Thomas showed up promptly at 8am, was very courteous, troubleshooted quickly and provided thorough service. He also did a great job explaining issues with my 70 year-old house’s plumbing, and related short- and long term solutions to recurring problems. Jim Dandy’s pricing for this repeated service has increased substantially over the past few years, but they’re always reliable and do great work.

I had a small leak coming from my water meter, as well as a sewage odor emitting from my water trap. I wasn’t sure how to resolve the problem, but I knew I had to call a plumber. I requested help from Jim Dandy after seeing positive reviews and a positive record (I highly recommend verifying plumber licenses via the “verify contractor” tool that the state of washington provides!) Positives - Great customer service: I called them on a Friday and scheduled a request for the earliest available weekday. However, because I told them about the odor, they called me back asked if they can come immediately (which was the following day) since the odor was a big concern. I appreciated how they prioritized my issue and came to see the issue on a weekend. - Knowledgable and friendly technician: Since this was my first plumbing issue, and I was a bit cautious (having read negative plumbing experiences and reviews from other companies). However, my technician, Glenn, was super friendly, helpful, and informative. I appreciated how he explained how the piping mechanics worked in a way that was easy for me understand throughout the entire process. Glenn also has a background in HVAC units, so he was able to immediately resolve my smelly water trap issue (turns out it was dried out from not using the AC for awhile). He also gave me advice on how to detect leaks in the future, too. I got really lucky and was able to find this leak early due to the smelly water trap (which was a separate concern) - Transparency: I wanted to make sure I got a fair quote for my issue, so I appreciated how Glenn was very transparent on the quote. He presented different options to me on how to resolve the leak, making sure I was comfortable with the cost and next steps. - Resolution: Glenn helped me fix my issues in one visit. For the leak, we decided to tighten the screws to prevent the leak. I planned to monitor it to see if it completely resolved the issue so stay tuned for an update! - Overall experience: It was a pleasure working with Glenn. He’s experienced, friendly, and trustworthy! If I ever have any issues, I’d call Jim Dandy again. I recommend you do too if you have an issue!

Toilet repair by the tech was amazing . Quick ,clean ,and a fare price for their expertise and knowledge of systems! Update: We had a leak on the shower last night around 3 am when my partner came home from third shift and they showed up at 5 am to get it fixed !!! Jim dandy to the rescue !

Thomas was a great help! Very knowledgeable and gave extra information to help keep my pipes in better shape. Did a thorough inspection and recommended treatment. Treated my house and laundry room with respect.
