It was a pleasure working with Ernest Vigil. He came to my house and did a thorough measurement of my crawlspace for the estimate. He was responsive throughout the installation process. On the second day of the job, Ernest called me and informed me that the crew told him his map for the job was inaccurate and they had to dig a lot more which resulted in an additional ~$3,500 cost. Initially he was just going to accept what the crew told him. I told him their explanation didn't make sense, and insisted that he should come over to verify. He came after the crew quit working early on that day, went down to the crawlspace and discovered the crew was digging where they are not supposed to. Then on the fourth day, when I returned from work in the afternoon, the crew was about to leave and told me they had finished everything. I didn't see the new drainage system that was included in the quote so I asked them about this. They said they connected the new sump pump to the old drainage. I remember Ernest told me their company wouldn't use previous systems because you don't know if they still work. So I called Ernest about this. The crew also didn't replace the door which was also included in the quote. I told them about this, they quickly put together a door then left. Fortunately I thought about checking it and discovered all screws were sticking out from the other side of the door with sharp tips (I almost got poked, which was why I noticed it). I told Ernest about this too. He took care of both issues and had the crew come back the next day to fix them. He then came over to inspect the work and took pictures/videos. So now the system seems to be working fine. Attached is the picture Ernest liked the most.

Excellent work to repair our crawlspace! Had to redo the entire space from replacing the sump pump to encapsulating the whole area and Jose and his crew were on time and kept me informed along the way. Finished in only 3 days! Mel was amazing at getting us set up and scheduled since we really needed immediate help. Grateful for their help and support and making the space safe, clean and accessible. Thank you to the Groundworks team!

Efficient work process. Kender, Luis, and Asher worked diligently from arrival to cleanup. Great communication thru the entire process by foreman Kender. All questions answered and everything explained during the process. Met all expectations!

The first schedule changed due to the crew being late and not effectively communicating. Called the office the hour of expected arrival to learn they were running a couple hours late and had to reschedule another day. The lead for that crew showed up on time and completed the work in a timely manner and seemingly good craftsmanship. I am however having a bit of buyers remorse given the routing of the power feeds. I did not realize that this would be as intrusive visually when explained to me the location of the pump which was different than what the salesperson laid out in the drawing. Not blaming Ground Works, just thought there would be one smaller drain pipe up the wall and had no vision of the battery location. That’s on me. But the routing of the wires could and should have been better located out of site. In the end I lost three AC outlets and had to provide an extension chord on my dime. Overall decent work but things could have been much better. Update: Shortly after the completion of the work,Groundworks sent a QA person to have a look. It was agreed that this could have been done differently. We are now working on specifics. The response from Groundworks has been very professional and I have high hopes of quickly having resolution. Update: I was sent a new proposal. It essentially has me paying nearly the same a mount as I originally spent this doubling my cost to have the original issue addressed properly. I feel this has not been dealt with in a customer friendly fashion. When the company rep came out to look over the work the first time, he indicated things should have been done much differently. I am somewhat disappointed. Also, the first real rain came last night and there is still significant water coming into the basement. This should have, I feel, been addressed in a more effective manner. At this point, I will not recommend Groundworks. So, after a couple months of messin about, Groundworks came out and relocated-the channel drain across the garage door threshold. Looks better and performs excellent this far-basement is bone dry! Thank you!

I had 4 companies come out to inspect my sinking foundation. Groundworks stood out by far. Steve was very knowledgeable and very thorough. He found and explained far more issues than others found and gave me a complete picture of what was going on with my house as a whole. Sam and crew came out to lift and stabilize my foundation and replace the supports underneath. Sam was very communicative throughout the process, making sure I informed on everything they were doing and how it would help the house. I was surprised how quickly they worked. After they finished and cleaned up I couldn't even tell they had dug holes to the foundation. Overall great experience.
