My furnace died at the start of the January freeze. After doing some basic troubleshooting, I found the disconnect box was totally melted. I initiated a search for highly rated and reputable electricians and found TruTec Electric. Nick called me first thing the following morning and asked me some troubleshooting questions. He told me a tech would be out at 4PM. At 3:50, I received a text that said Stewart would be arriving soon. He was completely professional and explained, in detail, his plan for repair. I also wanted surge protection installed. He left to go buy a new disconnect at Home Depot and upon his return, he brought his colleague, Nikolay, to help expedite the repairs. Bottom line, these two electricians were both very professional, courteous and wanted everything to be safe. They explained and showed me everything they did. Peace of mind was achieved in abundance. The owners of this company obviously know how to run a crew and it shows. Exceptional company!

I found TruTec through Angi while looking for an electrician for a few basic fixes, and they were the first to respond—always a good sign. Setting up the appointment was quick and easy, so we gave them a shot. They sent out their tech, Nikolay, and he showed up right on time (which already puts them ahead of half the competition). We’re in New Braunfels and they’re based out of Austin, so I was half-expecting some kind of delay or excuse—but nope. Smooth and professional from the start. Nikolay was friendly, knowledgeable, and made it clear we were well within their service area. Even better—he knocked out the work faster than expected and at a lower cost than I had budgeted. That almost never happens these days. Bottom line: solid communication, on-time service, quality work, and fair pricing. That’s the kind of outfit you stick with. I’ll absolutely be calling TruTec again and highly recommend them to anyone needing electrical work.

Trutec Electric is staffed with highly experienced, knowledgeable and professional electricians who competently triages your issues, walk you through the project plan, and executes with quality and standards. My personal experience with Stewart and Gabe was excellent from start to finish. Stewart and Gabe were punctual, respectful, and extremely detail-oriented. They took the time to clearly explain the issues, walked me through my options, and made sure I was comfortable with the approach before moving forward. Their workmanship was clean and precise, and they left the space better than they found it. What stood out most was their professionalism and commitment to doing the job right—not just quickly, but safely and up to standard. They were also very responsive to questions and made the entire process stress-free. I would highly recommend Trutec Electric to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality electrical work, and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

Stewart was great during the initial consult, very informative! Hector and his colleague (apologies, I forgot his name! Jacinto?) did an excellent job with the installation. They were thorough, installed the light fixture perfectly, and left everything spotless. Highly recommend.

Nikolay was excellent. He thoroughly diagnosed the issue before coming back with next steps and a set of recommended options. We are always nervous with contractors in my home will do a poor job or over charge and push extra unnecessary services but not TruTec Electric. He simply provided options and an itemized estimate for each service we needed. We've found the company we'll go with for all our electrical needs. Thanks for the awesome service Nikolay!
