“They used a subcontractor and should have inspected themselves for QA. There were defective boards used and flaws with spacing and a stringer that was too short. I brought up these issues and they replaced the boards, but disregarded the other issues. While the fence was pretty good overall, especially considering they did it in about 4 hours (perhaps rushed through it a bit). This was not a superior job, which was my expectation for a professional company. I was hoping Builders would be committed to a higher quality product.”

“One thing I do remember, and I like this a lot, he brought his little book out with all the fences and showed me all the different ones and said, you know, ‘Just based upon your landscaping, I think this fence would look good.’ The one we ended up getting, he said, ‘And actually it'll save you money.’ He said, ‘You could get this one or this one,’ because I showed him one of my neighbor's fences. He said, ‘But that one's more expensive and based upon your landscaping, this one will look good and you'll probably save some money.’ So, I thought that was nice. Instead of trying to upsell me, he pointed out which one he thought would look good with our landscaping. So, it was good. I'd say an A- overall because they were quick and easy. Quality of work was great.”

I don't remember the gentleman's name, I think it was Jeffery or Jeff, he was very pleasant to work with, and best part, it was so cold that day, he came out and helped us find the—I don't know the correct terminology, the posts in the ground so we knew where our property line was. The contract was super, super easy. He literally just emailed it to me. I signed it, scanned it back to him, and within a week it was up. I would give them an A+ overall. I would absolutely recommend them.”

The guys were timely, they were quick, their pricing and their whole business model was very transparent, even down to the type of woods they were going to use and all that. In my book, that's the only company I'm going to use moving forward. Their quote was also one of the lowest, and I have yet to see any reason the lack of quality for the price. “So, it was positive. The only thing that I had was they basically—I needed a permit to build the fence and the deal was, they'll get the permit and then build the fence. They built the fence and then they got the permit, in that order. That's the only thing. But the fence is good, I got my permit and it was correct and they did a good job. I would give them a B overall. The quality was good. The customer service was very good actually. They were punctual.”

Quality of work—once they came back and did it all right, the quality of the work was good, but I had to ask them to come back and redo the stuff. I would probably recommend them.”

Only negative I had for them was after they did the job, I called two times, three times, asking them how I could get a spare part for a fence because a tree branch fell on it, and I still haven't heard back from them. It's been about five months of calling. They do a great job. I just don't know if they do a great follow-up if you have any more issues. I emailed and I called. I'm still waiting for the warranty information too. I'd probably give them a B overall. Just because the follow-up, they did everything great on the front end, it's just the follow-up. That's the most important. Like I said, I still don't have the warranty information.”

“Actually, I liked the salesman; however, they originally made an error in staking the fence, and they had to stop construction and come back and move the line of the fence. And then maybe six weeks ago, maybe two months ago, part of the fence fell. So, it came down. They came back the next day and repaired it. But, I liked the salesman, but there were things like that I wasn't happy about additionally. I'd give them a C because it fell.”
