I expected for all work to be completed based on the commitment from the time of the appraisal and when the estimate was given. Not all mortar cracks where repaired, wall seam was not sealed, plants and bushes where not planted back right and some died including grass, I had to level the excess dirt and clean dirt on driveway. I researched many companies and even received other estimates from other companies but decided to go with Granite based on the reviews and customer service provided at the time of the appraisal and just wish all work would have been completed as agreed to.”

“I was told that a licensed inspector would come out and do the measurements to make sure that everything was leveled at the house, and in fact an inspector did come through after they did the job and everything, but he basically just came to sign off on what measurements their workers did. I asked the inspector if there would be any possible way he could take measurements and get me a copy of it, just to be on the safe side that my house is level. The inspector said he was not supposed to do any measurements because Granite only paid them to sign off on whatever they did. I was like, 'But you're the licensed engineer. Aren't you supposed to do measurements yourself, and then give me a copy to make sure that the house is leveled the way it should be?' He said, 'I'll take measurements only on where they did the work, and no, I cannot give you a copy of it.' I said, 'Why not?' 'Because Granite is paying me' but I'm like, ‘I'm the customer.’ I had an issue with that. I felt like if he was trying to hide something, but he probably really wasn't. It made me uncomfortable. He told me if I wanted a copy that I needed to ask Granite for a copy, which I did but I didn't ever receive. They just recently came back out because I still hear the cracking noise in my house. Also, the guy that came out to do measurements came out again. He was giving me reasons for everything that wasn't above the level that should have been. I just left it at that. I'm probably going to hire another company to come and do a reading on my foundation just to see if everything is leveled, but other than that, they treat me really very well. I just had an issue with that, basically. They did the work and when they said that they would. They get a B.”
“The work was fine. What they left me with was negative. They did not take away the trash. They messed up my driveway. They just left me with things that was not part of it. The guy who came and sold it to me, that was fine. He was a nice guy, but they only told you the nice things. ‘We'll replace the shrubs and we'll do this and we'll do that.’ Well, they did not do this or do that. I've written and nobody bothered to call me. Their work was fine, and they had good workers. There was nothing wrong with that or what they did. They did not clean up. It's like having five or six little kids here. I was very disappointed with their clean-up work. I wouldn't recommend them without telling somebody, ‘Make sure you're standing there every minute because you're going to have to act like they're five years old and make them clean up.’ I'd give them a B-. I'm really happy with their work. The quality of work was fine. They worked under not really good conditions because it was early spring. They were here. They were punctual. I wouldn't recommend them to a friend that I want to keep without saying you have to make sure you know what they're supposed to do outside when they finish.”
