Alex was great! He fixed our garage door issue and didn’t push any sales on me after I made it clear we were just looking to have the issue repaired. I have no complaints about him at all. The reason for 3 stars is the overall experience with the company. I scheduled the service, they cancelled and rescheduled, then cancelled and rescheduled again for a week later. Then after the $178 (reasonable) repair was completed, they put 3 large red advertising stickers on our existing garage door and equipment. One small service sticker on the garage door would be completely understandable and pretty standard. But they put a large one on the garage door opener box (which is out of reach), another on the garage door, and another above the garage door. I could maybe understand this a little more if they had installed the door and opener, although 3 would still be excessive. But putting your advertising all over someone’s existing equipment after a $178 repair is obnoxious. We were told our garage door is getting older and will likely need replacement in the not-too-distant future. Unfortunately, this experience makes it unlikely we’ll use A1 for that replacement. Again, I don’t blame Alex. He was great. This seems to be a company practice, and I’m just not a fan of having large advertisements stuck all over my property after paying for a repair.

Benedict did an exceptional job servicing our garage door! He performed a comprehensive tune-up and replaced a broken hinge, and his attention to detail was top-notch. Nick was awesome. He was patient as O explained our situation, and why we wanted him out there. He was knowledgeable with what I wanted and thoroughly explained his results without being “pushy”. Only knock on A1, not Nick, would be ask for deposits for future work, but billing did not put on invoice. When Nick called to follow up, he got, and I heard I had credit in my account, but without a receipt/invoice I could see myself being worried.

We had a wonderful experience with Alex! Our garage door has been making strange noises for quite sometime now so we decided it was time to call a professional. Alex was able to quickly diagnose what was wrong and presented us with options for next steps. He did not pressure us into a specific solution but provided us with the facts so we could make an informed decision. He was very communicative and easy to understand. Of course, during the course of the project, additional issues were discovered. He explained each issue as it came up and showed us what was going on so we could remained informed. I really appreciated that he took the time to make sure we understood everything and didn’t pressure us to do more than we needed to. Our garage door operates SO smoothly now - I didn’t even know a garage door could be so quiet and smooth! I highly recommend A1, and specially Alex, to anyone with garage door issues.
