This is an update of a previous review. I give the Gutter Helmet product 5 stars. The warranty/support is 2-3 stars, and their AI agent 0 stars. I have had Gutter Helmet since 2002, and have been the biggest cheerleader for the product, which is excellent. I do the yearly cleaning maintenance, no problem. Recently I've had some problems with the Gutter Helmet not draining right, and some drywall damage in my living room. I first called in May and got an appointment. The person they sent out was really pushy about me buying new gutters, and not so much about servicing the existing ones. He took no notes and submitted nothing to Support, and didn't respond to me after the appointment. I called Support to get a service appointment, but since he hadn't submitted anything, they had no record and couldn't give me an appointment. It took quite a while before I got an appointment. Also, calling and speaking to their AI Agent is useless - you'll get no response from that -- I think everything goes into a black hole! I finally got to speak to someone who was helpful, but said I had to get their Pollen Clean service for $185 to get my gutters serviced at all. I agreed, paid, and finally got an appointment. I don't have a problem with paying for this service, especially with the age of my gutters. It was just so difficult to get a response and appointment at all, mostly because the guy who came out didn't follow up. (Note-- none of this could have been done with an AI agent!) The Gutter Helmet service guys showed up today, checked everything inside the gutters, found and fixed the issues, and reinstalled them. Took about 1 hour. They did a great job, and I am sure that when the next rainstorm happens, the gutters will drain fine. I love the product, but the person they sent out originally was not service-oriented at all (kind of a pushy sales guy). I first contacted GH in May and finally got an appointment for late August -- so it took 3 months, most of it waiting for the first service guy to submit notes that he didn't take down, or to follow up at all. I really had to push to get support at all. It shouldn't be like that! Gutter Helmet has a great product, and it would be wonderful if their support was more responsive and timely. These days, great support would set them apart from any other competitors.

We. Bought our system 10 years + best thing I did since I couldn't do the ladders anymore, great product good installers, Harry guaranteed it for life, wrong my basement has been flooding because of a bird got inside their system and built a nest , guaranteed not to happen, they always responded and fixed the problems fast, no questions asked, now where are they, gutter helmet sent out an inspector to look at the problem , he agreed its covered and will be taken care of, 3 months later I call and they tell me nothing can be done without paying a $50.00 fee to initiate a repair ticket. They started doing in 2023, hello my system was installed before 2023, guaranteed for life , they are tell me to find my contract and prove it to them, I was told when Harry was there don't worry we can tell it's are system , and it's covered for the life of the house. So back up your words , you are not concerned about the damage it's causing for a 6 month response, don't buy the product for the guarantees because they are lying to the public. When properly installed it's as good as the rest if not better until the warranty fails

Poor follow up on warranty repairs .. our harry helmet has blown off our roof twice now.. lifted in many places... still waiting for Chad to get our helmet finally done correctly after 3 years .. the initial install was extremely sloppy.. we had problems immediately.. they've been back 5 times over the past 3 years and we're still having problems.. Vince McNaulty should be ashamed he sells folks on such poor installations.. these guys want to reuse panel sections that have literally ripped off our roof and are damaged??? Where is our 100 mph wind guarantee?? 22 inches of rain per hour will NOT flow into the gutter if a 50 mph wind gusts can blow your panels off the home and into your neighbor's back yard.. not once.. not twice.. but what 3 times?? We are totally embarrassed by having stuff blow off our home under such circumstances.. all our cheap plastic shutters are still attached but this high end metal goes sailing several times ... I personally would NOT recommend from our experience.. will post photos soon. Very embarrassed for this so called professional outfit. Update 4/10/2020 ... once again ... these helmet panels blew off... Update 4/25/2020 The panels were replaced and to be honest.. it finally appears as though the install is correct to my eye based on other installs. We shall see. Raised grade to 3 stars.

I had my roof replaced by Lednor / Harry Helmet in 2017, and the roof began leaking afterward in several areas (2018, 2020, and 2024). Before their replacement, the roof had never leaked. After months of communication, the company eventually agreed to reimburse $1,000 for part of the damage. I was then sent a lengthy “Customer Release” that asked me to waive all current and future claims, warranty rights, and even remove or rewrite any public reviews. For a $1,000 reimbursement, that document was far too overreaching. I declined to sign it and asked that the company simply process the payment without the unnecessary paperwork. Unfortunately, I am still out $1,500 for the porch/sunroom damage, which the company has refused to address in good faith, citing that the issue is now outside the statute of limitations even though all the leaks stem from the same roof installation. The communication throughout this process was slow, and the settlement form was unreasonable for such a small reimbursement. I hope the company reviews its customer-service practices so other homeowners aren’t left covering damages or pressured to sign away their rights just to receive modest compensation.

I am writing to share an update on my experience with Gutter Helmet. My initial review noted significant communication issues, specifically regarding upfront "warranty transfer fees" and a deposit for work that was not being scheduled. Following that initial post, the company reached out to schedule and complete the installation. While the final product is acceptable, I am disappointed that the new guards do not match the shape of my existing ones. Furthermore, despite a promise in the initial quote to repair dents on one section, the installer failed to address them. Overall, the process was frustrating, and the final quality did not fully meet the expectations set during the quoting process.
