Complete disconnect from the customer. Was presented with $17k+ which was presented to the customer as a minor exterior repair of a hair line crack. Well that's not a minor repair, that's a chimney rebuild. Your cost for PCR treatment was 2.5x the national average cost for an excessive cleaning. Lastly you sent a $17k+ estimate without stepping a foot onsite. i have an entire firebox remove and replace, with PCR treatmemt with exterior repair for $12000. Your estimate of $17k + salters firebox estimate totalled $28,000 just to modernize my insert. You, paired with salters, was double the cost for the install, creosote removal and exterior work as what tye compnay i actually hired is charging me. Salters and Chimney Cricket need to pay attention to the customer's needs. Your estimate was predatory and done site unseen. Not only will i never use either company, i will warn others to steer clear if they value their hard earn money. Do better or gwt iut of the busienss.

After months of having heater issues, my HVAC guy suggested I have my chimney looked at because of a possible downdraft causing my heater to shut off. Aaron came 2 weeks ago, did a thorough cleaning and inspection He pointed out issues with my chimney liner, so I went ahead and scheduled for the work. The job wasn't easy, but with a day and a half of not so easy work, Chimney Cricket got it done!! They also kept everything as clean as they possibly could, even tried cleaning my carpet! We had a great experience with Chimney Cricket today! They are our go-to for our fireplace needs. Cory Lotspeich was our hearth technician today and he was excellent. He was friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and had very helpful advice for us. We learn something new about taking care of our fireplace and chimney everytime we get it serviced. Price was very reasonable. Will continue to use and recommend their services.

Very impressed! We were having issues with our gas fireplace and our technician, Cory, was great. He showed up exactly when they said he would and was friendly and knowledgeable. His inspection of the fireplace was much more thorough than we’ve had from other companies and he was able to diagnose and fix our problem right then and there. He was a great communicator and we got a detailed written report on what was done and information about our fireplace. Great experience. Highly recommend!

I accepted an estimate for a fireplace repair and then heard nothing for six weeks—no scheduling, no updates, no communication of any kind. After that long silence, they finally reached out asking for a deposit because parts had supposedly been ordered. Given that it had already been six weeks with zero follow-up (no phone call, no email, no outreach whatsoever) I asked a very reasonable question: if the parts didn’t arrive within 45–60 days, would the deposit be refundable? No one could give me a clear answer. Shortly after, the sales manager emailed me to say my order was canceled. So after nearly two months, I was left with no repair, no timeline, and no opportunity to work with another company sooner. If they had communicated upfront—or at any point during those six weeks—I could have made an informed decision. Instead, I lost valuable time and got dropped for asking a basic, fair question. If you value clear communication, accountability, and respect for your time, I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere.
