Amazing experience working with Jay and American Windows. Had them replace 16 windows and our patio sliding door and beat out other big brand competitors by thousands of $$. Jay went out of his way to ensure the install went great and even accommodated additional work (removed unsightly metal security bars and capped the holes left behind). The install crew were attentive and careful not to damage any surrounding areas of the windows or patio doors. Best part of it all, they got the job done in a day! Highly recommended and will definitely be using them again.

Jim is a nice guy I guess. This is just not a company I’d give business to again. The price Jim quoted us for the big curved window we wanted replaced was the lowest quote we got. He said he could tell our other windows were in bad shape and that if his company did a great job at a low price for this window, we would want to hire them again to do the rest of our windows. Honest statement and we appreciated the sentiment. He assured us that the new window would look exactly like the old window. Measurements were sent off and after waiting about double the estimated wait time we were notified that our new window was ready for install. When the workers came to install they realized about 30 minutes in that the new window was not the right dimensions. Jim ordered the window from their supplier a second time and we waited 4 months for it to come in. After installation of the correct window, we looked around and decided we weren’t happy with the quality of the installation. The window looked different than before - using thick plastic stripping all the way around on-top of the window frame. Because of the stacked nature of the windows, the stripping did not lay flat, and the workers had attempted to caulk the gaps that it left. In addition to the fact that they did not effectively caulk all the gaps - leaving cold air coming through, the caulk they did put down was globbed in the corners and messily spread out all over the sides. We let Jim know and he sent out their repair person. The repair person came with no ladder or paper towels - asking to borrow both. He didn’t attempt to fix any of the badly placed caulk, just added more in the places it was missing. We questioned him about the stripping since it is not on any of our other windows and he said it’s just one way of doing it. “Would I do it this way in my own house? I don’t know…” He left and Jim or anyone else from the company did not follow up again to make sure we were now happy with the work. These pictures are from the FINISHED product and is how our window looks now. For $5,000 and a brand new window, we are disappointed and the money we spent just hurts that much more.

We have used American WIndows and Siding 3 times over the past 10 years to have various casement and picture windows installed. Each time, dealing with the owner (Ed) and crew was a great experience. From proposal to pricing, contract execution and installation, American Windows knows that the key to customer satisfaction is not slick ads and promotions. It’s about knowing that customers want professional and skilled service, a quality product at a reasonable price, zero pressure, and unmatched delivery of services. These are rare business qualities in today’s economy. American Windows embodies them all. I called several window replacement companies to quote me on a window replacement because the outer pane of glass had been shattered. Charlie was the only one of those companies who told me I didn’t need a full window replacement—just a glass repair company. Saved me a ton of money and didn’t try to take advantage of my lack of knowledge. A true gentleman with integrity.

I am so pleased with the service I received from American Windows and Siding. They put in 14 windows, redid our dormers, all new rake boards, new gutters, fixed some siding and did a bunch of touch up work for me. Very professional and didn't stop until I was completely happy with the product they provided. The owner, Ed, was very helpful, responsive, and provided great advice. The crew were all professional and courteous too. Overall, I would highly recommend this company to anyone in the future.
