“Jim Dandy visited the work site where I needed to install a new water line from the main to the house (about 80 ft). The site team (Daniel I believe was the primary) quoted me a bid of approx. $12,000. Then he looked at me and said "So, how does that sound to you?" His response immediately raised a red flag that his quote was negotiable. In other words, if $12,000 doesn't sound very good to you, I can bid you a lower quote! Then, two days later I get an email from Jim Dandy that says something to the effect, "If you act in the next two days, you will be able to take advantage of a 10% discount on our previously submitted bid." This is a poor marketing strategy that tells the prospective client, "We didn't expect you to take the price we bid, because it was too high to begin with." Long story short, Buyer Beware! The first bid is not Jim Dandy's firm bid!”

“I had a hair plug, I called them, and they charged me $500 for 20 min of service. They didn't give me a quote for a fee up front, and I believe they charged me for a full hour of service, but they were only here for 20 minutes. The labor took longer because the plumber had an apprentice with him. Essentially they just snaked the pipe, and they charged me for things they didn't actually do, like the removal of the P-trap and Hauling away of debris.”

“They were very pricey but did a great job. The guys were great and they were here in and out. They were here for 20 mins and replaced one section of plastic pipe and it cost $700. I wish they had stayed longer so felt like I got my moneys worth.”
