We were having issues with our old gutter helmet system getting clogged, so decided to change over to Leaf Filter. The product was installed in early September. Instead of being removed, the old gutter helmet system was sawed off and holes were patched with caulk. It looks horrible and the water now flows over the gutters instead of into them. We immediately were very upset and contacted our sales rep, who directed us to the main office. We have now left several messages with the local office, and have opened a file with the regional office. We have yet to receive a single callback. We thought we were upgrading and making our lives easier, but instead we have a product that is not only unattractive but is also putting us at risk for damage to our roof and foundation and no one from Leaf Filter has even responded to our many attempts to reconcile this. Unfortunately our only remaining option seems to be arbitration or small claims court. Do not do business with this company. They are quick to tell you all the benefits of their product but if you have any concerns they are entirely unresponsive.

I like the product but it’s not performing as the sales rep stated it would. I had water seep into my basement due to not having long enough downspout extensions. I asked the crew if it was long enough, they said yes. Clearly not. There’s a tech here right now to adjust for the second time. It should have been done right in the first place. I also should not have had to purchase on my own extensions for them, the techs should have seen I had long ones on my old gutters and installed additional extensions. Communication is abysmal, I called the local office multiple times and nobody picks up. Called the national office, they pick up and talk to me, but for any of the actual work, communication needs to get back to local office. I’ve requested multiple times for a phone call from a manager, but it doesn’t come. Today I requested an email but I’m not confident it will actually happen. I requested multiple times for a callback from a manager to discuss warranty options, it’s been a week and I just called back today. They said someone will be reaching out, we’ll see if it actually happens. Initially, a rep said that I couldn’t claim warranty because of natural causes, tree debris on the filter causing overflow — isn’t your product supposed to prevent overflow in the first place, having the rain get the debris to go over? A major part of their marketing materials was “never get on a ladder again”. At this rate, I will have to clean them myself and that defeats the entire purpose of gutter guards. Edit: called back from manager, basically said there was nothing they could do. They are sending out 6 additional downspout extensions so I can return the ones I purchased, but not able to honor warranty. If your installers installed incorrectly CAUSING WATER IN THE BASEMENT, some compensation should be offered. Working in customer service, I would have at least offered a partial credit. Nothing.

Had the system installed a few years ago. Noticed it leaks every time it rains. Had them come out and found out that the caulking was just blobs and not even at the seams. For the past month I've been trying to get them to come to fix this (as they said they would) and there's no response from the local office. The national office keeps saying they are escalating it to the manager, still no response. Terrible business model and service. Update: Called multiple times and emailed. Still no response from them even though they 'escalated this to their manager.' They can post to contact them, but nothing gets done regardless.

Not a WI Company. I truly want a refund. From soup to nuts truly gross and they don't work well. My basement still floods and I had to wait 3 weeks for the first rain. They lied to our face at the kitchen table. I wanted local. Scott was so rude, invasive and aggressive. I didn't want leaf filter and he pressured my drunk epderly mother into a check. We didn't get the correct color and the spouts don't stay on bc they didn't think I need brackets. The installation team were nice but smoking e-vapes the whole time so I don't know if they were sober or if it was nicotine. That's scary when they're on your roof to watch. I am not impressed and they are not a Wisconsin company so that was false advertising too like my colored gutters that stay on. Bad buy all day long.

I had gutter covers installed a year or so ago. This is what they look like now. I will have to hire someone to clean the gutter covers. For what I paid for these covers I could have paid for many years of gutter cleaning. Here's my take on gutter covers: Skip them and put the money towards having the gutters cleaned at whatever frequency is appropriate.
