Two months after getting the leaf filter installed on my home, it was brought to my attention one day during a crazy heavy rain storm during the day time that a significant amount of water was spouting out from the second floor gutter ledge in a way that was absolutely not happening before the filter was installed. There were also clear cracks in the downspout that weren't repaired during installation and areas where the 50 year silicone seal was never applied-- as seen in the video. When they had someone come out to evaluate the gutter, downspout, and leaks, I was told that because my actual signed contract did not specifically state that damaged gutters and downspouts were to be repaired in the "description of the work to be completed" section, that it would not be covered under the warranty, and I was given a $600 quote if I wanted to get it fixed; even though I had already invested a little over 9k for the overall investment and despite the fact that their flyer specifically states that they "repair damaged gutters and downspouts" as something that is "included in your investment". I was livid, more so because during the sales pitch, I was specifically told I would "never have to worry about cleaning or leaking gutters ever again" Luckily, I was able to speak directly to the manager for my area, Kent, and he was EXTREMELY helpful and delivered exceptional customer service! I would personally give him five stars! He was SO understanding of my situation and frustrations, and he was able to move forward with getting the repairs completed for me with no additional fees. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the man who came out and actually completed the repairs, but I would give him 5 stars too! The downspout was thoroughly repaired and sealed into the lower part of the gutter properly, and there are no more leaks at all! The man did a great job! My gutters and downspouts are all functioning normally now as they should-- as seen in the after-repair video. Although I had a great experience with getting the issue resolved in a timely manner and am truly grateful for the service I received from Kent and the end result, I'm only giving a 4 star rating. I like the product itself, but I do think the filter is overpriced. Although it doesn't appear to be an issue right now, I have noticed build-up of roof sediment and shingle granules on top of the filter in a small section that hasn't come off with heavy wind and rain yet-- which might need to be cleared off in the future. (As seen in the video) This defeats the purpose of "never having to worry about cleaning your gutters again", but I'll tackle that issue when/if it really becomes an issue. I like that the warranty is lifetime and transferable, and I feel it does add-value to my home overall, now that everything is flowing properly.

I originally gave a 5 star review but I’ve changed my review to 1 star and would give less if possible. After signing the document, not one phone number worked. I finally got in touch (by texting the confirmation number)and they put me in touch with the head of sales, B. West after I said I was canceling. He said that “tiger stripes” were not covered under warranty as he “mansplained” how gutters and crews work. I was told everyone was a LeafFilter employee however a subcontracted crew came out to install. The guy instantly told me this which is how I know. I asked him again today if he worked for LeafFilter. He said, “no, subcontractor.” And he would give them the check on Monday or Tuesday. I called the salesperson, K. Rider, to let him know. He was surprised to hear about the crew and what I was told about the tiger stripes. I was also told everything would be put back into place. This was not true either. Patio furniture and compost bins were left in the middle of the yard/patio. I do not recommend LeafFilter. Nothing but mistruths from the beginning from the sales department. Hopefully the product works as advertised.

I have had my gutters for a year and a half. For the price they charged I thought it would be high end work done. However, when they installed the gutters they didn’t screw them into the beams of the house. They just screwed into the wood on the side of the house. With the amount of rain we received in a short time they ripped off from the weight. I called to tell them and they wanted to charge me to have someone come out. Not happy and would not recommend.

I installed Leaf Filter on a few gutters and I was not pressured into doing the entire house and they appear to be doing what they were made to do. I the recently called Leaf Filter to have them install the same filters at my daughter's home. They completed the job in one day. They cleaned out the gutters. Reattached a down spout that was not fastened correctly buy the builders, aligned them properly so the rain would be diverted to both down spouts instead of running to just one side, and the workers were great with explaining what they did. Very easy to recommend this company to anyone I see needing their product.

Buyer beware on the warranty. After installation, water started backing up into my soffit and caused a leak that damaged the drywall in my office. When I got on a ladder to investigate, I found the filter screen was buckled in a section, which allowed roof granules and tree debris to build up and form a berm that pushed water back toward the roof instead of into the gutter. I called LeafFilter expecting the warranty to cover this. It does not. The warranty only covers debris that gets inside the gutter. If debris sits on top of the screen and causes water damage, that is apparently not their problem. They offered to send someone out, but just the service call was $125. So I am fixing it myself. Think about that for a second. The whole point of the product is to keep debris out of the gutter. It does that, which means debris never gets inside, which means the warranty is essentially never triggered, even when the debris on top is causing real water damage to your home. It does work for leaves. But the screen will clog with fine debris like roof granules and small organic material over time, and when it does, water will pour over the top or back toward your roof. You will need to brush the tops off regularly with a pole brush or you will end up in my situation. Hope this saves someone else the headache.
