We recently hired American Contractors for a roof repair and fascia board replacement and the experience exceeded our expectations. We worked with Omar Rivera for the roof repair and estimate. Omar was incredibly thorough. He didn't just give us a quote, but also recommended which options provide the best value to us. His pricing was great. His expertise was showed during the repair. Not only completing the contracted repairs, Omar identified several vulnerable areas that could have caused leaks in the future and sealed them on the spot. He was responsive and addressed our concerns thoroughly. Omar Martinez handled the replacement of our rotten wood fascia. We had a significant hole in the wood, and he replaced it entirely with high-quality PVC. The craftsmanship is so precise that the new PVC looks like one continuous, original piece of the house. It looks brand new. Both technicians demonstrated a level of professionalism that went well beyond our expectations. If you're looking for a team that is honest, detailed-oriented, and goes extra mile to protect your home, I highly recommend them for your next roofing and fascia project.

We choose American Home Contractors to clean and adjust our gutters. It was an excellent choice. Miguel our technician was very knowledgeable, thorough and polite. He first explained everything he was going to do, and asked if I had any question before he began his work. He took pictures of everything he encountered and explained his work to me after he was finished. A terrific young man, and I would highly recommended his work to anyone.

UPDATE: After my review below, the new owner of AHC reached out to me to address my concerns. He was very open and honest with me and agreed that the work performed by the prior ownership/staff was not up to his standards. His team came out to assess the state of my roof and performed the remediation of the flashing and drip edge. This was a welcome suprise for me and I believe that the new owner (Nick) cares about his customers much more that the prior ownership. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH American Home Contractors (AHC). Similar to other negative reviews, we had our roof replaced by AHC. We settled on using AHC based on their status as an “elite installer” by the shingle manufacturer, GAF. Their salesman (Tyler) made numerous promises and we were very thorough in documenting everything to be done, including sheathing repair and proper flashing installation. In summary, AHC did one of the worst roofing and flashing jobs I have ever seen on my home (note: I grew up in a construction family). We contacted the manufacturer GAF to file a claim shortly after the install date and GAF sent out a claims inspector. The inspector explained that it was one of the worst jobs he had ever seen in the Northern VA area. He provided AHC with a punch list that they needed to be remediated immediately. Despite my reluctance to let them complete the repairs, GAF explained that the initial installer needed to do the repairs, so I agreed. Well, AHC refused to complete some of the repairs noted by GAF, mainly the rear flashing on the back of my home. Then, they told GAF that they did, in fact, replace the flashing, BUT THEY DID NOT! We explained that we have photographic evidence to prove that the flashing was never repaired and brought up to the GAF standard. We have had a leaking roof for quite some time after the repairs and are left to find another company to make the repairs. Below are some photos of their shotty work along with the punch list from GAF citing their deficiencies. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS. DON’T LET THEIR GOOD REVIEWS FOOL YOU LIKE THEY DID TO ME!

Omar provided outstanding customer service from start to finish. He was professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything clearly before and during the roof tune-up. He arrived on time, worked efficiently, and completed the job with great care and attention to detail. It was clear he takes pride in his work and is committed to doing things the right way. Overall, the experience was smooth and stress-free. Omar’s thoroughness and friendly, respectful attitude really stood out. Omar and Miguel did a great job on our roof and gutter tune up. They were very helpful in pointing out issues with the roof, showing photos of all their work. And did a great job cleaning up yard after work. Very professional.
