Recently I had my roof replaced with True Blue Roofing, and I can confidently say they did an outstanding job. From start to finish everything was handled professionally and exactly how I asked. I upgraded from the builder-grade OSB 7/16” (oatmeal) to 3/4” CDX plywood, and chose GAF Timberline UHDZ shingles with the full 50-year Golden Pledge warranty. They also installed Tiger Paw underlayment and Ice & Water Shield. Basically, the best materials available — and they delivered! Special thanks to Dan, who patiently consulted with me and helped me decide on the best roof system for my home. Also huge appreciation to Denis and his crew, who worked fast, clean, and very professionally — they practically replaced the entire roof in just 2 days. The result looks amazing and gives me real peace of mind for decades to come. Highly recommended!

**For clarity, several statements in the response are not accurate. The project had multiple failed inspection items that required correction, including siding clearance, trim clearance, exposed wood protection, and sealing/caulking. The inspection had not passed when the concerns in my review were raised and requires a reinspection. The claim that more than 30 trips were made to address concerns does not match my records. Most site visits were related to scheduled work, material delivery, or work item completion. Only a small number were specifically for addressing workmanship concerns that had been raised. The additional contractor was not hired to inspect or review True Blue’s work. They were hired to perform separate work outside the scope of my contract with True Blue. During that process, additional workmanship concerns were identified. I did not request a “substantial reduction” in the contract amount. After months of unresolved issues, delays, and repeated requests for documentation, I requested a credit reflecting the cost of correcting outstanding items. The final amount was negotiated directly with True Blue. My review reflects my experience and the documented history of the project.** Extremely frustrating experience. The project involved siding, fascia, gutters, and roof repair, and we ran into repeated workmanship and communication issues throughout the process. A subcontractor they attempted to use had an expired Washington contractor license and invalid insurance documentation, which I had to discover and verify myself. Multiple inspection items later failed and required several return trips for corrections. Communication was inconsistent and concerns were often ignored or only partially addressed. Several cosmetic and workmanship issues were also left unresolved or minimized. Throughout the project, I felt I had to act as my own project manager—verifying subcontractor credentials, documenting deficiencies, coordinating inspection issues, and repeatedly following up on unresolved concerns. By the end of the project, I had lost confidence in the company’s ability to identify and correct problems on its own and brought in another contractor to address remaining issues. I would strongly recommend thoroughly verifying all subcontractors, permits, inspection requirements, and contract terms before hiring.

Dan came by to give us a quote on a new roof for our ~2500sq ft rambler. He was on time, professional, and had tons of knowledge regarding different types of roofing. He walked us through the companies online L&I information, which I loved because I want to support companies that take care of their workers - providing opportunities for them to became masters of their craft. As first time homeowners there's always a sticker shock with the price of a new roof, but with True Blue providing financing at better rates then the banks, it helped solidify our decision to go with them, along with the warranty attached. If you're looking at having to get a new roof for what is arguably everyone's biggest investment, I would highly recommend them.
