“The estimate was off by 1% and the scope of work was incorrectly defined at the outset. Responsiveness to requests for a start date was poor, as was communication throughout. While the work done was well done, the final job had to be renegotiated, with no estimate on increased cost and did not include full repair of patio dug up for the repair.”

They clean up very well so no issues, really. They do a regular check-up which I appreciate. I would give them an A+ so far because I haven't had any issues with them. They're always on time. Their prices are pretty good if not better than most of the competition in this area. Every one of the guys, they've always been nice and clean.”

“They came to help with a mainline sewer backup. The city of Washington DC's sewer backed up and put debris in my mainline. Cropp-Metcalfe came out twice and the first time was fine. They cleared it of the city's debris and made sure it was flowing properly and all that. They said to be on the safe side I should have the line cleaned with this special machine they have. I twice made appointments for them to come with the machine. They twice no-showed without calling me to tell me the machine broke and they couldn't make the appointment so I wasted two days waiting at home for them to come when they missed their appointments. I called them and they said the machine's broken but they didn't bother to call me to tell me. I was furious and I did not hire them to come and finish the job. I'd give them a D.”

“Most recently, Crop Metcalfe was here for plumbing, but they also do our air conditioning and heating. We have a service contract with them. The quality of the work is great. They were recommended by a couple of people, my parents being one of them. We moved into our house, and the system was already installed, but they have installed some additions to the system. Recently, it was a repair—they were unclogging a drain. And they also come, I think it's once a year, to look at all the drains to make sure everything is clearing properly. The technicians were very knowledgeable, and the cleanup was great. They're always very good with keeping clean. They put booties on, and then they clean up afterward. I would say an A grade. All of the work is good, the pricing is reasonable, and they are responsive.”
