordinator job", but I figured it couldn't be that hard to continue nailing down the work details. Unfortunately, she did not like when I asked detailed questions :( When I asked for the specific products that were included in the electrical quotes, she said she didn't know. I asked her to find out and then she sent me screenshots of the products she thought they were. Worst of all, after multiple back and forth, she suggested that I just commit to scheduling the work without knowing any of the details. I wasn't about to commit to $10k of electrical work without knowing what I was getting or how much more I would have to spend on drywall clean-up. She never followed-up after I told her I needed to understand what products were being used and what the potential drywall costs would be, so I took my business elsewhere. Overall, they completed a $3k shed re-build for me, but lost out on a total $30k of projects.”

“Everyone involved in the work on the remodel was attentive to making each detail the best it could be. I would tell my friend to check all the forms and such for accuracy, though, since I experienced a few perplexing lapses in that regard. I also had poor rapport with the designer. All in all, though, this endless remodel is proceeding with excellent communication and evident attention to meeting budgetary limits where possible.”

“The first job was to replace a small section of outside fascia where the roof meets the side of the house that had rotted. In the course of making the repair the technician, Aaron, broke a window panel that is part of a large greenhouse window. The repair cost $900 if memory serves. You were willing to pay only half. I allowed Aaron to proceed with the second repair, replacing about 100 sq feet of weathered cedar siding. The problem with that job was that he bought way more material than needed because he misunderstood what needed replacing. This was unfortunate because the ship lapped siding was a custom mill run which made it expensive and this was also at a time when lumber prices were very high, thus further increasing the cost. The reason I didn't give you fewer "stars" is because you had done two jobs for me in the past and both were perfectly satisfactory. This one obviously wasn't.”

“I definetely do not recommend this company, at all. There was a lot of discrepency with the amont of how much they were going to charge me. They didn't actually end up charging my debit card until months after the work was done and there was no communication between us concerning the payment. I just happened to notice that the payment was taken out months later. I contacted them to find out why it was way higher than what they quoted me and, of course, I didn't get it resolved. I do not recommend them at all. Not to mention, the work was a little shotty as well.”

“I had a garbage disposal replaced and the bill was outrageous! The person that replaced the unit had to go to The Home Depot twice because he bought the wrong one the first time. Then they charged me for both trips and the extra hours it took him to make the trips. Horrible experience. I have other larger, projects that need to be done but I will NOT be using Shirey.”

“The workman who arrived to complete the project determined that it was not necessary. Because there was a minimum charge for his coming to my house, he stayed and took care of two other issues that needed attention. This is unusual and terrific customer service.”
