About this company
"This company started in 1996 with a goal to offer an awesome service experience for my customers and a great place to work for my employees. There are three areas that we focus on to make that happen. We only hire the very best. Your technician is a very courteous, polite, and highly qualified electrician. He has passed our tough background check and drug testing, the type of person that I would feel comfortable having to my home. We believe in giving you an exact straightforward price up front before we do any work. Once you have approved the repair, the price will not change no matter how long the job takes. Your time is valuable, and at Mister Sparky we understand that. That's why we have a specific message: 'We're on Time, You'll See, Or the Repair is Free!' That's the Mister Sparky promise."

Jamal and Irvin came to replace all the electrical sockets and switches in my house. They replaced all the backstabbing installed devices with new hardware and wired them correctly. Both electricians were professional, knowledgeable, efficient, and very pleasant to deal with. AND they cleaned up everything completely before they left. I am very satisfied with the job they did.

Eduardo with Mr Sparky was awesome! Arrived early & was extreme knowledgeable. He did a throughout investigation prior to giving us a quote. Quote was very fair! I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing electrical work .

I am not one to leave bad reviews but I want to prevent this experience from happening to others. I used a device that draws too much power on a outlet without knowing the outlet wasn't rated for that and just wanted someone to come check my wires were not compromised bc it got hot. The serviceman showed up at my door and was asking questions like is there any other homeowner that needs to be here etc. and I'm so tired of people sizing me up and thinking I'm a single idiot that can be taken advantage of. I did my research before inviting an electrician over and talked to other electricians. I just wanted someone to come LOOK at it bc that's what I could not do just by researching and talking to people. When the service guy got here, I restated the issue, said that I know I wasn't supposed to use this outlet for this device, and the man immediately just said that whoever I talked to was incompetent. I had talked to 5 people that said the same thing and even read the fine print in the manual of the device which all said that you aren't supposed to do what I did. So, this advice is not only wrong, but it's dangerous. If there was some thing he was planning to do to make it safe to do something like that, then he should have said that instead of telling me it's just fine to use high powered devices on outlets not rated for them. In addition, I flat out asked for upfront costs on the phone before setting up the appointment. They said there was an 89 dollar service fee which is waived for a promotion and that's it. I was planning to tip the person if it turned out they didn't need to do anything. But as soon as the guy walked in, talked to me for two seconds, insulted everyone I talked to prior, he told me that in order to look at anything I would have to pay nearly $400 for diagnostics alone, even if no fix happens. He also just looked around and said that I need to update all my outlets and switches because they look old and I look like someone who cares about safety and fire hazards. I redirected and said we can talk about that later but right now I just want to know about what happened with THIS outlet/circuit, and he said it will cost $400 as a base fee to just look at it. I said I am not prepared to pay this after the conversation I had on the phone, and then he said we could negotiate maybe, and I said no (why negotiate with someone I don't trust now, even if I do end up needing to change any switches, I want someone else to do it now). So he said ok then just the $89 dollars then. I said no, I was told it is waived for a promotion. So he called his supervisor to confirm it is waived and instead of talking about that service fee being waived like he said, he started talking again about negotiations and trying to get the supervisor to convince me I am in danger if I don't pay 400 dollars for him to do diagnostics and potentially upgrade every switch in my house. I explained to supervisor exactly what I said to the guy, that I am not prepared to do this today after my conversation about upfront costs, I want to decline the service, and he agreed that the service fee is waived so the guy left. The issues I have with this experience is: 1) I am the homeowner. I said that. You don't need to ask for someone else. 2) You should not insult other people's intelligence, research, and experience, if you are trying to offer them a service just to make yourself look more trustworthy and competent. It does the opposite. 3) Nearly $400 for diagnostics when I'm asking about one outlet is nuts especially when I asked for all upfront costs and processes on the phone and wasn't told about this. 4) Telling me without even looking at anything that I need to probably update ALL my hardware is absolutely crazy and using fear tactics to convince me is wrong. 5) Calling your supervisor to try to convince me when you said you are calling to ask if you can waive a service fee is shady. Tell me WHY should I trust you after all this? Stop taking advantage of people. Use someone else.

I am the new homeowner of a 20 year old house which needed an electrical checkup. Noah was great to work with! I shared my concerns and potential project and he listened. His review of the property revealed additional items to be corrected and updated. He showed me the areas and explained the service. We developed a "to do" list which he promptly started worked on and explained as he went. Noah arrived on time his work was neat and he cleaned up as he went. Noah is professional and very polite and I will rely on Mr. Sparky in the future.

Mr. Sparky is Mr. Shady. A typical, a bait and switch. I was told I need a premium re-device for my home. No products they use can be purchased off the shelf, like those at Home Depot. They literally went to Home Depot to get more outlets. Lie number 2 was that the outlets would be pig-tailed; the apprentice working didn't know what a pigtail was, and attaching wire directly was the same thing. So, my $ 13,000 quote was for Apprentices to work - cheap labor at an expensive price. Another shady thing was that my A/C stopped working after they left. The manager said he would call a tech for free, but still charged me a $89 trip fee. Its interesting an electrical company also has One Hour Air. They must have been trying to get even more money out of me. I expressed my concerns to the salesperson, who said he couldn't help me. The boss spoke with me and said they take pride in what they do. Obviously, based on prices. He also said he would call and follow up. Never did. Buyer beware. Bait and switch. Pun intended.
