My experience with Deans Home Services was great. I inquired early in the morning through FB ad, got a call an hour later and had a rep at my house all before noon! I met with Casey Koch and was impressed with how personable he was. He gave me an estimate and decided to move forward with a brand new furnace installation and and new A/C system for central air. The installation date was quick and the team was professional. HVAC techs Trevor H. and Scott O. did a clean job when removing and replacing my old system and were communicative through the entire process. The electrician Markk was friendly and thorough running a new dedicated power supply to the new unit outside our home. Overall I would recommend DEANS HOME SERVICES to anyone who’s looking for a solid team to get your project done in a quick and clean fashion you won’t be disappointed. Good Job guys!

My experiences with Dean's has been great from the Sales Tech Tyler to both the installation Techs Zach and Joshua. I need a new AC unit to replace my old AC unit that was on it's last leg (not cooling). I decided to replace both my AC unit and furnace at the same time since both were the original ones since the house was built in the late 80s. Both units did there job lasting this long but it was time for an upgrade to better energy efficient ones. Overall, everything went well from the one moment I called them to the finished installation. I would recommend Dean's to my family members. Thank you.

Deans just completed an electrical panel upgrade, 4 new outlet boxes, around 18 new light fixture replacements in our basement, as well as a new furnace and A/C. I'll start with the electrical team. First off, Jake S was late. Matt Z and Heather arrived on time. Although I applaud Jake S for recognizing his need for beauty sleep, I'm not seeing the ROI there. After seeing my new, perfectly placed and dedicated quadplex outlets, I highly recommend Jake S hire Matt Z to install a new quadplex next to Jake's bed so he can plug in 4 new alarm clocks to improve his punctuality. I also love the new lights in the basement - flush to the joists giving me more headroom and they even installed dimmer switches for them as a surprise free bonus! Now we can enjoy the space in a full range of lighting conditions. In addition to brightening my basement, I hope Jake S is able to shed some light on his time-blindness. I'm very happy to have a new panel upgrading from our original 1957 model. It's not only improving the usefulness of my entire home, it's set up for future electric car charging and future outdoor outlet installations. Walking in the basement no longer feels like a dungeon. The only thing more lit than my basement Adam M's tiger chest piece. Let's move on to HVAC. I had Sam out to inspect our dying furnace and ac compressor, nearly 20 years old. He was very personable and we share a common love for artisan pickles. He was able to talk me through best/worst case scenarios and show me how the issues affected our daily lives as well as the options for replacement / repairs. Casey was out the next day and was very empathetic to my situation, needs, and budget. I could tell he knew what he was talking about but also was honest when he needed to reach out the techs for more answers. Very helpful and very kind. He even responded to questions via text throughout the process. They had many financing options that made this possible for my family so we didn't have to put ourselves in an impossible position or in a future emergency. I was able to schedule both installs back to back days within 6 days of our decision, which seems unheard of. Mark V came out and was very kind and professional. He collaborated with me to solve a venting placement issue and was patient while walking me through the details. Overall, and despite my kidding above, I want to make it clear that I'm greatly impressed by everyone at Deans. Sam, Casey, Matt, Adam, Mark, Marks teammate, Heather, Jake, and even the customer service team were all empathetic, patient, kind, talented, and professional. I felt that I was in great hands the entire time. Additionally, they handled the permitting, inspection scheduling, rebates, and warranties as well as setting up my thermostat for best comfort and efficiency. Casey specifically found me heating/cooling solutions that lowered not only my usage but even got me special kWh rates through excel which are projected to save me about $100/month. They truly have the customer in mind from every angle. I want to finish by mentioning that Matt Z and the electrical team went the extra mile during the diagnosis to uncover some ungrounded wiring issues as well as some heat damage behind my original panel which could have destroyed my family. His thoroughness may have actually saved our lives, and amplified the importance of finding the best people out there when it comes to big investments in your home -- especially when it comes to safety. In case you've read this far and are feeling like this review is so ridiculous it seems fake, it's not. I've spent 20 years in customer experience and it's really important to me to amplify world-class service experiences. I'm happy to share my time to spread the good word for all of the fine people I've met at Deans. Addendum: Jack came out today to perform the final HVAC electrical connection, and everything looks and works great! He was also very nice and personal. I can definitely see a championship belt in his future.

I was in need of replacing water heaters but was on the fence whether to do it myself or hit the easy button and let Dean's handle it. Free estimate was scheduled for next day and thanks to Jeff J. that decision became clear during the evaluation. He took the time to answer any questions and showed me what I was up against with this old plumbing and gas lines. The integrity and expertise was very much appreciated. My pockets are a little tight with all the projects on this fixer upper but he was able to help cut a great deal. Excellent support provided. Service also scheduled for next day, time to kick back and let the professionals take it from here. Edit to add post service review: Yup, definetly glad I let them have this task! The amount of work that was required to reconfigure this plumbing and get it to code would've knocked me out. Eugene and his apprentice did a tremendous job getting this taken care of and going above and beyond with addressing other discrepancies with the system. Couldn't be happier with all their hard work to get this completed. Excellent experience from beginning to end. Thanks for all the support.

Sold a bill of goods by Alan who claims to be a master plumber. He’s a better salesman. He would not even show up at our house when we asked for him after not being satisfied with quality of work after Day 1. They smashed open our basement floor with a sledge hammer and didn’t even saw cut neat lines. That should have been my first clue. I could have overlooked that if everything else was properly done. Paid $7256. Sloppy, incomplete work. They're gone and the job is still not complete to my satisfaction, but I think they’re incapable of doing a good job. Pipe leaked in two spots, ejector pump and float still not installed correctly after I told them what needed to be done - I’m going to have to undo their work and fix it - but they’re supposed to be the experts???? Pump and pipe vibration is excessive. Still no Alan. Sold the job, never to be seen again. I’ll probably have to hire another contractor to finish the job properly. No more Deans or DJs for us. They’re duped us for $7256 for a day and a half and $200 in parts and $100 of concrete. For that price I shouldn’t have to babysit. If you are dumb enough to hire them after reading this review, don’t pay in full like I stupidly did until the job is done to your satisfaction. Rogers MN RESPONSE to DJs Response 6 weeks since my original review: I called the project manager. The same technician/worker came back to fix a minor standpipe issue at request of the City inspector, which was fine, however, they had to fasten a 1" poly discharge pipe from our iron filter to the standpipe, so they screwed it on, pinching the 1" poly pipe to about 1/2 the outlet size...these guys are TOTALLY incompetent. There is a reason the poly pipe is 1" diameter - so it can allow free and easy discharge of the iron filter water per the iron filter manufacturer's installation instructions. I also had them replace the check valve that was "banging" (I did provide the check valve originally) with another one that I purchased. The second valve works great. I don't know why they did not tell me that to begin with???? Again, this was the reason I hired "experts" expecting they would know what they're doing and tell me. Finally, the cap on the septic basin had 4 pre-drilled holes so it would be easy to take on/off in the future for maintenance using 4 threaded bolts. How did they fasten it? With about 8 tapcon screws that were too long and hit the concrete floor preventing at tight seal, so they gooped it with silicone, missed a few holes, put a bunch more holes in the lid and the lip on my fiberglass septic pit, which now makes it a mess to seal and there is still "open air" of septic water where screw holes missed to lip of the basin and its not sealed. I've given up asking them to come back. They're simply incompetent at paying attention to any details and managers won't show up. After my first dissatisfaction, I was told be THE manager Alan, that next time he would show up - he never did or has since. They never did move the float valve on my pump that they were doing to do either. I was also told the first worker/technician would not be sent back - he was. Finally, Deans is asking me to call them??!?!? If they really cared, they would be calling me. I won't waste my time answering their call now. I'm so frustrated and disappointed that we hired these guys. I will finish the job myself. If you hire them, plan to babysit them (and know or research what you are doing so you can tell them) - don't expect them to be "experts". At least not at this type of floor drain/septic pit work.
