Luis and his crew did an amazing job installing the new pet door slider. They were promt, super friendly and patient with my overly curious dog. They were very cautious of making any mess at all. Left no traces they were here. Love my new patio door with the built in dog door, no more drafts! Harley, thanks for making this transaction so flawless. Communication from the sales, installation and office team was refreshingly professional. I knew about my sales progress from beginning to end. Highly recommend Harley Exteriors!

EDIT#2 - HARLEY'S RESPONSE IS STACKED WITH LIES, INACCURACIES, LAME EXCUSES, AND GRAMMATICAL/SPELLING ERRORS....I REST MY CASE... AT THE END WE HAD TO SPEND ANOTHER $6,000+ TO HAVE OUR BRAND NEW DRIVEWAY AND MATCHING WALKWAY COMPLETELY STRIPPED, AND THEN PAINTED BECAUSE THE 3 OIL SPOTS COULD NOT BE REMOVED! THE SPOTS ALONE REQUIRED 4 COATS! IT WAS A TWO AND A HALF DAY JOB! We had a construction business in California for 35 years, so we knew that we were dealing with a highly knowledgeable, cordial sales rep, who spent 3 hours measuring all windows and glass doors, testing for argon gas presence, clearly explaining the process and how Harley works. Answering 3 of our concerns, he assured us that their size trim would fit the size we had without gaps, they would caulk around all windows, and that the workers are instructed to never ask to use a customer's private bathroom. Committed to an initial 3 windows replacement, with one being in the garage, blocked with a small fridge (which they helped us move) and commercial storage shelves. So we opted for CUSTOM obscure glass to block unsightly outside appearance. After 2 people came to confirm measurements, we were given a date for installation 7 weeks later. 1. Installers (who are SUB-contractors with linguistic communication issues – not employees) work order was for TWO windows, NO garage, which had taken us half a day to clear out for access. Harley scheduler was unaware - had to research what went wrong. Turns out communication between departments is dismal at best – someone thought the custom garage window was on back order, but it was there - just not found. And nobody bothered to tell us anything! Sent someone to Seattle to retrieve it and take the Ferry to bring it to us in North Kitsap, while installers waited at our house. And apparently unaware of company policy, as the first question they asked upon arrival was to use our private bathroom. 2. Their size trim was not the same as promised, as there was a quarter inch gap, which now must be painted by us. 3. Didn't even have enough trim for 2 windows, much less 3, having to go to Home Depot to buy more. Their power tools were not charged. The garage window finally arrived 4+ hours later and was installed. 4. Also discovered AFTER they left that the installers forgot to add header caulking at the 2 bedroom windows. 5. But the crowning "achievement" was their Big Box truck, which we offered they could park in our brand new $23,000 driveway to make it convenient for them to load and unload. They had moved it 3 different times – so now we have 3 ugly black spots in our driveway from leaking oil! Even muriatic acid did not remove them! Got a phone call from Harley a week later telling us to contact the concrete company to get a bid on fixing the mess, which was $945. Sent their sub-contractor to assess the damage, because he denied his truck did that and didn’t want to pay to fix it. He was downright obnoxious, accusing us of having created the oil slicks, although we have photos to prove otherwise! He also claimed they don’t caulk their windows, regardless of what Harley’s sales person said! Didn’t even bring a ladder! But we insisted – gave him our ladder to fix it – and did a horrible lumpy sloppy job, which we had him redo until it was acceptable. Last foul-up - when we got Harley’s check to cover the repair costs – it was rejected by our bank due to their accounting mistake, requiring another trip to the bank once that was cleared up. While the windows appear to be of good quality and well installed, based on our very frustrating experience, including Harvey top management not even bothering to address the problems and using their top sales person as a fall guy, we will not hire Harley to replace our remaining windows, nor recommend them to anyone we know.

Harley Exteriors did a great job on our windows! From the sales bid to the installation, everything went smoothly. I was a bit skeptical when they scheduled my install for a Friday but the crew knocked it out the park! 10 windows on two floors and they were done and cleaning up in about four hours! I was amazed! The windows are beautiful and they really make a difference keeping the house cool! I especially love the huge picture window that replaced 3 side by side century old windows.

Our initial experience with Harley Exteriors has been great. Todd was friendly, professional and knowledgeable with his presentation. It was so refreshing to have someone not denigrate the competition but speak of them respectfully. He showed us the differences and strengths with Harley’s product. He listened closely, answered our questions and followed up a few days later with helpful information. The quote was within our budget. We look forward to the install of our windows and sliding door and trust it will go as well as this initial experience.

Nico at Harley was very knowledgeable. He explained the benefits of their proprietary product and answered all questions! We were able to split the installation into 2 projects, which made the cost more manageable. Installation was about 2 months after we spoke to Nico both times. The installation was took a full day for part 1 (5 windows a sliding door). They did end up staying quite late (until 9pm), but it was all done in one day. Everything was picked up and we had no issue with the installers. The next install date is in a couple months. You can certainly notice the difference between the 90’s aluminum windows and the new windows in terms of draft. I’m looking forward to having the rest of the windows done. In terms of price, they weren’t the lowest by any means, nor were they anywhere near the highest. Our whole house (27 windows and 1 door, all custom sizes) was ~70K. Anderson quoted twice that and generic Millard (not eco grade) was a quarter that. All in all, I would consider this quite a reasonable price. Overall, a great experience! It’s why we went back to them for the second project!

"I have been looking for new windows for several years. I live in a 50 year old mobile home and the window sizes were not normal sizes that you can buy from normal window manufacturers. I was contacted by many companies but when they found out I lived in a mobile home, that was the end of the conversation. Then I was contacted by Harley Exteriors. Their sales representative came out to our house and told us that Harley Exteriors make their own windows of any size and have completed many mobile homes. And they do their own financing arrangements if you need it. Three weeks later the windows were ready. The installers showed up bright and early and started working. They replaced my ten windows in one day They cleaned up outside, inside, and washed all the new windows before leaving. It was a pleasant and enjoyable experience. The new windows look and function great. If anyone needs new windows I would highly recommend Harley Exteriors. They were friendly, professional, and very good at their work. Come look at my new windows and see. You won't regret using Harley Exteriors."

"The whole scheduling process was ridiculous. The scheduler didn't know what was going on. The installers didn't know what the scheduler was doing. The wrong window was ordered, and one screen was just installed today. The windows have been installed for a month now, except for the one installed last week. We had 27 windows replaced. They all open the same direction except one that opens vertical all the way to the top. These look out over Puget Sound. All are the same except for that one that someone messed up on. The comeback was, you were supposed to check your order. It was coded, so how is the customer supposed to know?"

"Harley Exteriors' service department is terrible. When I call them, they don't call back. They were supposed to come out and replace a window. They scheduled it with me. They never called to tell me they were not coming. I have a life and a schedule too. I waited and waited. They never showed up. I called and all I got was an automated service. It said to push 5 for customer service, 6 for sales, and 0 for receptionist. Nobody would answer when I pushed 5. Then I tried pushing 6 no answer. I pushed 0 for receptionist, no answer. I called three or four times in one day. No answer. I left messages and no one called me back. Finally, a project manager answered and said they would be back March 1st to replace the window. It should have been done Tuesday of last week. So, I would give them a 1-star rating regarding whether I would recommend them."

"The customer service portion was the worst! We were scheduled months in advance for our installation and one week prior they called to inform us we weren’t getting our garden window. I find it hard to believe they had zero knowledge about the possibility of that happening up until one week before our install date. If we had prior notice of that, we may have been able to find another company to do that one window for us. Also, the day of installation we didn’t get our screen for our slider. We finally got the screen a month later only to have them tell us the necessary tracks are back ordered. It has been two months since installation and we still don’t have the tracks. We have had to contact them multiple times to get a status. It seems like they don’t offer any information about anything unless they are wanting your money. Once they have it, their cares are gone. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone!"

"I asked for the people to call before they show up so I could put my dog away they did not. When I answered the door they had no identification, showed up in unmarked box truck and one guy was standing there vaping. They were very young and not professional. I called Janet immediately to ask if these kids knew what they were doing but she was not there so I let the gal who answered know I was not feeling comfortable. Janet was to call me back which she did not. There was very little communication throughout the day and left with unfinished job. No screens were installed, they just placed them in the room somewhere, one was shoved in-between the wall and hangers. They left 2 screens broken, 2 missing windows plus the slider door. One window had rotten wood which they did not talk with me about instead just installed it anyways. If they did do calking it was horrible, major gaps in windows. Just an all around horrible job. The following Monday 2 new gentlemen came out and I told them to prioritize the sliding door which they did. Still waiting for the plus and door track. I emailed Friday the 22nd after the first men left about my complaints and no one had ever gotten back from me. I called, left messages, still no response. I finally called early November and made the gal on the phone talk with me as she was going to have someone call me back again. She finally pulled up my file and sent her runner Steve out the next day to do a walk through. He was very nice, professional and honest. I hope he will be onsite when I do finally get people back out here. He could clearly see the laziness in the work and verified the downstairs rec window should not have been installed. He was good. I am in the supply chain so I understand if supplies are short and windows are on back order, that's fine. What I cannot tolerate is the unprofessional and poor craftsmanship done. These are not cheap windows and this is a huge investment for me and expect a higher level of service from a company of your stature. Yesterday I received an email from Melissa the service manager asking if I wanted the replacement screens mailed or someone to install them. Not once did she acknowledge my previous complaints or emails. I've tried replying to the email 5 times and it keeps erroring out so I can't even respond. The whole experience has been very disappointing and I will be happy when this project is done."

"Be more accurate and be more professional with your sales pitch. Reduce the high-pressure without forfeiting your sales numbers. You may even find better results if you walk in with confidence and respect. Also, the windows with privacy glass done incorrectly (privacy glass on the kitchen window one of our largest windows and no privacy glass on the bathroom window, our smallest window.) could have been figured out before they arrived if there was a quality check before taking the product to your client. Now you have wasted 2 more days of travel, manufacturing, wait time for you and client, and created a less satisfactory experience. Saves you money and time, the client time and we might be willing to tell people you installed our windows if there weren't mistakes, broken glass and suboptimal communication. If you made up for your mistakes a little we would be more satisfied but, we haven't heard from anyone other than the installer unless you are scheduling a day to return then we hear from you. All in all, middle of the road and what I expected from a contractor instead of a professional company. Nothing above and beyond and nothing to rave to the media about."

"The installation was scheduled for September 6th and they did not show up. I called the next day and was told that they had misplaced our windows. They were able to reschedule for the following saturday. The replacement was done quickly and the windows looks great. There was a sash that ended up being the wrong size. The installation foreman said would be reordered then replaced. When I checked on it 5 days later the project manager did not know what I was talking about and would have to look into it. I am still waiting on the resolution."

I did find nails, bits of roofing tiles and roofing paper scattered on the ground around my house. The roofers also left a bench seat from their van on my property with a "Free" sign on it when they left. I received an email and a phone call from my project manager introducing himself. He said he would contact me about an installation date but never did. The first indication I had about the install was a knock on my door at 7:15 am when the roof supplies were being delivered. That happened on a Friday. I called Harley Exteriors and was told that my roof installation was scheduled for the following Monday."

"My husband and I decided to work with Harley Exteriors to replace our casement style windows. The sales representative mentioned that they specialized in that specific window style and they’re generally harder to replace. We agreed to the “one time only” price and were later contacted to set up an installment date with our project manager, James. Everything was great and we prepped our house for the installation the night before by removing everything from on/near the walls. We were told the contractors would arrive anywhere between 8-10am. I got a call from James at 9am that morning stating that they were not going to come install our windows that day because they had not even been MADE. The company who makes the windows didn’t have a specific part (not their fault) but Harley Exteriors waited until the morning of our install to inform us. We had to put the house back together again and were told there was no estimated date for our windows to be finished. After a few weeks we finally got another install date and I asked James to keep me updated on every new detail about our windows. He did not do this and my husband and I actually had a very hard time getting in contact with him through both phone and email. No compensation was offered for their mistake and we had to ask for it. The actual window installation went well and the windows are fine. Nothing spectacular but they seem to be good quality windows. This however means next to nothing with how they treated us as customers. Stay away from Harley Exteriors."

"We felt that the salesman was high pressure like at a car dealership. He was nice enough, but because he was such a fast talker and smooth dealer, we weren’t sure in the end what we actually bought or got a good price. We had never bought replacement windows before. I went with the 50% off installation offer on the commercial and quality service. The sales rep said it was included. How do we know that? Was it in writing? He gave an inflated price, then lowered immediately once our jaws dropped. We didn’t have a good sample representation of the windows to be able to say specifically what it would look like installed. We felt we overpaid and the quality just isn’t as high as we thought we were purchasing. We compared it to our old windows that were replaced and it was much cleaner and nicer. We misunderstood that Harley was not the window manufacturer. We also didn’t see how they were sealed in between glass and locked. We are not happy with either. Another uncertainty was the color of glass. Low E numbers. We knew we didn’t want dark, the 4E sample, but what exactly was a 2E color? Then, the installers were not friendly and barely spoke English. They asked to use the restroom during COVID, and I did say yes, but it made me uncomfortable. I was home alone at the time. The seals are wavy on some of the windows, but not the others. The WORST was when they didn’t clean my new windows, they just wiped them with a dirty rag. The next day I had to clean them myself because I ti was excited for my new expensive windows- I wanted them to sparkle and shine! I found big scratches on the sliding glass door and smaller scratches elsewhere. There was a time when I heard one of the workers yell and a loud noise, but when I went to check on them they said everything was fine. I called my husband to come home from work to sign off and check the installation. He had them come back and seal with caulk where they cut out some of the deck wood. They came back and repaired it to his satisfaction at that time. The latches are almost too high to reach on top. I’m 5’51/2”tall. The slider seems to be the wrong size for the frame."

However, I did tell her to be prepared to be the one to reach out for any reason. I am not trying to throw the customer service department under the bus. I am just wanting to reinforce the importance of contacting your customer once in awhile. That would go a long way toward establishing a successful relationship. It wasn’t that my POC wasn’t pleasant, polite, and willing to answer my questions - when I called. He was. I simply am suggesting that making a 2 - 3 minute phone call every 2 - 3 weeks to keep a customer informed or to see if they have questions or concerns, etc. could yield a total positive review in the end."

"Very nice, prompt, put in long days. One of the plywood sheets in my upper roof that has mold on it, was not replaced. Long nails all over the attic through the plywood- is that a new technique? Clean up only ok. Many small pieces of old roof and LOTS of grit covering everything. Two gutters dented. I never had a walk through when finished. I would have been nice to learn about the new ventilation and what needs to be painted, and what type of paint needed. I have since figured this out at the paint store. I still don’t have my official warranty paper work. For the price, I expected better."

"The sales process associated with my new gutter project and the tear-out of my sky-wall and install of a new roof & window set-up was clean and efficient. I was kept up to date as far as scheduling. Specific to the sky-wall project, the installation crew arrived on time and was well prepared to complete the project. The installation team worked well together and had everything they needed along the way. Previous installation contractors over the years had scuffed up and damaged my cedar decking and I appreciated the exterior decking and interior wood flooring protection the Harley team installed and really appreciated they way they blocked off the installation area with poles and plastic sheeting. They also placed tarps on the ground / grass where they set up their saws . . . these tarps kept my yard from being covered in sawdust and other debris. They also did the little things that made for a cleaner and professional installation, such as having a guy with a vacuum cleaner capturing all the sawdust created when they were cutting into the trim and windowsills. As far as the workmanship, I was very impressed and pleased. There were five installers on the team and everyone seemed to understand their tasks, from the supervisor down through the trash haulers. The team required little (if any) of my time and were welcoming when I stopped in to check their progress. The project was completed on time and on budget and the workmanship was outstanding. Their clean-up was completed with as much care as the installation. All in all, a very efficiently and well run implementation. The only downside was that during the sales process, I just assumed the walls would be completely taped and textured and made paint ready. What I received was the first taping, leaving me to hire another contractor to complete the texturing and taping. Specific to the gutter replacement project, the installer arrived on time and was completely prepared to begin and complete the work. This was a very straightforward project and it came off perfectly."

Two of the windows that we had installed have opened with no effort at all. The rest of my windows require a bit of effort to open them.
