I contacted Del-Air Electric & Plumbing during a bathroom remodel because I wanted a shower valve replaced. Originally, I asked about replacing the entire valve, but I was told I only needed the internal components replaced instead, and I was quoted $315. Since they were the professionals, I trusted their recommendation and approved the work. After the plumber returned with the parts, I was then told the internals “couldn’t be removed” and the entire valve would need replacing after all — which was my original request from the start. The problem is that parts of the wall and plumbing had already been cut into before the updated pricing was discussed with me. That’s when the quote suddenly jumped to $1,497 for a job involving roughly a $90 valve and what should realistically be around two hours of labor. I fully understand skilled trades are expensive, but a labor rate that effectively comes out to $500–$700 per hour for a residential plumbing call is hard to justify. What made the situation worse was how quickly the pricing changed once I pushed back. The quote went from $1,497 to $1,000 after a phone call to the office, and then down again to $700 when I still declined. That kind of pricing structure does not feel transparent or upfront. It felt more like negotiating at a car dealership than receiving a straightforward professional estimate. If the price can drop by hundreds of dollars within minutes, it raises serious concerns about how inflated the original quote was to begin with. To be fair, the plumber himself was professional and did quality work. My frustration is with the company’s pricing practices and how the situation was handled overall. The bathroom was already fully opened up and prepped because it’s in the middle of a remodel, so there was no demolition or wall access work required on their end. All they really had to do was handle a valve replacement. I also currently pay this company $19.50 per month for an HVAC maintenance membership, but after this experience I’ll be canceling it because I no longer see the value. I’d strongly recommend getting multiple quotes from smaller local plumbing companies before committing here.

Once DelAir has your money, they don’t care about you or the overpriced 10-year warranty they get you to buy. Regular maintenance is essential to avoid voiding the warranty, but they make it difficult to do so. They have a larger 5-hour window of arrival time, so if you work, you have to take the entire afternoon off to wait for the technicians. During our last scheduled visit on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, we received a text stating that Bradley was on his way at around 3 p.m. (ish). However, our appointment was canceled without any notice. Bradley didn’t show up and notified “dispatched” that he stopped by our house, but no one answered. He also said he left a note on my door. I have a ring camera and a large dog that barks at everyone. Bradley needs a better GPS! Why won’t DelAir’s “dispatch” call and touch base regarding our scheduled appointment? When you call to discuss anything, your call always goes to an automated service where you WILL wait in a lengthy queue before your call is answered by someone who couldn’t care less about your service calls or concerns. DelAir clearly prioritizes new, high-paying installations over old service calls. Overall, I give DelAir one star for customer service.

Our heater kept shutting down randomly for the past few weeks. We have a newborn and she was waking up very cold in the morning. I called yesterday, Feb 01, and was able to lock in an appointment from 2-4 pm. My wife and I waited patiently all day, but no one came. Yes, we kept receiving messages letting us know that the technician was running behind, but then we had our window changed to 4-8pm. They recommended to reschedule. We rescheduled the appointment for 10-12pm today, but kept receiving messages that the technician was running late. I just canceled the appointment. The only positive thing was that I was able to troubleshoot and fix the heater myself. Del-Air installed our AC unit when we bought our house a few years ago, but I’m not sure if we want to do business with them.

Brad Dial serviced my system today. Very pleased with his service and professionalism. Brad explained his work and important information regarding my system and its maintenance and left me with a much better understanding of my system and how to keep it running well. Brad is very knowledgeable and knows how to communicate technical information understandably to a consumer. Please keep this gentleman as he is definitely an asset.

Josh did an excellent job and was extremely thorough. He found an issue or two gave me practical advice in order to extend the longevity of my air conditioning unit. He also offered, but did not push, other services on us which I really appreciated. Highly recommend them.
